My shower was leaking at the shower head and needed a simple washer for bathroom sink. He took about an hour for what he did. Then he lied to me about he said he was done and told me the water would stop leaking in about an hour. He presented me a bill for $690.00 and I was aghast, I at no time was paid it with my Visa card was there an estimate of cost. Which I would have found an alternative plumber. He just started on the job. I should have my pants down as if I was getting screwing by Garden City Plumbing. One star for service requested. One star for quality. Minus 5 stars for value.

Today my disappointment in humanity increased tenfold. I had…read morea clogged kitchen sink, so I called RIGHT NOW PLUMBING AND HEATING. They're literally only two and a half blocks from my house. They charged a $50 trip fee, which I completely understood. The technician looked under my sink for about five minutes and told me it needed to be snaked. I said, "Okay, what would that cost?" His answer? $737, plus another $139 for an additional charge. I actually laughed because I thought he was joking. I asked, "Are you serious?" He said, "Absolutely." I asked, "People actually pay that?" His response: "Every single day." EVERY SINGLE DAY THEY DO THIS TO PEOPLE!?!? Old people on SS? Disabled? Hard working young kids? Hard working families??? How have we become a society that treats each other like this? Aren't we supposed to help one another? You can't convince me it costs $737 to run a snake down a clogged kitchen drain. To make matters worse, they emptied everything from under my sink, left it all scattered across my kitchen floor, and walked out. I have never been so disappointed. My dad was a mechanic. In the winter, he would lie on frozen ground under people's cars. In the summer, he'd work for hours in the blazing heat. Sometimes people paid him with cash. Sometimes it was chickens, casseroles, tools, or whatever they had. He believed in helping people first and charging them fairly--if he charged them at all. That's the kind of integrity I was raised with. It saddens me to see companies proudly advertise themselves as "family-owned" while charging prices that many families simply can't afford. Shame on you, Right Now Plumbing & Heating. I believe character is revealed by how we treat people, especially when they're in need. I HOPE THEY KNOW THAT GOD IS WATCHING AND SO IS MY DAD!!!
