Firstly, before rating service, the woman scheduling is nasty, is extremely annoyed when you don't agree to day she offers, and tries to harass you into agreeing. If you know it's supposed to rain she will try to swindle you into agreeing stating they won't work in rain but that is a lie. They will come out and seal in rain even if you ask them not to. They are bait and switch and liars. The work was decent in the past. But have lost my business because of harassing woman and operating in rain behind your back knowing it's not optimal and you clearly tell them not to. read more

I have been a customer with Sure Seal for over 15 years, but now I'm done with them. They have been hiking my estimate for the last two to three years for sealing my driveway and I'm fed up with it. I live in a townhouse development and I only have a single car driveway vs those who have a shared driveway (two families share a two car driveway). I was recently quoted a price of $305 for my single driveway. My two neighbors next door (who share a two car driveway) were quoted $350 for the entire driveway. That means each family is only paying for their share of the driveway or $175/each. Where is that fair? If you cut their two car driveway in half it would be the same size as mine. I asked Sure Seal why I am being charged $305 for having a one car driveway versus their 2 car driveway price and each one of them are only paying $175/each and I'm paying $305. I was told by the guy who gave me the estimate, and I quote, "that's the beauty of having a two car driveway ". Well, I'm sorry I don't have a 2 car driveway. I could use the extra space . That's not a good enough answer for me. He then told me that Sure Seal's base price for any size driveway starts at $300, no matter what the size. I do not believe that for a second because the two car driveway next door and many more in my development with two separate families paying, are only paying $175each........not $300, which they said was their base price for any size driveway . I can't believe they thought I stupid enough to pay that price. . Sure Seal, this is no way to win business! Since I told my neighbors what they were charging me, 5 of them have cancelled with Sure Seal and we had it done by another reputable business, and it looks better than what Sure Seal has done for me lately and with a much more reasonable price. Do not use these guys.....came to my house to just "prep" my driveway because its a rainy day & driveway was completely wet. kid said we are here to just prep and we will be back in a couple of days......next thing you know.....they are firing up the kittle and pulling the hose off the truck......I went outside and said you are not doing that today......and the kid said "yes"......I called the owner and he said it was ok.......I said.......no, I'm the owner and its not ok... then the kid tells me "I never said we were here just to prep.......so I told him to take their sign down & get off the properity. it is not ok to apply driveway sealer to a wet driveway. surface must be dry to ensure the sealer properly adheres and cures, as water prevents binding. dilutes the sealant and can trap moisture, leading to a failed protective layer and premature cracking. always wait for a period of rain free, dry weather for at least 24 to 48 hours before and after applying the sealer? this is no way to do business! read more

Today I arrived home to a Sureseal truck parked in front of my home. I wondered why they would leave their equipment parked in front of my home when I never requested their service. I called to requested them to move it. 6 hours later it is still there???? Shouldn't this company direct their employees to park in front of the home requesting their service. They repaved my driveway 4 years ago. Recently, It developed a major crack across the width that I never had before even with the old 30 year driveway. Now I have areas that are thin, crumbling and have surface cracks . I am told it is from the rake the guys used to blend the machine lines. It looks worse than the old driveway I had repaved. They raised the height of the driveway and now I have water running into my garage under both garage doors?? Jeff came out took pictures on a Friday and said he would be in touch on Monday. Almost 2 weeks later I got a call in the evening from Jeff saying that they can't do anything for me?? In addition, their customer service is terrible. Do not use this company. Sadly, they are not interested in satisfying the customer. My bill was almost $9000 read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Sure Seal, LLC decided to seal my 2 year old driveway, 5 minutes before a downpour. The 'black' sealant splashed-up against our tan siding and ran onto, and stained, our sidewalks. I immediately called them and requested to have the re-seal done, as it obviously immediately washed away. I also requested that they clean-up the siding and the sidewalk. Well, 5 weeks later, and they still have not placed my driveway on their schedule. I was told today by 'Ashley', "you know, we don't come to Langhorne every day." I just wanted a date that my driveway would be done, and for thew last 5 weeks, I've received 'call back next week'. And, now, on today's call, I was told that my job will go on 'THE HOT LIST.' OK, so what date should I look for the job to be done? STILL NO DATE. Not even an estimated date!!!! HORRIBLE! I was extremely happy with the quality and service provided by Sure-seal of Danboro Pa. 1) The boss explained well the scope of services. After I received the quote, the boss called me one evening to go through it and delineate clearly what was and what was not included. 2) They gave me a courtesy reminder call. A nice, professional woman named Sandy called me 2 days before the job, to remind me. 3) The work crew was a nice, courteous bunch of young men, named Jake, Gabe and John. 4) The work was done well and the team was thorough. 4a) They started by cleaning off the driveway and removing loose pieces of past coating and asphalt. 4a) They filled some visible cracks that I had on my driveway, and I can't even see them now. (Please see the note below, on clarification of cracks.) 4c) They were EXTREMELY THOROUGH about how they did the driveway edges, that is to say where the driveway meets the grass, the concrete walk, and the entrance to the garage. They were meticulously careful about not getting any sealant onto neighboring concrete. 5) The work crew went over and above my expectations. What really impressed me was how they treated the edge that meets the concrete walk, at the end of the driveway, by the street. They worked to dig out all of the chipping, degraded sealant at the edge of the driveway, then they refilled this "divot" with an acrylic polymer compound. 6) The pricing seemed fair to me. It would have taken me about 1 day to do the work myself. My Saturdays are worth FAR more to me than the price they charged. One key point about their scope of work is the question of "What cracks are treated?" Prospective customers, please understand the difference. IN MY INTERPRETATION (not their words) 1) They fill in MACROscopic cracks, say larger than the thickness of a quarter, with acrylic sealant. These are no longer visible on my driveway. 2) They only recoat (not fill in) MICROscopic ("hairline") cracks, say as thick as a fingernail. A few of these may still be visible. (So what? My 60-year-old face has a few of these too! Laughs) I'll tell you what, for 24 years I had always done my own driveway recoating, but I'm NEVER doing it myself again! I'm calling Sure-seal! My driveway turned gray a few weeks after SureSeal coated my driveway and they refuse to fix it, In addition to the graying, there is also visible streaking and you can see the stripes left by the squeegee. I contacted SureSeal and complained.and they sent out a guy to look at my driveway. Steve videotaped the damage.and initially claimed it was the result of rain shortly after the application. A few days later, they they recanted and accused me of using silicone on driveway even though the ENTIRE driveway change color. I have used SureSeal for home driveway sealing for about a decade. The most recent service Summer of 2021 was terrible. Edging was horrible. Piles of black soot near garage door. Spots on garage door. Edging became discolored and has white patches. Edging near garage door has gaps and now I have ants making nests in the cracks. They did a completely unacceptable repair upon returning after I reported the poor work. I will NEVER use SureSeal again for driveway sealing. read more

