We discussed my hair, and what I might like and she suggested some changes. Having left my previous hairdresser after 25 years, I was open to some new suggestions. Marie wanted me to understand what she was using as products, why, and what the benefits of the products were. So she was kind enough to share her knowledge and educate me. We used both some of her new products and some that I had been using. My new hairdo came to fruition. It was actually the hairdo I had been trying to get my previous hairdresser to help me achieve, but it had never happened in the past 2 yrs since I had given her the picture. I am very happy that I found Marie. I also met her daughter, Joann, who was just as sweet as her mom.

I absolutely love the inside of this shop. It has a rustic feel, and is not bougie like others that I've been to. It's more of a Steel Magnolias "truvy type" salon. Everyone is friendly and talkative, and extremely talented.. It's cozy and quaint. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and highly recommend going. My hair is curly but in an erratic way and requires a lot of coaxing to cooperate. I'm mixed and have had a hard time in the past finding stylists that knew how to cut my hair without leading to a total disaster (I once walked out a salon with my hair one inch shorter than the other side, and no I wasn't going for an asymmetrical look). I had finally found someone I loved a few years ago, and then of course I had to move away. I LOVE my hair shorter and took years to find the perfect cut to frame my face. I have had a lot of stylists that were hesitant to cut my hair as short as I was asking for or missed the mark as far as the shape of the cut was concerned. Nicole really listened. She looked at every picture, confirmed what I wanted, and even went back and cut more at my request. She was great from start to finish, had reasonable prices, and I will definitely go back to her in the future when I need a trim. Her styling was great, and she cut my side bangs perfectly, which is rare (I don't think even my last greatly loved stylist was able to do it in a way that it curls towards the back of my hair and blends in the way I like it to). The styling was included with the cut, which was really nice. I will have to see how the cut looks with my natural hair the next time I wash it, but I have no reason to doubt that it'll be just fine.

First things first: if you're looking for current feedback, check out their booking site "Booksy." A lot of the Yelp reviews here are outdated, and some of the barbers mentioned don't even work here anymore. Now onto the good part--THE BARBERS. My husband and both of my sons (ages 5 and 2) have been getting their cuts here since the boys were a. From the moment we walk in, we're greeted with kindness and respect. The shop is clean, professional, and they treat our kids like their own. My 2-year-old is that kid. The one who screams and wiggles the whole time. But never once have they been rough, impatient, or unkind. Instead, they work with us as a team, showing patience and care until the haircut is done. That alone is priceless. Yes, you pay a little more than a bargain cut--but the quality speaks for itself. If you want cheap, go cheap. If you want precision, consistency, and a barber you can trust with your kids, this is it. We recently moved to South Florida and still make the 3-hour trip once a month just to come back here. That should tell you everything. This shop is worth every single penny. They're more than barbers at this point, they're family.
