Great pizza and sub in the middle of nowhere! We stopped by for late lunch and were so impressed. The location is super convenient, but the food and hospitality steal the show. The veggie pizza was amazing, flavorful and fresh.....and they nailed my order for customized, extra-crispy nachos. To top it all off, our server was super sweet. Highly recommend stopping in! Good for vegetarians, right off the street. read more

We had high hopes for this place and found it to be pretty underwhelming. We tried to garlic knots with marinara and they are probably the best item we tried. They were garlicky-y, soft and the marinara sauce was tasty. My son had the chicken sub and was disappointed that it was cold. My husband and I had the cauliflower crust cheese pizza as he is gluten free. It was fine-kinda dry and two of the pieces literally had no cheese on them. I doubt we will be back. read more

Superior Pizza and Subs - No cheese on a good part of the cheese pizza. - Pizza Near Me - Brimley, Michigan

Second time going to this restaurant. Firstly, I was taken back by the attitude of the female sitting at the counter. When I walked in, I got the feeling like she wanted to fight me. It was really odd. Beyond that, the pizza was very expensive and mostly dough. Very little cheese. The inside of the restaurant was fine. I will not return and just get the pizza at the casino. read more

This place rocks! The pepperoni pizza was amazing, so crisp and all, crust lite and very tasty! There are tables inside in a pedestrian indoor dining experience but no problem. It's like rustic dining! Staff was helpful, and prices reasonable. read more

Great food, and great service! Great spot for locals and tourists. Love the pizza, subs, toasties, and ice cream! There's also some cool souvenir items you can get, too. Limited seating - better for take out if you have a large group. read more

Food is ok, not bad not great. But the service is what will keep me from EVER going back! Second time in 2 years and the service is still absolutely the worst! While waiting for my food another customer was trying to order and the gal taking the order was just so nasty and rude that the customer finally told her "look I don't need your attitude, I can cancel my order and go down the road " why the customer continued I'm not sure. If it wasn't for the service I would go back. But until she's gone, the food just isn't that good. read more

Pizza was very fresh and very fast and priced right! Service was Quick friendly and is highly recommended

Three pizzas were all outstanding. Great to have a place in Brimley that has good quality pies.

This experience was delightful from start to finish! We had heard of this place prior to moving to the area and liked the pictures we saw online. After the owner and his family reached out to personally welcome us to the area, we made it a priority to stop in. Meeting Jorja, who works behind the counter, she was delightful as she hustled and got customers out the door with ease. She sold us some ice cream scoops to go while we waited a brief moment to finish our pizza as we were early. The parking outside seemed decent, even when busy on a Saturday night at 7. A good, family friendly vibe inside and out as people gathered to enjoy both ice cream and dinner at this local place. We got a 12" pepperoni pizza with pineapple on one half, and green peppers and bacon on the other. I'm addition, we also ordered a half order of Buffalo boneless wings. The wings traveled decently, and were good and had a moderate amount of spice. The pizza was much better than anything we had back in Tampa, and we finished the whole thing in one go. Everything stayed hot, there was abundant toppings, and I honestly just felt like I couldn't stop eating. He enjoyed his Moose Tracks ice cream, and I liked the blueberry waffle cone ice cream that I got. It was a lighter blueberry flavor but the chocolate covered waffle cone pieces really popped at me. We'll definitely be back and look forward to our next visit in! read more

Service: terrible. Refusal to even consider carrying the ice cream I love: Blue Moon. No willingness to talk about it. No offered taste of, say, Superman or Bubble Gum, which might taste similarly. I was definitely not fond of the pizzas. I like a crisp crust; theirs was soggy. I wave when I drive by! read more

Just what we needed after the long drive from Indiana. This surprising hole in the wall had amazing eats!

Some of the best we've had! Husband and I are from the Detroit area and love Buddy's Detroit style and PizzaPapalis pies. We also have friends in Chicago and enjoy many of their Chicago style pizzas. However, Superior Pizza and Sub is a gem among the rough! We stayed at Brimley State Park campground for a week and didn't feel like cooking one night. We ordered pizza and mozz bread to go, and what pleasant surprised it all was!! They do get busy and so could be a wait but totally worth it!!!! Bonus: Ice cream is also very good! read more

Shout out to Superior Pizza! We placed our large order within 1 hour of closing and they were amazing. Pizza was outstanding! Would definitely recommend!!! read more

Great pizza, Me and my cousin got the Chicken Ranch pizza only. Service was usual at a pizza place nothing to special nothing to bad. Atmosphere was good we waited in our car for the pizza so we wouldn't really know. Overall a great place to go and very convenient. Would recommend! read more

Ok, so to be fair, the pizza is probably a 7.5 or 8 but still the best pizza I've had in the Upper Peninsula in the past 12 years. On a Friday they are HOPPING, we were warned before ordering that it would be a 50 minute wait and it was all 50 minutes for our pizza. What puts my rating to a 5 out of 5 was the staff. Rude customers coming in and on the phone was met with a warm friendly response and the kitchen staff never stopped moving. Worth the wait and anything over a 7 is worth ordering again in my book. read more

Great pizza - even has a cauliflower crust option! Great salads and subs. Can't go wrong with hand-dipped ice cream either.

