My only issue is that they would not accept mini alcohol bottles due to the lack of a barcode, even though these mini-bottles bear the "Return for refund where applicable" text indicating that they are part of the provincial beverage recycling program. Other Return-It depots accept them with no issues. There also doesn't seem to be any sort of indication of where guests should queue for service. They do have some signage on the side of the counter which is reminiscent of the COVID social distancing era, which I found quite strange.

The inside is huge with all the tables placed in a square where you can sort your bottles and then wait for an attendant to come to you. There's a handy area to wash your hands. Seriously, Burnaby is the only municipality around here that gets things right, unlike Vancouer. Cough. This place is surprisingly open all 7 days, which helps big time. Staff are friendly and helpful. They pointed me to the correct area with a smile. Seems like they actually like working here. The facility is very modern and surprisingly clean, compared to the Vancouver Transfer Station. As mentioned in the name, they also accept piles of other stuff such as yard clippings, glass, wood, and metal. Pretty much a one stop shop, so people actually have a way to get rid of stuff instead of using random fields, gutters, and bushes like in Vancouver.

Turned to google and found out Return-It depots are opened to accept items for recycling. This outlet is near metrotown on imperial. Parking is at the rear. The place is spacious with tables spread out. There is a sink with soap dispenser available to wash your hands. Trays are there for you to put your recyclable bottles/cans for easy counting and carrying to the counter. It is very efficient. As recycling is more of my purpose rather than the refund of the deposit, I did not really pay attention to the actual amount I should get. Plus it all happened so quickly. This place also accepts clothes (or textiles), paint, lightbulbs, batteries, small household appliances and electronics for recycling. This will be my go to place to recycle those textiles and other items in future. Plus I really like it that this place is clean.

This location has been the cleanest return it depot I've been to…read more The service over last Christmas season was wonderful. The manager, Larry, was very welcoming, and extremely helpful. He even helped myself and other customers sort their bottles and move the trays. Recently though, he hasn't been in very much and the shop has clearly gone downhill fast. Other workers are rude, repeatedly ignore or yell across the room at customers instead of going over to help. I also find it inconsiderate and less inviting when I enter a shop where the employees are all speaking to each other in a language other than English. Just makes you wonder what they might be saying about customers that can't understand them. Young female employee said she didn't know if Larry was coming back. Happy to see he did come back because I was about to go find a different depot to give my business to.

The guy was obsessive compulsive about recycling I guess, but his intrusive nature and following me around the tiny place stressed me out so much o dropped my stuff on the floor and walked out. He came outside and yelled at me as I was getting into my car! My experience was bad and the next time I went there I was prepared for him but he was already gone!

I've used they're service before for 64g tote bin and was hoping to get them on board at the last place I worked at, however, the price wasn't comparative, however, as a stand alone service I highly recommend them. Always good polite communication which is important to me.
