I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it was important to provide honest feedback. The biggest issue was not just the haircut itself--it was the overall customer experience. The staff came across as rushed, short, and not very interested in listening or helping me achieve the haircut I was asking for. It felt like customers were being moved through as quickly as possible instead of receiving professional service. My son's experience was even more concerning. His stylist was also very short with us, and during his haircut she accidentally cut the side of his ear with the clippers. Mistakes can happen, but combined with the lack of communication and customer care, it left us feeling uncomfortable. My concern is less with the individual employees and more with how this location appears to be managed. It seems like the focus is on getting customers in and out rather than providing quality service and a welcoming experience. I hope the owners and management invest more in customer service, staff training, and giving their stylists enough time to actually listen to customers. We wanted to become regular customers, but unfortunately this experience has led us to look elsewhere. read more

I am an unlimited haircut and shampoo subscriber. I usually get my hair cut twice per month. The plans pay for themselves after two cuts and shampoo. They are very friendly at the Supercuts in Torrance on Carson Street. The salon is located near the Ralph's parking lot and next to a boba drink place. The service is consistent, it's clean and I am happy with the cut and services provided. It's easy when you book an appointment a day in advance. Sometimes they are busy and if you don't make an appointment in the morning, they may be fully booked (especially on weekends). I get either gel and pomade in my hair after the cut. Its so nice to go to a business so near your house that gives you the service that you always want. Then there is always this one employee who ruins all of that just because she woke up from the wrong side of the bed. If you dont like to talk to people coz you're having a bad day then dont talk to customers, leave it to somebody else. Depends on your need to have a haircut, Supercuts may or may not be your place. Came here a month ago after a very long time and had my appointment done online. Came on time and met with hairstylist. The lady at the register was kind and understanding, I come from Lynwood every few weeks to take my mom to get her haircut she has health issues and likes to get it done early to avoid crowds, but when I took her today we were told we had to make an appointment even though there was only 1 person in front of us, so unhappy about the changes that were made, I will definitely look elsewhere read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Beyond upset with my hair. I went in with shoulder length hair that I was ready to chop into an edgy bob due to a bad bleaching and fried ends. I showed the stylist a reference photo and asked if she could do it and she said yes. All day my husband has been telling me my hair looked great until I got home and could see it in a better angle. It honestly looks like my 3 year old tried to give me a mullet. When she was "styling" it, she said my hair was straight and that's why it was laying funky. No, straight hair has nothing to do with it. She butchered it, didn't blend anything, and quite frankly ruined my hair. I'll probably have to get it buzzed to fix it. If you're a woman, I don't recommend getting your hair cut at Supercuts at all. read more

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years and now I can't get my haircut because their online scheduler is awful. So much for the days of walking in and waiting your turn. I got turned away with no one there because someone else had a reservation. I sat outside and typed this review and drove away after 10 minutes, no one ever walked in during that time and my cut always take less than 10 minutes. I was looking for a salon I can go to and came here a few times. Some girls don't know how to give a proper blow dry leaving the hair puffy and not smooth. First time didn't offer any solutions to fix it. Then they charge me different pricing every time, up to 20.00 dollars difference and refused to give me list of prices. Then I spoke to the manager and she was more focus on winning her argument and did not offer anything for customer satisfaction. They just don't care they only want to do what they want and don't care about the customers. read more

The only reason i am giving 3 stars is Yadria did an amazing cut and style and I am happy with that. But they need to update their prices because it gets confusing. $23 for just the cut ( i had a simple asymmetrical bob) $8 for shampoo,They have blow dry and style $20 but then another $15 for use of a curling iron. So I decided i want to purchase a can of spray that has a clearance sticker on it (50% off clearance) but i was then told no thats not 50% off thats buy one and get one free. So i thought thats still a great deal the sticker says its $18.79 a can but i get charged $20 . Ya'll need to make your prices clear and as much as i like my haircut i wont ever give this place another go. Been going to Supercuts for the past 5 years... never had an issue until i had my hair cut at this location. I always made the same request . I get that its not always going to be consistent if I see multiple stylist, however this was probably my least favorite visit out of all the different Supercuts I've been to. I get that maybe the stylist misunderstood what I was requesting, but once I mentioned how I didn't like the way my hair stuck out... she refused to acknowledge it and went on about how she's been cutting hair for 8 years. She ended up cutting my hair shorter than I usually get it just to even it out finally. I'll stay away from this location. read more

