We worked with the dogs on the first visit, both at home, walking around the neighborhood, and at unfamiliar locations so we encountered another dog. The first day of training made an IMMEDIATE, huge difference; we were shocked and thrilled. The black lab was incorporated into the training too. She talked plainly with us and was realistic about interventions we would and would not be able to make for the dogs. Here was our experience: * Bruce seemed very kind and like he was skilled but I think he either just had too much going on in his personal life to take a board and train at that time OR took more dogs in for training than he said he would. It was supposed to be one on one board and training * We did not receive regular updates or photos as promised. The communication was very limited and concerning * It took significantly longer to get our dog back than the scheduled amount of time. * Our dog had a medical issue during the stay and we were not informed * When we got our dog back they were emaciated, Bruce stated this was normal because he doesn't feed dogs during training, and only feeds them when he is actively training. However it was alarming and you could see their bones * Our dog came back with bite wounds from another dog and was very different personality wise. It was as if they had PTSD. Overall, Bruce was always kind but we had an awful experience and it was troubling as a pet owner. I cannot recommend the services. I hope others and their fur babies had a better experience than ours.