One of . their serrvices is snow removal and it's the only service I can comment about. They have three stars because once they come they do their work well. Actually very well. The only problem is in coming. I used their seevice three times; twice I saw no problem but the third time I was waiting almost two days! Because all that time I was kept in belief that they would appear at any moment I had not seek another help.What's worse I turned down two potential helpers. Do not use this company for snow removal This past weekend we got snow Saturday night into Sunday morning We got approximately 2-3 inches on the grass surface and about 1-3 inches on the driveway Sure Seal was out plowing 7:30AM Sunday morning. By 11:00 the snow was gone off my walkways and nothing was done - by about 3 all the snow was gone. The temperature reached 47 degrees. This has been there pattern thus far this season. Complete rip off. They didn't even finish the job for several months after I hired them. Several days of no-shows. Once they finally worked on my driveway it was 2 different colors when finished. Had cracks everywhere and looked worse than it did before they started. Was a complete rip off and had to pay someone else to redo it properly. My husband and I were told by our HOA to seal coat our driveway. It had cracks and depressions and was 20 yrs old. We called Sure Seal, Steve R. came out the next day, wrote an estimate, answered all my questions & was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Robin was awesome and understanding with scheduling. We had our driveway re-surfaced yesterday & the workers were awesome! Sure Seal arrived at 9 a.m. sharp! The men even moved our decorative stones that were on our lawn, out of the way and put them back exactly where they were when they were done! Had them redo our driveway. All rain water drains right in to the garage and the slight turn of a tire rips up the 1 year old driveway. Went back and forth for over a month with them asking to fix at least the fact that the water drains in to the garage. When we could finally get them to answer us (over a month after our first complaint) their only fix was they could come out and give us a quote to fix it. Why would we pay for them to do a job they were already supposed to do? Definitely would not recommend due to lack of quality, communication, and lack of care for customer satisfaction. read more

They coated our driveway one time and it was fine and lasted well. The next time they coated in the fall and it started looking bad in just a few months. As soon as the worst weather was over we called and they came to check it. The only thing they would do is to give us half price on another coat job. They lost our business. read more

In September 2011 I contracted with Sure Seal in Doylestown, Pa to seal my driveway. I was not at home when the work was scheduled so as they requested, I left a check for them. They collected the check and sealed the driveway, but that night it rained very heavily and all the sealant was washed away. They agreed to reseal the driveway but have never scheduled anything despite numerous calls to them. They have my money, and I have nothing. Be aware that if anything goes wrong, SureSeal Seal Coating of Doylestown will not honor their contract and they will not make it right. read more

I had a small issue during the winter, called the company and spoke with the owner Steve, who sent people out to quickly fix the issue at no charge to me. We had our driveway seal coated in the Fall, 2014. They told us it included a one-year warranty. 7 months later the sealant is flaking off all over the driveway. We called to asked them to come back and fix the problem. They left a note in our door that the driveway is "Not Sealable." WHAT?? I just paid you to seal it and NOW you're telling me it's "Not Sealable"!? What happened to the one year warranty? Then we were told the whole driveway would have to be resurfaced for $2,500! We asked for a refund of the seal coating that was already done and they said no but they would credit us towards resurfacing ($2,500). Not happening! Don't trust them. Stay away from Sure Seal at all costs!!! They completely ripped me off!! I'm taking them to small claims court because their dishonest business practices. Sure Seal failed to do the work that was agreed to. I hired them to seal my driveway and as part of the service I also requested that an area with a dip/crack near my garage door be repaired as well. The Sure Seal representative (Carly) stated over the phone that the area would be repaired when the service was rendered. In order to clearly identify the area in need of repair, I took pictures and submitted them to Carly. In addition, I clearly stated to Carly that if the area would not be repaired during the seal service then they should not perform the service at all. Carly confirmed that the repair would be completed. On the day of the driveway service was completed the area was not repaired as previously agreed. Another Sure Seal representative (Robin) was called on the day service was completed and I was told that she would investigate. Three days later Robin called and admitted that Carly had misspoken and that the area would not be repaired and no refund or other form consolation would be offered. The only suggestion made was to repair the area at an additional cost. Really?! You want to pay more to correct your error? I told her NO THANK YOU!! and I will see you in small claims court. This company clearly has no concept of how to treat their customers. Update 7/4/16 - The owner of Sure Seal contacted me after they were served with a summons to appear in smalls claim court. Not surprisingly, they were very apologetic and made every effort to ensure that we were satisfied with an updated repair. While I'm satisfied with their effort to rectify the situation I remain disappointed with the fact that I had to pursue legal action to get them to treat us fairly. read more
