After briefly combing Yelp for helpful reviews to make our decision, we came across Pho3mien; we were pretty sold based on the photos that others have taken of this place. In terms of location, the restaurant is located north of what one would consider the city center. It's a bit in the cuts, but definitely worth the walk. Whilst traveling on foot, I did not notice any parking garages/lots and only street parking for this restaurant. I also seem to recall that it was a one way street. So if you would want to come here, I suggest parking in the parking garage about 4 blocks away (if you're driving) and then walking the rest of the way. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite how the pictures looked, my expectations were still rather low. It is really a pan-Asian restaurant - the menu offered Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines. They also dabbled in dim sum. We came here for the Vietnamese food and that's exactly what we got. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Germany, Pho3mien rates amongst the top 10. The variety that is found here is like none other that I've seen in other restaurants. Example, Pho Bo is usually the only pho variation served in Germany (some restaurants may offer Pho Ga). At Pho3mien, you can also find, Pho Tai (medium cooked meat), Pho Dac Biet (special), and Bun Bo Hue in terms of the soup noodle category. They also have coi guon, banh xeo, com bo luc lac, and vermicelli bowls as well. Tip: Che 7 Mau. My Asians will know this drink. Only restaurant I've found in Germany that serves this. The only other asian drink that will probably beat this is Boba (we have yet to find one of those). The food quality exceeded my expectations and it was a delight to dine here. Would definitely come here again if I'm stopping in Hanover.

It has about 6 tables that seat 4-8 people each. And the interior is pretty decent. Nothing too fancy, but not run down, tacky, or any of that. Just a chill place to enjoy some Vietnamese food. Service was very nice. We were seated with our menus (in German/Vietnamese) but they had some photos to help. If you use Google Translate on their webpage, it's a big help! And the menu is on there. Our Pho was very good! I would be sure to ask if something is spicy. I didn't realize mine would be, so I ended up switching with my husband...and he added even more chili (Which they serve on the side with lemon). The broth is awesome and you can tell they know what they are doing. Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Simply because it was quite good, but I try to keep my 5 stars for those WOW spots.

Because it was raining, we and most other customers chose to sit inside. Perhaps I ordered the wrong one (ramen with gyoza, the gyoza comes on the side) but it was actually pho. See the photo. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't ramen either. I ate it anyway. The gyoza filling was edible but also wasn't completely satisfying. I was very happy with the Genmai tea which came very hot. I would try the other ramen places in town before coming back and ordering something else on the menu to see if it comes close to ramen.

If you don't know what ramen is at all, you might be ok with what they serve at this restaurant…read more Although the menu of ramen looks varied and authentic, listing a lineup of familiar ramen names like tonkatsu, shoyu, and salt ramen that will make any ramen aficionado salivate just by reading them, don't get too excited. We ordered a tonkatsu and two chashu shoyus, expecting the usual fragrant umami of a clear brown soy sauce based broth for the shoyu and a more fiery reddish spicy miso broth for the tonkatsu as is unique to each dish, and instead got three bowls of what looked like a clearer version of miso soup with slightly different ingredients like egg or sprouts topping each one. The chashu was not slices of bbq-d pork like you would expect, but paper-thin sliced *boiled* meat that covered the entire dish like you would find in a southeast Asian soup like pho--the soup even tasted a little bit like a light chicken broth for pho--and the noodles were unfortunately like overcooked angel hair pasta. The gyozas we ordered were charred and overcooked as well, but at least the wilted spinach salad was pretty tasty with its soy ginger mayo sauce. The staff was also very friendly. All in all, it didn't taste awful, but it wasn't Japanese either, let alone ramen. Not by a long shot.
