" Superlamb Is A Super Shop " I had looked for new console covers for my new 2018 Ford Explorer for weeks, and really could not find any that I liked that much. So I went to Superlamb and talked with their Sales Representative Shaun Doole. Shaun is very friendly, and followed me outside to my car and brought out Pattern Maker Anita to see what I wanted for my console. Superlamb makes padded Sheepskin Arm rest, console covers, auto seat covers, boots, shoes, Etc., and anything else they can to help your needs. Anita did some measurements, and within a few days I returned to Superlamb to pick up my new console sheepskin padded cover. It looked and felt very good. I had a great experience purchasing my seat covers from superlamb. From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by a smiling worker who knew all about the various seat covers they offer. I settled on a neoprene model for my Camry the owner came out and went over specifications and we set up an install appointment. The front covers went in just fine but the back seat there were issues because the seat was not a standard 50/50 seat but a 60/40 and had a pull down armrest. It took a very long time to get it right with two visits and this is in NO way a dig rather they took all the time needed to make sure the job was done perfect. I didn't mind at all the extra time I know they wanted it to be just right and I very much appreciate the effort it took. I had a wonderful set of sheepskins that I bought for my Kia Optima a few years ago when Super Lamb was in the Miramar area. I was thrilled to find that they had moved to Auto Park Way in Escondido, and that they were willing to refit the covers to my Mazda CX-5. I was able to get an appointment this week, and they did a fabulous job repairing one of the sheepskin covers, and refitting them to my new vehicle. The sheepskins look like brand new on my Mazda front seats, and I can't say enough about the expertise of the Super Lamb team, and their great customer service. These sheepskin seat covers are so comfortable, and once you have had them custom done for your car seats, you won't ever want to be without them. I also love their new facility in Escondido which is much larger, and their showroom of UGGs and Superlamb products which are beautifully displayed there. Ordered leather type seat covers for my high-end sports car. Nothing on the website said custom seats would be required. After hassling with the seat covers for over an hour trying to install them it was obvious they did not fit. I left an email with this company of course with no return. I called the company only to get some half-cocked explanation about why they didn't fit and what they could do about it. First I was given no definite answer about returning the seats! Really?! Then I get a call back stating I can ship them back at my expense because they do not provide shipping labels. Give me a break! Just seems like a poorly run business with a dubious return policy. Stopped in yesterday for a new pair of Uggs, had mine for 5+ years. The service was wonderful, attentive, and quick. I needed a size 7 in black but they only had chocolate. I hate shopping and the chocolate was cute so I would have walked out happy and not needed new ones for several more years. The saleswoman said she might have a kid size in black that would work and be $60 cheaper!!! They fit perfectly and while she was looking I found another pair I loved. My seat cover inserts are so plush, soft and a rich black in color. Since I get off work in the wee am, my behind no longer has to be cold on my leather seats! I have electric seat warmers, but still, I don't like that instant shock of cold waiting for my seats to get warm. Lol. I can still use my seat warmers, the heat still comes through and I'm even cozier. I'm not into full seat covers, since I do like the color of my leather seats to show through, so having the inserts is a nice contrast. Even without the embroidery, they still look nice. Tom, the manager, assessed our car and said that the semi-custom seat covers would work with a little alteration. They did the alterations on the spot and installed the seat covers while we waited. My experience at Superlamb was absolutely phenomenal. I had been looking at different sheepskin cover places online and there were only a few, one of which was this great company. What caught my attention at first was their guarantee that the cover will fit the car because they actually go to a car dealer in the area to make sure it will fit on your car model. The safety system they do for the side airbags was also reassuring considering some manufacturers do not take that into consideration, or leave ugly empty spaces in the cover. They seamlessly create Velcroed close openings where needed that you barely notice. When I discovered they had a location here in San Diego, I went straight there. The people who helped me out (Shauna and Nicole) are absolutely wonderful. They know the products inside out, and they truly try to find a way to make it work and also save you money. I was able to get semi custom fit covers instead of full custom for my front seats since my seats were square shaped and they fit great! For the middle seats, since I did not have the budget for additional sheepskin fitted covers, Shauna suggested pet rugs and the craftsmen lead (Jose) and another woman came up with a great idea of sewing two pet rugs together and doing some minor sewing adjustments for a small fee to make it work. That dedication to making it work is phenomenal. I might also add that they are FAST! They were sewing and customizing on the spot and making it work while I waited. If you are looking for cloth seat covers (maybe for the third row you rarely use or for the kids) or just need a couple of those for whatever reason, they have a connection for that as well. The pricing for everything is very good and their dedication to quality work is refreshing. Not to mention, the covers are so soft and comfortable. I am loving them. One last thing I remembered, the colors are perfect. Shauna spent quite a bit of time with me while we coordinated the right sand/brown color to match the seats and interior of the car. When I got to the second row, we came up with a black and brown combo (since the interior of the car has a mix of black and brown finishes) and it looks AWESOME! So, if you need sheepskin seat covers, or sheepskin anything (including shoes/boots which they also sell online and in the showroom), this is the place to go. It always brings me joy to find a business with great quality, great service, and great pricing. I will definitely be going there again for upgrades and when I get a new car. read more

