Not going to completely bash this place, but here's my honest opinion. The place wasn't so bad…read morewhen the cost was 5 bucks a haircut. You end up going here and leaving with an uneven cut, but then again you get what you pay for. Not a big deal as I fix it up at home with whatever is noticeable. Xpress Hair Salon is staffed with 4 individuals, two of which seem to be decent whom everyone lines up for and the other 2, not so good. The problem here is that everyone waits for the 2 good stylists which can be an hour to two hour wait time depending on what day you go. If you can't stand the wait, then going to the other 2 individuals, well then you got some touching up to do when you get home. Now here's the problem. They just increased their rate from 5 dollars to 10 dollars a haircut for males (probably because they originally only had 3 people on staff). If you're going to increase the rate from 5 to 10 bucks at least do a decent job at cutting hair. The market is so competitive now that for 10 bucks and or maybe a few extra dollars I could get a haircut at a different location where I don't need to go home and fix. So I guess at this point, it isn't the worst place in the world, but I'll be looking to go somewhere else. I've gotten my haircut here for the past 6 to 7 times and have always had to go home and fix and also get ridiculed from friends and family that nothing lines up, but hey at the 5 dollar rate I didn't necessarily care.

Excellent barber. Eddie is the best. Very talented and friendly. Eddie takes great pride and…read morecare with each haircut. Highly recommend. He cuts all the trendy barber styles at less than half the cost of the upscale places in town...

Don't go here for hair coloring services- their pricing is not transparent, and you will be…read moreovercharged if you have long hair or want anything beyond simple root touch-ups or single color. I was charged almost $500 for a bad haircut and a hair color job I didn't ask for or want, after specifying what I did want. I don't see how that price reflected the "free haircut" at all. I went here after talking on the phone and texting with Denielle about what I wanted, including pics of my current hair color and length. I was told I'd get a "free haircut" with color. I specified I wanted bayalage over my current color, and to blend out my roots, and sent pics of what I wanted. After spending 4 hours in the chair, the color I got was a brown with warm blonde highlights and was okay, but not what I wanted. During the process Denielle made it clear that she's not comfortable doing anything outside the natural color range, and what I wanted (strawberry brunette) was apparently too outside her comfort zone. She teased my hair during the coloring, and I have fine hair, so she spent a lot of time yanking out all the tangles out afterwards, which was painful and avoidable, not to mention DAMAGING to my hair. I've been told by other colorists that teasing hair during color treatment is big no-no. She put in a LOT of blonde highlights which was the opposite of what I was looking for, including in the under layer which was just weird. I had asked for bayalage, not highlights. I've had some great stylists, and I know the difference. I've had vivids and bayalage with multiple colors and have NEVER spent that much on a single hair coloring session. The haircut took over an hour, and when I got home I noticed that one side was noticeably longer than the other, and the "face framing layers" I'd asked for were just a single choppy layer on one side of my face. I had to get the cut fixed at another salon the next day, it was that bad. The worst part, other than being so horrifically over-charged, was having to listen to Denielle trash-talk her boss (the salon owner) and complain the whole time. 4 hours of negativity. Honestly I should've complained before I left but I just wanted to get out of there after being there for 4 hours. See pics below for reference. I took that pic in the salon immediately after I was done- you can see how uneven the haircut is.

This place is so good. I think they just recently opened. Do yourself a favor and go get your hair…read morecut or get a beauty service before the secret's out and they get busy (amazing and super reasonable prices...lowest haircut price in the area for boutique salon service. All of their beauty services seem super reasonable including hair color, threading, waxing, or extensions...I was checking out the service and price list while waiting a minute for my appointment time in their cute white and pink seating area) I'm pretty picky about my hair and pixie cut. Andrea is by far my favorite stylist in a long while. She's super skilled and makes sure to ask questions while cutting and truly wants to ensure I'm cool with the outcome. She's smart, experienced, and super kind and easy to talk to while I'm in the chair. I got an eyebrow threading for the first time in foreverrrr too. I like my thick brows but I thought it could be nice to get them shaped. I am so glad I did. The technician (I wish I remembered her name!) respected that I wanted to keep them full, but the shaping she did made me feel so confident and pretty in the end. She even showed me how to use a little makeup to make them pop a bit. I also love that she didn't use any oils or products after threading. I stopped getting eyebrow services because I always seemed to break out from the "calming" oils that were applied post-shaping. I'm sure you can request it if you want, but I'm glad I got it without. I'm really picky about where I get my hair done, and I'm glad I stumbled upon Lovey Beauty Bar. Go schedule yourself an appointment! If you're picky and looking for a new salon to get your hair cut and/or colored try this place.

I was pleasantly surprised by, and wasn't expecting, how cute and trendy it was inside! I ended up there because my normal threading place closes so early since COVID - boo to them! Immediately I was greeted and felt welcomed and well taken care of! They did a spectacular job on my eyebrows and I feel I'm very picky about them. I'm definitely going back! I didn't realize they are a full salon and offer more services than threading. Although my first time here, I think I found my new threading spot! If they are consistently spectacular, I may even branch out to their other services!
