At BTP, you will find the most sandwich and full-bodied semi-sweet pancakes you will ever eat in your life. Flavoured with a cascade of maple syrup, they will be the perfect match for the fried bacon with which they are served. Tired of avocado toast - let's face it, I can do it myself at home, without spending nine effing pounds - I wanted to try the famous eggs Benedict. Accompanied by two slices of sourdough toast bread and hollandaise sauce they were fire! I also wanted to add some bacon just to keep it light... because why not?! I was expecting classic American bacon in thin, crunchy and super scorched strips, but I think this is the English version: thick and almost rounded slices, more like a slice of meat, but still delicious af. The meat was tender and cooked evenly, nicely browned at the edges.

The menu includes a vegan dish in every category. Along with veggie options, and meat too! I ordered the vegan veggie breakfast for under £7. My partner ordered the vegan banh mi. After we ordered we headed outside to their beautiful outdoor garden. They claim to have the largest on park street. There was a lot of seating in the sun and the shade. Our food came out in a timely matter and was absolutely delicious. They veggie breakfast was so tasty! The only thing I'd change would be to add a vegan sausage or avocado in place of the missing egg from the standard veggie breakfast. The banh mi was perfect as is! We finished our food and soaked up some son. Everything about our experience was enjoyable and we will definitely be returning!

I love the decor- very mythical fishermen with posters for movies and wanted signs. They have an extensive menu, including alcohol and their cider comes in 500ml bottles. I've been told it's quite expensive in local standards but for the atmosphere it's worth it. I'd like to give a shoutout to one of the chefs. We had shown up here and the hostess had said they were not taking any one without a reservation. But there were open tables. Disappointed, we walked out. Standing in front of the restaurant, trying to figure out what to do, the cook comes out and says they will make room for us. Absolutely the sweetest. We were so stoked to eat at this place again. He even brought out tasty food out to us himself!

The local chippy may have won some awards, but the takeaway vibe isn't so enticing. So when you want a bit more of a dining experience this is a modest cafe style setting that's nicely decorated in the centre of town. We parked in the back streets on a meter. My haddock and chips and Sam's cod and chips were freshly made and really good. Our waitrees gave us friendly service and was attentive. We went in the early evening in early Jan and it was pretty empty.

The other dish was a New York steak ciabatta (with amazing chips). We ordered wine and washed the tasty meal down before following it up with sticky toffee pudding and a decidedly evil peanut butter cheesecake (which comes in a glass). We like it here. It's grand and light, and the food is good and reasonably priced. What would we change? We would upgrade the condiments, so that the ketchup is better, and that authentic maple syrup is used on our pancakes rather than golden syrup, which is thick and doesn't taste of much. We would also have preferred our meals a bit hotter, as we felt like we had to wolf it down before it got cold. But these are small niggles that can be easily fixed, and probably will be at some point if the professionalism of the staff is anything to go by. They're friendly, not over-familiar, not too pushy, and they seem to want to go out of their way to make sure you enjoy Cosy Club. The wine list is short, but will hopefully improve in time. As of writing, it's only been open a couple of weeks. I look forward to being able to buy Champagne by the glass!

Bit of a con to call a starter menu tapas! And I was expecting to order something I'd never heard of, but it was tempura prawns, dim sum, pork kebabs, chicken satay and other standard starters! When I went to Thailand recently, there was something always on the menu called 'morning glory'...I love ordering things I've got no idea about (even if it does turn out to be a plate of veg!!) but there was nothing exciting about the menu. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious so maybe my expectations were just all wrong but I was thinking it would be out of the ordinary. The decor is lovely, a real feeling of Thailand and there's a lovely hidden garden out the back. Service was great, the people were really friendly and helped with how spicy things might be. Our waitress told us the chef's are Thai (which helps to make the food delicious) but when they say spicy they mean spicy! It was a lovely evening and setting but not the new fave eatery I was expecting!

They had 2 pages of typical Thai/Asian starters: chicken skewers, spring rolls, prawn toasts and a few other dishes that you could order as a small plate, but nothing different. I was really expecting something I hadn't seen before. Maybe I was thinking too leftfield, but I was very unenthused by the menu. When the food arrived it was OK. We shared some pork dim sum which came in crazy amounts of chilli. That was OK for me but not for my girlfriend. The mains were fine, but for around £9 I'd expect more. It tasted like something I could whip up myself from buying ingredient from one if various Asian supermarkets. I actually think I've cooked better! Decor wise it was very nice. They have done an incredible job from what it was when it was Zizi's and I bet that on the right summers day it would be lovely to sit in the garden. This would be a good place to go for a alternative family meal as the place does have some wow factor. But if you want to go for a really good Thai meal, there's definitely better places to go in Bristol!
