This is really a place of last resort. I come here whenever I find my regular place to be closed early. There seems to be this really cool chick that works here, and I always hope that I get her -- but I never do. I always hate it when I get there and the place is empty, and they ask me if I have an appointment. Are you serious? Just cut my hair, dammit. And then they ask you your name and write it down! What's the point? I hate all of these corporate policies -- Just grab some scissors and cut my damn hair. To make matters even better, I always feel that the "stylist" is rushing my cut. Lady, this is my dome we're talking about. Take your time. This is one thing in my life that I don't want done at super speed. After the sub-par haircut, the lady leaves all this cut hair on my face. They're more than happy to get rid of it for you if you get the shampoo. Screw the shampoo, I'm not here for a beauty treatment. I always leave her feeling that I was emotionally raped. read more

The staff was very friendly, but it ends right there for me. I came here to save some $ and give them a shot. Well I think I definitely got less than I paid for. Not only was the stylist visibly fearful of my thick hair, but she was so hesitant to give me a 1 inch trim. She snipped less than a centimeter that took like 5 minutes and showed it to me asking if it was okay. I had to gently push her to cut more but she seemed so reluctant which then scared me because she's supposed to specialize in hair... Anyway, to top it off she left my hair wet. I even asked if she could iron it and she gave me a weird look. I had to leave the salon with my damp thick hair frizzing out in the cold at 7pm. Gee that made me feel pretty and revamped. Ugh. What kind of service is this? I'm never coming back here. read more

So I tried to give this location another shot just cause I live a couple blocks away. MISTAKE!!!! I even called to make an appointment and the lady says they don't do that they just put you on the list. So I get there with my son and they take my 2 year old give him a good haircut but then they tell me I have to wait 50 minutes!!! WTF?? I have a 2 year old with me that won't work!! This place is bad for business I highly recommend you to go elsewhere!! Super unprofessional! Went to get mine and my sons hair cut today. It was a little busy and I understand that. But after 20 mins of waiting all the stylist were done with their clients. One when on break which is understandable but the other 3 were standing at the cash register and for about 10 to 15 minutes just talking and taking selfies!! This was my 4th time back and every time has been getting worse. Don't recommend this place if you value your time! read more

I am not a fan of haircuts. If possible my hair would grow to a certain length and stop. So for me getting a hair cut is something I often see as a chore and barbers are so hit or miss that I usually just check out supercuts or some other big name place. I used to frequent the one in Gardena and found a stylist that actually made me enjoy getting my hair cut. She did a great job, talked to me just enough, and wasn't too bad on the eyes either. So I began going to Supercuts regularly and it wasn't amazing, but not horrible. As long as she was there, it was at least pleasant. THen she moved! Sad times...but I found out she came to THIS location, and thus, this location will now have my business. Its a bit smaller but its not too bad. If you call in with your name you will get seen faster. The girls here were way more chill and talkative than other supercuts I've been too. If you can go with Maria, I hear Sarah is good too. IT will be a good experience with them, I can't speak for the others because I've never had them, but this shall be my new place for now. read more

Once again great haircut and tea tree from yadira. Love the hot towel service after the haircut feels refreshing. Its been over 3 years now that I've been getting my haircut from yadira the only stylist who makes sure the haircut is a satisfaction and double checks i can surely tell she loves what she does. If she's happy im happy. read more

Had Yanina for my haircut today. I had just donated my hair and just wanted a simple rounded haircut but told her not pointy at all. Just wanted my uneven hair fixed cause I cut it myself when I donated it. She did exactly what I wanted and was satisfied with the result! I originally had an appointment with someone else but I requested who was available first and Yanina offered to take me. Didn't wait long at all, prolly 5 minutes or so and the place also looks clean! Thank you Yanina :) read more

Summer was really nice. Took a while to get seated but good haircut. Make an appointment on the app

Arrived today, Monday - 09/24/18 at the place at 6 minutes before closing time in the evening but the 2 lady cutters/employees said that they're already closed when the sign at the door still says "OPEN." I'm not sure if it's a good impression of a good customer service. read more

I've been to this supercuts with my boyfriend several times but I never really bothered to complain or write a bad review because I was there to tell the lady what she did wrong and told her to fix it. But this time my boyfriend decided to go by himself. All i can say is that whoever cut my boyfriend's hair is TERRIBLE! The top of his head it like a star... My boyfriend always get a nice clean cut, but this lady, I don't know what's wrong with her (shaky hands, inexperience, bad eye sight) cut it very uneven and lumpy! I can even cut better then her, and I never learned how to cut hair professionally. I mean, all you do is use a shaver and changing the sizes as you work your way up. Cutting his hair doesn't require scissors at all. (I know this because I've cut his hair, and seen him get his hair cut several times) With all this said, I do not recommend anyone going here unless you have a friend going with you. read more

Super excited about my super cut! Yadira did an excellent job. My hair cut turned out exactly how I wanted it. So if you need a great cut with an appointment, this is the place for you. PS. Ask for Yadira, she's great! read more

