I have a 600-foot driveway that was badly cracked when I bought the house, and the rain in the last…read morecouple of years didn't help. I considered having a new layer of asphalt added, but it was far cheaper to fill the cracks myself and have the driveway seal coated. I filled the cracks using the Latex-ite asphalt crack filler available through Home Depot. My problems started when I tried to find a sealcoating service in the area. Several did not return my calls and one who did told me he was in Dallas and would call me when he got back, but never called. Then I found Daniel, the owner of Southern Style Striping who responded immediately, came out and gave me a free and very reasonable estimate for two coats, answered all my questions, scheduled the sealcoating for a time when we were away for a few days, and did a wonderful job. I have cement blocks and pavers along about 200 feet of the driveway and had been told I'd have to cover them up by the other seal coating service. Daniel said that it wasn't necessary. He could work around the problem and he did, with a beautiful sharp line along the pavers and not a drop of the sealant spilled on them. My driveway was really rough in places, especially on a 200-foot downhill segment through a forest, but Daniel made it all look good. It's a pleasure to work with someone who knows his stuff and delivers on his promises.

They identified the hail damage, and contacted and coordinated with my insurance company. I was able to watch the installation from start to finish. The quality of the workmanship and materials was first class. When Hurricane Helene swept through recently with high winds and 12" of rain, we got one small leak....and I'm planning on contacting Caroline to address that. I'm waiting to see if it still leaks under normal conditions, but it has not rained a drop in several weeks since the hurricane. I recently contacted Caroline again to put gutters on our house. She arranged to do the work when I could be home on the weekend, and they completed the work in the same quality manner as the roof. She is always there on the job, and oversees the work personally. And I might add that she has really nice people working for her. Hard working and courteous.

She came to my house with someone who inspected the roof, found hail damage and my husband discussed the repairs we were interested in. When they figured out we did not want an entirely new roof or couldn't interest us in working with an insurance company, they left promising an estimate for the repair and then we never heard from them again. (It's been over a month.) I don't think this is a very professional model for doing business this way, but there seems to be a trend of business owners not having the courage to have an open, honest conversation about what they cannot/do not wish to provide. It wastes the customer's time and the business's integrity and breeds distrust and frustration with the entire industry.

Robin and his team at Deyv's Construction are the real deal! They've been a huge help with several…read morehome projects. I met Robin as a referral from my roofing contractor. I had a leak in my master bathroom and Robin was able to go into the drywall and investigate the source of the leak as a dryer vent running from the next room to the home exterior. The vent was angled from the builder so that rain could slowly leak in, causing the vent to sag and collect water. He replaced and re-routed the dryer vent, repaired the damaged drywall, and matched the paint to make everything look brand new. He did such an amazing job that when my builder-installed master closet fell down a few weeks later, I was confident calling him to build a new closet for me. My wife described the closet she wanted and Robin had ideas to improve on that vision too, like installing additional recessed lighting. Again, he performed the job perfectly. While he was here I asked him to remodel our laundry room to look like a post my wife found on Pinterest - and he did the laundry room in a single day to help me surprise my wife! Most recently, I entrusted Robin and his crew with painting the entire interior of my home -- both the first and second stories including a tall 2-story foyer. Their attention to detail and professionalism were amazing again. Robin's quote covered the walls, ceilings, doors, and tons of trim. The result has completely transformed my home. Robin has demonstrated professionalism, skill, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in every project. If you're looking for a contractor you can trust to get the job done right at a great value, look no further than Robin and his team.

The crew arrived over an hour late at 10:40 AM. By 1:00 PM, they had only covered about 50% of the area before leaving for lunch. They did not return until 4:30 PM, claiming they were trying to locate and purchase more vapor barrier. When they finally returned, I realized the new material was only 12-mil. When confronted, they admitted that the material they had already installed before lunch was also only 12-mil. I explicitly requested and paid a premium for 20-mil material and installation. I fired them on the spot for using cheaper, incorrect materials. It then took a week of back-and-forth communication with an office representative just to secure my refund. To finally get my deposit back, they forced me to sign a waiver promising not to pursue them legally. The entire process, from the initial quote by one female representative to the frustrating refund process with another, was highly unprofessional. Avoid this business.
