Stopped in today when we were driving by and happened to see it and WOW their selection of thread and fabric was amazing. The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. Ended up purchasing the dog quilt they had on display because the kits were sold out. I'm in love with the quilt and the way they finished it. If I lived in town instead of just visiting the area my bank account would be in real trouble. Definitely worth a trip to their store if you sew or quilt. read more

I traveled to St George with anticipation of visiting Superior Threads only to find out that they are only on line now and no longer in St George. The folks that had their fabric lines moved into their spot and don't open until 10 AM. I was there at 9 am. So I moved on to Scrap Apple Quilts which was across the highway. read more

I visited on 14 Aug 21. The fabric in the store was gorgeous. Excellent variety. But did not feel welcomed. The shop was empty and the shop keeper did not seem busy. She never said hello. We were never greeted, etc. Didn't stay long. Probably won't be back except the fabric was so nice. :-) read more

This is a wonderful quilting, fabric and tread store. Very friendly people work here. There is some confusion on the name because it has so much to offer. An other name connected to the building is Mother Superior's Fab Fabrics. We highly recommend this great shop! read more

I have been using the cotton thread for about a year and a half. It's strong, good colors and not too linty compared to most cotton long arm threads. I used the King Tut. At Quilt Festival this year, Bob of Superior Threads told me to try Fantastico. I'm so glad I did! My Innova didn't even need much adjusting at all, about a half turn looser on the top tension. I changed out from King Tut to Fantastico for both top and Bottom. Oh I like having a clean bobbin. It's almost pretty much lint free and sewed out beautiful! I normally get my order from their location in Utah to my location Texas in less than 5 days. Also the informational section on their website has saved me several times. The thread tension and needle vs thread choice are great. read more

I love this store! The owners and employees are the friendliest people. Their customer service is above & beyond. Their quest to educate is what drew me in originally. The thread selection is vast and varied and their quality is, well, superior! I've used their products for over 4 years and have used no other thread brand since. They have a sister store upstairs - Fab Fabrics filled with over 11,000 bolts of fabric, notions, patterns and more of those friendly employees. I have attended 4 sewing events with Superior Threads, including serger, embroidery and threadology classes. I learned so much and had so much fun. The events planners make sure you are comfortable and well-taken care of. The staff attends to your every need (within reason). . Love their fabric & their threads. I'm a serious quit maker and teacher. Was out for a long time due to illness. They are professional and have a huge assortment of quality fabrics. I noticed some comments about their prices. Let me say this: your work is as good as your tools. If you purchase cheap fabrics and threads, it will show in the final piece of your work. Also, take a class on thread, you may be surprised. You get what you pay for. read more

I think they're over-priced and take way too long to ship - using the cheapest and crappiest shipping service possible. And they only refund you on the product, not the shipping charges that the customer pays. It's a RIP-OFF! It's BAD BUSINESS! Update on this review. A few hours after writing this review, all of a sudden, the shipping service seemed to be upgraded.... I had ordered this thread 5/2/14, and had found out I wasn't going to receive this order until May 16th and I thought that was outrageous. Now, all of a sudden since I wrote this complaint, they must have upgraded the shipping because I just received it 5/9/14. I guess they were saving their own butts. Anyway, the thread is expensive because the spools are HUGE! They don't seem to offer smaller spools and if I hadn't complained, it would have taken 2 weeks to receive my order. There are other companies out there that are cheaper. read more

I have had several friends recommend the thread, but thought it was too expensive. It's worth every single penny that it costs. I've had less expensive thread with lots of problems. It's totally worth paying for what I get. I hate threading needles, and using the superior brand of both thread and needles I don't have to any where near as often. The selection is awesome. Fab fabrics, upstairs is equally wonderful in selections. The employees seem to enjoy helping customers, rather than feeling like I was putting them out. I'd do business with them again, and again as well as taking more classes like the Serger Seminar I just attended. I came all the way to Utah from Washington state, and I'd do it again. read more

I have found King Tut thread to be exceptional. All their threads are great but I like a thicker thread so my quilting can be quite visible. I recently needed a variegated very pale King Tut and the staff helped me find exactly what I wanted. It arrived quickly. Also I got two 'try me' spools I don't know how they did it but the two colors(variegated pink and variegated teal) match my next quilt. Been using this tread for many years. I have quilted entire quilts with no thread breakage. Great read more

Superior Threads is such a great company and goes the extra mile to have the very best quality threads in the USA. Their service cannot be beat and they have many specials each month which save me a lot of money. I have watched them grow from sending out orders from their garage to a large company. Superior Threads has so many wonderful threads for ALL of my machines and SO MANY DELICIOUS colors of fabrics to choose from!!!!!!!!!! I can definitely do my shopping from home and save time, money and gas!!! And did I not mention get the newest designer quilting fabrics, luscious batiks, need I go on...... but I will.