Had long hair and was sick of it! Went to one Supercuts and the poor girl tried to help me but I think I wasn't communicating effectively. Went back the same day and I still was not happy. Enter Ashley George at the Supercuts on Carson St. in Torrance. I bombard her at 9am on Sunday whining about my hair. She was so gracious and listened to me carefully. Got the haircut I was going for at no additional cost since it was within 7 days. I have been going to Supercuts exclusively for over 20 years. I have never been dissatisfied with the final result. They fix it if you don't like it. Thank you Ashley!! You deserve a raise:) read more

Woo hoo,, this place saved my butt a few times,i had the wacky hair day going, every time ive gone here i get a good cut for cheap. the girls here are friendly and do a good job. I had Liz cutting my hair but shes gone now ;-( , but the other hair stylists are great.. i guess for a man the basic cut is easy, so im not sure how they do with a women full color and cut,, but i bet its good. read more

Absolutely terrible service. The person cutting my hair spent 5 minutes giving me a half-baked haircut while complaining about how tired she was (i hadn't slept in 3 days). Also, she continued to yell at me when I asked to have the sides cut shorter (she barely touched them to begin with). From the time I got in to the time I got out, they were rude, condescending and it seemed their goal was to get this guy's money, and get him out - quality of product and service was not part of the equation. I'm having a friend fix my lopsided BASIC haircut tomorrow. $15 wasted. read more

This supercuts is always busy so it's good to make an appointment. And they are busy for a reason. The hair cuts they give are always great. All the people that work there are great. They all do a great job. The place is very clean. It's always spotless and pristine. They always clean and sanitize the razors, scissors etc. which is nice to know that everything is cleaned before they use it on you. They also give you a free hot towel after your cut, which makes you feel very clean. Parking can be difficult. They have free parking, but it's usually full. read more

They are busy, but boy the cut hair great! Trims, fades, hard parts, under parts, blending etc. Just make sure to make an appointment or app. Thanks ladies! read more

You know that feeling when you get a haircut, and afterwards you can't wait for hair to grow longer so you can fix it. Yeah.. exactly. Very disappointed. The reason I gave it a try is because the website brag about their stylist and how they can work with your face shape and bring the best out of your hair type. Ok, before I go there about the stylist let me start fro the beginning. I walked in the place and I get completely ignored by a bunch of ladies stocking their hair products as if I was suppose to know what to do or what to say. Not even a hi. Then 2 guys walk after me and surprisingly they get noticed and welcomed. They get helped before me. Then when they finally notice me, not that they hadn't see me before, they asked me if I called in, I said "yes" then she says ok and don't say nothing until I say "should I sit down and wait" she says "yes". Customer service:0 When the "stylist " asks me what I want I told her what would she recommend for my head shape and my hair type. She smiles timidly and says "i don't know. What type of haircut would you want?" I said "short oh the bottom keep it longer on top, but what would you recommend in my situation?, she replied "ok I'll do longer on top and shorter on the bottom" that's when I knew she was clueless about style. Later on I learned to my greater disappointment she was clueless about men haircut when she was testing all the sizes of the clips on my hair back and forth, forth and back, going about my hair undesidable. Results: bad bad haircut. I suggested for a quick fix but notice she was clueless on how to fix it. So to avoid a greater damage I just said "ok" and at the end didn't even put hair product or suggested me to buy anything. Again that's what the website is big about. Later at the registered I was going to pay for me and my son, and I had to mention about the 12 and under discount. My sons nine and looks well 9. I hate, hate when one has to ask for discounts. "Yuk" I will never ever come back here. read more

Supercuts - Hair Salons Near Me - Torrance, California

The hair stylist who did my hair was very very nice ! Very friendly and did an amazing job. This was the first time I ever came to this salon and I'm so happy with my experience! Jazmin did an absolute amazing job with my hair and was very friendly. Great customer service. Definitely coming here again ! 10/10 would recommend read more

Took my 10 month old son there after calling and asking, "Do you have anyone that can cut a 10 months old hair?" The response: "Absolutely!" It's a disaster. I'm not picky; I asked for them to allow him to see (hair was in his eyes) and clean it up. I would not go back. It was a boxy cut with no sense of cohesion. It's was chopped at odd spots, and waaay too short in the front (two different lengths too). I'm talking Loyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. Random lengths all over his head. There's a huge chunk missing in the back as well. When I left it was wet, so I figured it was fine as they must know what they're doing because it's a hair salon. Nope, they do not. The woman who cut his hair was quite nice and complimentary, but ultimately, the cut speaks for itself. read more

What a wonderful experience. The stylist was Summer I believe and her customer service was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and was so thorough. I felt comfortable during these crazy times and will definitely be going back for my next hair appointment. read more