BEWARE Had a sheepskin rug that needed to be cleaned and during one of my travels up Miramar Road, I noticed this place that advertised sheepskin product cleaning. Upon requesting a quote there were several discrepancies between what appeared to be an owner and her employee on pricing. They thumbed through papers and privately discussed numbers between themselves, while I waited. Once I received the price, I made a mental note that when I was back Miramar Road vicinity, I would bring my rug for cleaning. I left my rug and made a 50% deposit for the $57.20 cleaning fee quoted at drop-off and was told it would be ready the Wednesday after the following Wednesday as that was the day those items were picked up. A few days later, I started to receive phone calls indicating that they had severely underquoted me and they would have to add $17.16 to the overall fee and that was a deep discount going to be a deep discount, but they could not honor the quoted price. I was requested to return the phone call and I honestly didn't want to spend more time over the phone discussing something that was quickly becoming an unpleasant experience. I figured I would go over the additional charges they were asking for when I came for pick-up. I received a couple more calls and stayed firm on my decision to wait until I was there in person. Now, in my experience of how I have personally handled customer service issues where I or an employee of mine made a mistake that is in the customer's favor, well, you simply eat the mistake and hopefully learn from it. Seriously, to call a new customer and ask for more money that you quoted is simply FOUL BUSINESS. Upon pick-up of the item, I was treated like I should kiss their toes for giving me such a great deal. However, when I saw the rug, I could see it was cleaned (they ship out for that), but it was not brushed out nicely. They have a rug similar to mine in their store and I specifically asked if it would be as soft and well manicured after washing and they assured me it would. When I inquired, with the woman I assume to be the owner, why it was not brushed and soft, she again indicated that I had received a deal and that they did the best they could with the price I was paying. (Now mind you, I am now paying $74.36 for a 4 piece sheep-skin rug to be cleaned.) She, furthermore, advised me that I could take a dog grooming brush and work on it in the evenings while I watched TV until I attained the softness I was looking for. I asked her if I could leave it again for brushing and she indicated that her workers make $75/hour and it would probably be outside my budget. Well, it does not fall outside my budget as I live in a $3M home and could buy out her business several times over. I don't intend on brushing out a rug while I watch TV in the evening. What I do expect is for the appropriate and promised service to be render for the price quoted. So, YES, if you are reading this owner lady, I have given you a very low rating because others should know your unpleasant business practices. This my friends is the beauty of Yelp! read more

Absolutely positively one of the best experiences I've had in retail. I went in not knowing what services are offered at Super Lamb. I was under the impression it was like a fabric store but for sheepskin, to where I could buy a foot or two and be on my way. Boy was I wrong! I found something 100% better. I was looking to construct a soft padding for my daughters armrest and foot plates on her wheelchair. She has involuntary movements which caused her to constantly hit her arm and foot on the metal, causing bruising. Needless to say as soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a huge smile and asked how I could be helped. Turns out I was interacting with the owner himself. He was extremely friendly, and very eager to take on the job. He took pictures and measurements of my daughters chair and assured me of how wonderful everything would come out. Because of the tedious sewing and odd dimensions of the wheel chair, I figured my order would not be ready right away. Well to my surprise I was called the next day to let me know my order was ready to be picked up!!! I was asked to bring in my daughter's wheelchair because they wanted to make sure everything was perfect. They made sure my daughters arm and feet were nice and comfortable and that there was no pressure points. They did a such a marvelous job, and because of that, I left my daughters headrest to be done also. The headrest was ready the next day and was absolutely perfect! The sewing was pristine and flawless! It definitely looked like it came from the actual wheelchair manufacture. This place is amazing and does amazing work and has amazing people working there. Tedious work that should take days, only took them a day, and the fact that they took the extra time to make sure everything was perfect upon installation just blew me away. These are some of the sweetest most humble people I have met, they genuinely care for their customers, and that in itself is very hard to find. We were in San Diego for a few days and stopped by Superlamb. We'd first bought sheepskin seatcovers from them in the early 90s and loved the product. Nice to see they are still in the same location. I would send someone looking for seat covers no where else! Lindsey (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) is pure sheepskin seatcover awesomeness guru and my front seats wouldn't know what to do without him! When I got my car detailed, I found out from the detailer that my leather seats had been dyed (horror!!) and there was nothing I could do to keep them from turning dark regularly other than either keep getting them treated regularly (a pain) or buy seatcovers (ew, usually so ugly). Welp, since I grew up with fuzzy seatcovers (officially known as sheepskin) I knew this was what I needed to get for the front seats. To add to the list of horrible news about my new car that I just paid a fortune (to me) for, I find out that my new Subaru had side airbags in the side of the actual seats. I bought my first set of seat covers from Superlamb 12 years ago when I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It was time to replace my seat covers and of course I wanted to go back to Superlamb for another set. After 12 years its nice to know they're still there on Miramar Road. I bought two seat covers about two years for my new car and because I have nerve sensitivity in the back of one of my legs I asked if they could make a custom foam pad to place under the driver seat to reduce pressure on the back of my. They did it without question. So two years later the covers are fine however the foam was losing it's cushion properties so I visited them to see how much it would cost to make a new pad to replace the aging pad. They immediately came out took the old pad, made a new exact replica and installed it ALL FOR NO CHARGE!!! They were friendly, courteous and did quality work. These folks ROCK. read more
