25 years of service for my neighbor & I from Superior Awnings so far with 3 mobile home awning & 1 excellent back room addition (no wood & not screens either) making our place a triple wide. Any the elderly neighbors awning had old damage & the wind was getting to it so I call on them thay came right out the next morning & were working on it by that evening. All done great work & price. I contracted with Superior Awning because I had a very unhappy experience with Westerner Products a few years back. I hoped not to repeat that unhappiness. My front awning blew off in a storm. Superior brought out the materials, and it is a good thing that I inspected them first, because everything was badly scratched. The worker admitted to me that the awning slats had been thrown into the back of his truck and they slid around on the rough truck bed. I refused to accept them. Of course, that meant more waiting. The worker later brought out new materials which were fine on the top surface. I never thought to inspect underneath. I only saw this after the awning was attached and I stood under it -- the paint was consistently rubbed off in spots as a pattern, as though the pieces had been stacked together too closely. My old blown-off awning actually looked better! He attached the new awning with heavy-duty braces and fixtures, and I doubt this awning will ever blow off. However, there are a couple of gaps between the slats. I asked him to fix this, and he said he did. But the gaps are still there, and I think it's because the slats are warped. I also had a sealant put on the roof where the side awnings meet the roof, because water was dripping, really pouring, down the home when it rained. Everything was done nicely except over one window where the water continued to drip through the sealant and down the side of the home. Each time it rained, which is rare in Yuma, I called them out to repair it. It still leaks over that window, but my warranty expired and now I just have to cope with it. Because of experiences like this, I think a good handyman is often better than a professional contractor -- if it is something that one worker can do alone. In Yuma, you live and learn. read more

Loved the install, then started noticing leaks in my awning and deck cover. They came one time and made a big mistake of caulking the cool cover with the wrong color of caulking. I called and let them know, so they came once more and made a mess of the caulking. Now I have a big dirty looking cover. Both jobs are leaking and one looks terrible messy. Called again with no response on fixing the problem. I paid good money for a licensed contractor only to get a messing job done on a call back. read more

Buyer beware when dealing with this unethical company. We agreed to a price over the course of several phone conversations and were ready to move ahead with our RV port. When they showed up to do a site survey and the contract, the price went up by more than $2,000! There is nothing unusual about our lot....it is flat and level; in fact, the guy doing the survey commented it would be a very easy install. read more

I have nothing but praise for Richard at Superior Awning. In April of this year I received my new park model from Cavco. I met with Richard at Superior Awning. I am the daughter of a contractor and the Grand Daughter of a very successful contractor. I have dealt with major home remodeling in Big Bear ,California and in San Francisco, California. Both were frought with mis-communication, delays and controversies which required absolute diligence on my part. I must say I had absolutely no problems with Richard and his wonderful staff at Superior Awning. Richard met with me, anticipated my needs, treated me with a great deal of courtesy and respect and adjusted things to meet my needs. The result was a gorgeous porch added on to my park model and a beautiful and extremely well-built shed to match. He responded to every question and alteration that I felt necessary, but I must admit he anticipated my needs in advance. Richard is extremely knowledgeable about the CC and R's of Country Roads where I purchased my lot and their Architectural Committee as well as Yuma City and County building codes. Wow, what a fantastic place. They have been in business for over 30 years and if you ever experience their customer service it is easy to understand how they have been around for so long. When it comes to grills and outdoor kitchens, stay away from the big box stores and shop local. Superior provided a better deal than we could arrange with Home Depot and sad to say Lowe's didn't even carry the same product line for which we were shopping. I will be turning to Superior for all my outdoor building and kitchen needs! read more

I tend to disagree with the first post. If I could give no stars I would. New to the area we made contact with Superior Awning to have a garage built. We signed contract for a $20,000 metal garage in Oct 14 2014 and were told we could expect construction to start in 6 - 8 weeks which would give time for permits to be obtained. (permits were approved on 11/4) The garage was completed on 12/24.. 3 months after the contract was signed. There were certainly issues to say the least. We had two concrete entrace stairs poured at the same time of the foundation being poured for the garage. (The prior week we had our home painted to match the color of the garage.) Concrete was all over our newly painted walls, gaping air holes on the sides of the stairs, clumps of concrete all around the stairs that were left to dry and there was no intent to repair the mess we were expected to live with until we made a phone call. We told them we would have our painter out to touch up the paint. They refused to pay for his work and would send their painter out. After one entrance was painted we sent him on his way. Lets just say an unexperienced painter could have done the same job. Also unaware that an electric garage door opener was included in the contract I purchased one for my guy for Christmas. The door installer at our request installed the on we purchased. Upon notifying the company that we purchased one and had it installed we were informed that there would be no reduction in price due to them ordering an insulated 9 ft door that was not in the contract. They thought we might want it insulated since we had the garage insulated. The 9 ft insulated garage door was in the contract clearly written to be ordered. This has been a nightmare project. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their product is good most of their employees are great but their sales representative and the manner they do business is nothing less than a used car lot. Fair warning BEWARE. read more