Please make sure that your stylists know what lice and nits really look like. After having been told by one of the stylists that my daughter has lice, I tried to explain that she actually has dry scalp. She insisted she couldn't cut her hair because of the lice, so I took my daughter to a lice professional for a $25 consultation, and they found her scalp to be very clean, and NO LICE OR NITS WERE FOUND. I was even given a letter of proof. It's good that Supercuts is trying to handle lice properly, but the stylists need to know what they're talking about. The money I would've spent on a haircut was spent on getting confirmation that my daughter has dry scalp and not lice. read more

Came in Sunday for a haircut from Veronica. I had shoulder length curly hair and wanted it cut to basically a pixie cut, nothing new for me, I've come here before to different stylists and got decent results. But this time I left the salon with what I can only assume is the result of her going for a chelsea cut (or maybe just an unwanted, high undercut -_-) before she remembered that's not what I asked for. The district manager contacted me soon after I completed a survey and offered me a free new haircut from Mahalia, the "head stylist." After 4 long days of diminishing confidence, I finally come in for a fixed haircut and...nope. Mahalia kept telling me it was a good haircut and looked cute. She didn't want to touch my hair and barely snipped here and there, which literally left no difference. If I was going to keep this crap haircut and continue to have to hide it in a beanie, I'd have just stayed home instead of gone in to cry at the salon. TLDR: Don't go to Veronica. When I was vacationing in Southern California, I mentioned to my son that I needed a haircut. He recommended his stylist, Yadira, to me. My son likes to use the phone app so he reserved me a time slot. I walked right in to the shop and they had all my info in the computer. I just had to wait a short while for Yadira to finish up her current client. When it was my turn, we spent some time discussing my wavy hair problems and the type of style I wanted. She was very intuitive and cut my hair the way I preferred without me telling her (lots of layers, bangs framing my face, texturizing to thin out my super thick hair). Have to admit disappointed in the service today. Yes, I was five minutes late but most of the time I am early. I was rudely denied a simple haircut because it gave "this hair stylist" a reason to catch up. The funny thing if I showed up on time- "you may experience a wait time". How hypocritical!? The last manager was rude and mgmt corrected her years ago. The current manager seems to have some disease or nervous condition. Sometimes the haircuts weren't right and one is allowed to come in within 7 days to correct it. Last time she got nervous , sarcastic, etc in front of customers and said I always come in to correct my haircut the next day? Very unprofessional, lacked courtesy, charity, etc. Yrs ago I did if it wasn't cut right. These last yrs I don't. I will say some haircutters here are great in the past and present, esp some African American ones! I give them 5 stars but not the last haircutter and 0 for the managers. The last time I was in last yr there was a Latina haircutter who was rude, didn't listen to what I wanted, kept cutting away, etc. I did come in to correct the haircut. I even gave her some chocolates for St Valentine's Day, she was unappreciative, proud. That's when this Caucasian thin Manager got nervous, rude, yelling at me in front of customers that I always return after the 1st haircut. Then she corrected my haircut. I called last yr, left msgs, no one called me back to correct the mgr and haircutter. I left a few msgs this year and even with one haircutter. No one returned any phone call. The girls that work here are all awesome. They are all friendly and make you feel comfortable. They do a great job on the cuts, long or short hair you won't be disappointed with your cut. If you use the Super Cuts app you can setup a appointment so you don't have to wait long when you get there. So far I had my hair cut by Norma, Anna, and Summer and they are all awesome. I called to make an appointment with Summer and since she was busy with a customer I left a message with the person that answered the phone for Summer to call me back. I waited for a return call for 2 days and never got a call back so I called and Summer happened to answer the phone. I asked if she ever got the message and she said that she didn't so I let that go but when she told me to call back the next day I just could not believe I just heard that. We were already talking why couldn't she have just made the appointment with me and no apology at all throughout our conversation.
