Here you will not find the mega brewery BS, or the megabrewery disguised as a craft brewery, no 16, Kronenbourg, Heine@#$en (won't pronounce it) or any crap like that. Really good brews, cools ambiance, polite bartenders, great terrace, no more expensive than anywhere else, often live music, big mixed plates of cheese/vegetables/cold cuts.

I just did one last night and although it was fun, I was a bit disappointed in other aspects. See,…read moreat the cost of 20 euro one would normally expect there to be some food and drinks included. Or at least, after having read their ad on the digitic website, we were under the impression that it was. But of course, it wasn't. The only food available on the boat was pizza (3 euro a slice of 10 euro a whole pizza) and wine (3 dollars a glass, 20 euro a bottle). I know that Marseille is not know for its exciting nightlife, so a lot of people seem to be sooo into the idea of having a 3-hour part on a boat. But honestly, taking into account the expense, I've had way better parties which lasted quite longer. It's a cool activity to do with a group of friends if you have nothing else to do and some money to spare. Which seem to be frequent symptoms among the young in Marseille.

Prices are quite fair for a restaurant that's right on the sea with a million dollar view. The house-made desserts were excellent. Friendly and attentive service, and they speak fine English. We would absolutely return - happily. Pro Tip - don't go for dinner at 7p like we did. The sun is still quite hot at 7p. Go at 8 or 8:30p so you can enjoy the extraordinary view. The only downside was, as the waiter mentioned, it didn't have any fish in it though he did give me a lot of crustinis to put in it. My husband had Beef Burgundy over pasta and it was amazing. My friend had Burbot with Saffron and she raved about it. Wonderful sunset location! We would have liked dessert and coffee, but the waiter never came back. We also learned that we had to go to the bar and tell him our table number in order to pay. But overall, a wonderful experience.
