Best Dive Charter Boat in Pensacola..... Hand Down!!…read more I have dove on a lot of Dive Charters in my years but the service and professionalism is hands down the best I've ever had. Capt. Doug was very accomadating to all my needs including a last minute need for only one tank and he was able to help me with an equipment malfunction too. Once at the site I was met at the dock and all my gear and tanks were loaded by the smiling boat crew and the Captain. The boat left the Marina on time and the ride out seemed short as we snacked on fresh fruit and told stories of our travels. Dive Master Rich gave a very thorough Breifing of the Oriskany and I felt very at ease by the time we arrived on site to begin the dive. Everything went smooth and I could not have been happier with the service provided by the crew and Captain. I will definately be diving with the H2O Below again!

I met the boat at the Harbor and was greeted promptly. They even have a cart to carry your equipment to the boat. I was coming from out of town and landing the night before the dive and could not pick up my own tanks. CPT Doug made arrangements and my Nitrox tanks were waiting for me on the boat. I can't say enough about the great service and friendly attitude of CPT Doug and his DiveMaster. The boat was run well and full of safety equipment. The briefings were in detailed and easy to understand. The dive itself was great too. The USS Oriskany is a must dive. We had hot dogs, chips, snacks, and sodas provided on the trip. Very enjoyable. In the top 2 dive charters I have been on in the United States.

Thanks to all!…read more I'm not typically one to write reviews, but I had to share how good my experience was with Pensacola Sailing Academy (formerly, "Lanier"). Even though I did my ASA 101 in another state, the PSA folks were willing and able to provide a "refresher" sail while I was on vacation to the Gulf Coast with my family. Braxton was thoughtful and responsive throughout scheduling on the phone (following up without a hitch several times on my many questions); Kathy was at the marina early, had the boat ready before I arrived (which is no surprise given her 20+ years in the business), and got me on the water fast; and my instructor, Bryce, was an absolute pro! Bryce was super-knowledgeable and systematic in approach; both patient and encouraging as we got my sailing muscles working again; and a lot of fun to sail with for a few hours! (Remember, Bryce, that you BETTER have the last words in any future arguments with your lady!! ...and those words should be, "Yes, dear.") ;-) My only constructive criticism for PSA is to give your students/renters a bottle of water (or even two) rather than charge for it. Not a complaint! But I imagine that providing that comfort/safety essential for "free" will come back to you (in goodwill, at least) by orders of magnitude. Look me up if you ever sail through San Francisco Bay. It would be my privilege to crew for any of you!

As you enter, there are four Blue Angels Jets in formation suspended from the ceiling. As with most Visitor Information Centers, there are restrooms, brochures, and places to sit and relax. It is right on the Pensacola Bay. This is a good place to stop in before heading across the Pensacola Bay Bridge to Gulf Breeze or Pensacola Beach and beyond. There is a sidewalk along the water's edge. It was closed in Aug. of 2022 due to damage from Hurricane Sally. I would definitely recommend coming in and picking up some brochures!

Since we flew in, we didn't have space to bring much equipment, so I called a few times asking questions about di#erent things. Every time I called, I spoke to someone new and they were all very nice and knowledgeable. The day of diving went very smooth from check-in to loading everything on the boat. You check into the shop and then drive across the street to the dock to drop off your equipment and park. Ben, the mate was helpful, funny, and knew right where to put us on the boat and who to pair us with. We did a reef dive for the first one and it was full of fish and different coral. The second dive was a wreck and really cool. We got to see the goliath grouper that stays in the wheelhouse and tons of different fish. The visibility was very good at both places. Nancy, the captain, was excellent. She knew so much about the area and the different dive sites and knew right where to drop the anchor and then the divers. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.