I visited this Supercuts on 5/4/17 and requested a short pixie style haircut and root color touch up. Stylist (Anna) used electric clippers which have been used on me before with no problem. After my service, I paid and left. A couple of days later I found out from others that I had two large bald spots on the back of my head. I later spoke with manager who offered to only comp hair cut ($18) although I paid $78 for my services that day and requested a full refund since the stylist never disclosed the damage or apologized. After being referred to the Regis District supervisor, they investigated and concluded that they were not responsible although I did not have bald spots when I first arrived at the salon. They even suggested I see a physician, wow... read more

This is a review for Karen, I believe, the older lady working there. Worst hair cutting experience of my life. I'll keep it short. She complained throughout the entire haircut that she didn't like cutting fades, which whatever I can deal with. What I can't deal with is how she didn't finish her freakin' job at the end. She finished cutting my hair... and that was it. Took the bib off, said "OK..." and that was it. I looked in the mirror and could see cut hairs still on my face. Hairs on my head sticking up at all angles. No blow-dryer, no courtesy wipe of any area of my face, neck, anywhere with a wipe, nothing. No gel, no brush, no comb, nothing. I didn't bother complaining, just paid and got out of there since I was on my way home anyhow. But I've never, ever left a haircut feeling so pissed off before. Its like getting a carwash and they don't dry your car... yeah you did literally exactly what you were supposed to do... but have you ever done this job before? read more

I always needed a haircut and a place to shop. Since it's close to my grocery shopping, I decided to stop by here. I met a couple of stylists. I wanted a fade, so I got one. Now they introduced me to tea tree. It's bomb! I could relax and enjoy after I get my haircut. Thanks Norma! You and the crew are awesome! Now I could get the luxury of a haircut. :) read more

Do not recommend this place!! I called in and made appointment. I got there right on time, waited for 20 min as they were chatting and taking their time!! Once in a while they looked at me and said: we'll be right with you!!! So, what's the point of making appointment and call in?! read more

Always difficult finding a new hair stylist when moving to a new city but I figured I'd give Supercuts a try. I did a walk in appointment and was the only customer in the store. The stylist was very friendly /nice, and took the time to make sure my hair was cut to as close as the specifications I gave her. While I've been told my hair cut looked good, It was a couple of notches below my prior hair stylists in Houston & Dallas. The stylists at Supercuts try hard but a few of them just dont have the technically experience and ability to do some of the men's hair styles. read more

Love Anna... a great stylist and can't beat the price. This Supercuts is always clean and the staff is always professional and nice. If you call ahead there is no wait time as sometimes they do get quite busy. Prices have increased recently but it is still more affordable than formal salons. They do a lot of men's business I noticed. They also carry a full array of products and I have purchased some in the past. They have a great clearance selection of product as well. I recommend this location and particularly, Anna. read more

I've always gone to the Supercuts on PCH by Chuck E Cheeses, so when I came to this one and saw haircuts were $3 cheaper, I was already happier about this location. I explained my haircut and they cut my hair. I didn't have to wait in any lines and I was in and out in 15 min. That is exactly what I want in a barber. I will come here again and if I continue to experience the same thing I will update to 5 stars. read more

Beware! This store has a check-in special on Foursquare but then they won't honor it because they say they know nothing about it. They even have flyers on the front desk advertising it but they still say the manager knows nothing about it..... What a joke..... read more

This review is for summer. Worst experience ever. First time here and last. I asked her i wanted a simple inch cut off all around she took over 2 inches and my right side is uneven. My wife went into this horrible hair salon, asking for highlights, the girl then started to work on my wife's hair, but did not put my wife on the heat dryer seat, she said it was not required, my wife then started feeling like this girl didn't know, what she was doing but remained quite, she then washed her hair and told her we are done? My wife asked her, What about drying my hair so I can see the blond highlights? The girl said that is extra and I am very sorry but my next appointment is here...., however we are done. After paying 50.00 dollars. The Next day there was no highlights.. We called and had to wait 1 week for the manager to appear at her store and after waiting all this time, The Manager then said sorry we cannot fix this and I cannot refund your Money.. I recommend no one to come here as I will never come here again. read more

This review is for Vanessa. She gave my son one of the worst haircuts he's ever had. She angles his bangs because he brushes his hair over. What? Who does that? She asked exactly where does he part his hair, the proceeded to cut it short on one side of the part, and long on the other side of the part. I've never seen that done before - unless it is a specific style request. There are a number of stylists at this Supercuts that are excellent. I think this lady needs to take a few more classes. Her scissoring technique was fine, but ..... read more

Went to see Yadira at Supercuts for the first time the other day. I was recommended by a co worker. After explaining my haircut to Yadira, she talked me through every stage of the cut and then did exactly what she said she would. She understood exactly what I was aiming for and what my hair needed and advised me what hair product to use. The staff seem really friendly, helpful and welcoming. I will definitely be back to see her, she has a lot of experience doing men haircuts and best of all I left with one of the best haircut I've had in years and feeling tons better, thank you Yadira.