Great food, quick and friendly service! The Superior Sub is the best in town. Also, the garlic knots are AMAZING!!

In our recent trip to the cabin we visited this establishment three times-twice for pizza and once for ice cream. We had great service and thoroughly enjoyed the pizza topped with sausage, banana peppers and black olives. We shared a fresh and varied antipasto salad. The second pizza was ready when we stopped by. The third stop was for coconut explosion ice cream cones, which were supper yummy. The three cabineras highly recommend this pizza shop! read more

Superior pizza became one of my favorites. There are a lot of items on the menu. Their pizza was really good

Pizza and breadsticks have the good homemade non chain taste and flavor. Right across from Brimley state park which is awesome. I will be back for the ranch though! If you are a ranch lover like myself and fiancée you should stop just for that dipping sauce! read more

Superior pizza and subs really does it right. They have so many choices and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Staff are always friendly. Do yourself a favor and try this place out! read more

Just had the Nachos for the first time and wow they are the bees knees! Lol. 10/10 on the Nachos for sure.

Finally tried their pizza but it was very dark brown with charred spots with an icky burned taste that lingers. I sent them a message and pictures. It wasn't a mean message and I didn't demand a refund but I was told all their pizzas are cooked for a "preset time" and that it must have been cooked "more than I prefer." No, I know what burned and overcooked looks like and tastes likes. Even if they just said sorry, I wouldn't have written a bad review. Also, they swing a thing around asking if you want to tip 15-20% (on carry out and even before I got it??) The ice cream is good. read more

Best pizza I ever ate. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Don't go there to use your Superior Subs gift certificate unless you plan to use the total amount! They will keep any amount you don't use! . My friends and I choose not to get food there. The pizza is mediocre. Their practice is highway robbery. read more

Their pizza is gross. It has a weird kind of sauce. It's really annoying that they don't deliver during summer. But their garlic knots are okay I guess. read more

Small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant with great pizza. The staff is friendly and the whole vibe is one of a mom and pop shop. We really enjoyed the Our choice of Superior pizza from the menu, great toppings and crust. Would come here again. read more

Best Pizza, Pasta, Wings, and Toasties! (Just some of my favs!) Great customer service, decently priced. But worth every penny!

We are renting a cabin in the area and wanted some pizza, so we ordered from this place basically because it was the only pizza place around up here in the middle of nowhere. We got a pepperoni and a "Superior" (which has all meats, green pepper, onion, mushrooms), both with the garlic-parmesan crust. The pizzas were pretty much perfect-looking and perfect-smelling, but I'm only giving 4 stars because we weren't super-crazy about the sauce. It was very "tomato-ey" and we prefer a slightly sweeter sauce. The crust and toppings, however, were very good (and we all ate our crusts, which is rare.) They also have subs and calzones, so we may order from here again before we leave. read more

Great place. Nice and clean, friendly staff and the food is consistently good. Highly recommend the superior bread, garlic knots and antipasto salad. Homemade ranch is on point. read more

Best pizza in the surrounding areas. We had the Hawaiian pizza and the Superior bread. Will definitely be back again!

My boyfriend and I stopped in on our way to bay mills casino. We had the mozzarella bread and shared a pizza as well. They had a small dining area with a walk up counter to order your food. While they were cooking our food we chatted with the man at the counter who turned out to be the owner. He was friendly and pleasant to talk to. We got our food and it was great. The homemade ranch and homemade garlic cheese sauce for the bread were fantastic. The mozz bread was very cheesy and good. The toppings on the pizza were fresh tasting including the mushrooms. The prices were competitive with the quality being above most others in the area from what we could tell. We will visit again for sure. read more

Our experiences weren't perfect but it was worth 5-star. I chose the boneless wings with the parmesan garlic. It was a little salty for my taste but I had recently had the same problem with the sauce at Buffa Louis in Bloomington, Indiana, and Buffalo Wild Wings. The chicken meat was a good quality white meat and the sizes were good too. In addition, I ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken Ranch pasta (thus I chose a different sauce on the wings). It is perhaps new on the menu but the chicken tasted great among the cheesy penne pasta. I would return just for the pasta and the wings. Better yet, the pizza we ordered was the star on our table. We built our own on a 12-inch pie with the cheese, bacon, and parmesan garlic crust. Bacon was properly cooked, not overpowering while flavorful. The crust came out airy and puffy inside while the outside remained crunchy. The bottom of the crust was crispy and every bite was a pleasure in my mouth. I like the New York style with the thinner crispy crust but the Superior's pizza was definitely worth the visit. read more

This was a great place to get some of the best pizza we have ever had. We ordered a large big meat pizza with light sauce after reading previous reviews on the sauce. I think this is just a personal preference for less tomato. The taste was amazing! The Parmesan herb crust topped it off. Perfectly cooked and served by the nicest people. This is a definite visit for anyone staying near Brimley with a pizza craving. read more

We tried out this place because it was an easy walk from Brimley State Park where we were camping. What a pleasant surprise. The pizza was phenomenal. Two of us devoured a 16 inch big veggie. Can't believe we ate it all, but we couldn't stop. We both heartily recommend this place. read more

Excellent pizza! Quick and cheap! Owner was nice and so was the lady at front counter. I will defiantly be back.
