I saw Cindy. Asked for a 2 inch trim straight in the back. I don't have a lot of hair, so this is a very easy hair cut. It was cut with the back rounded and the front severely uneven. My appointment was at 3:15pm. When I walked in she was just taking someone else in her chair. So I guess my appointment didn't matter. When she was all done with the dudes haircut, she said the other lady would be doing mine, who had just started shampooing a guys hair after his haircut. It was 3:50pm at this point. I let her know my appointment was at 3:15pm. So she took me in her chair. By the time my haircut was don't the other lady had just finished her clients shampoo, so although at the time I am glad I didn't wait for the other lady, now I did since Cindy's really screwed my hair up. Ideally it would have all been the length of the longest part of the rounded back. But now especially since I have to fix it, I will have short hair. Ridiculous! read more

I used the online appointment calendar and was taken by the very first available and I can't complain about that. I really wish I knew the name of the person who cut my hair but I didn't ask but I know she's been there for over 20 years. Perhaps she's the owner. All 5'0 of her! She was super friendly with just the right amount of conversation. I have thick silver gray hair and it often stumps stylists because you cut it too short it'll stick out like a porcupine. The cut came out perfect, and the tea tree oil shampoo and scalp massage with wonderful and sorely needed. Just very nice people doing quality work. This place does not honor the online check-in - and I do believe some of the questions around preferential treatment on basis of skin color are true even if I'll not focus my review on that. I made a check-in for my dad this morning for 11:50 AM. We came in at 11:48. I told the person in the front of the check-in, dropped my dad there and expected a 'short wait' like the app says and like I have experienced in other Supercuts locations. I run an errand and come back half hour later and lo and behold, my dad's still sitting there and telling me they've been letting other people who came in after him go, and at least three people were let ahead of him. The two of us walked out without making a scene. Close to an hour after the online check-in time, someone had the gall to call and ask where we were and that they were ready for us. Have gone here for haircuts for years, Cindy is my stylist and knows what I like and is attentive to any requests I make, shorter in summer, a bit longer in winter. I call in for a time and have, on occasion, waited, once for 20 minutes, but I understand that some cuts, colors, perms may take longer than expected, delaying the next customer a bit, big deal! Better to wait than get a bad haircut! Have NEVER witnessed any preferential treatment for one race or sex or age group, and do not feel I have ever gotten anything any other customer gets. I used the online ordering system to book an Appt for a $23 cut. Shortly after, I received an email confirming my Appt. Because the Appt time was an hr from the time I made it, I ran a couple errands before. I made it back to the salon with 10 mins to spare. After I parked, I checked my email to kill time. I saw another email from the Appt booking system telling me my Appt was cancelled. I called the salon and spoke to one of the two hair stylists to confirm my Appt and they said they don't see my Appt. After explaining what happened they told me there was nothing they could do, that two other people were in line for my time slot. After hanging up and yes, blowing my top, I thought about it a little more. Traced my steps to see if there was something I had done to cause this, I didn't. Would I get my hair done here? Probably not....so why am I reviewing it? Well because its the perfect location for my husband to get his hair cut. We have been coming here for about 2 years to get my husband's hair cut every few weeks. They are always available and the wait is very minimal. The people working here are very friendly and usually take about 30 minutes on my husband's hair which is great since they don't charge very much. My husband always pays a few dollars more for the scalp massage. The nice lady asked my husband yesterday if he wanted highlights and we just laughed (if you know my husband you would laugh). They offer a lot of services and even do brow and lip waxing although I have never personally tried those services. A few women were in there yesterday getting their hair trimmed but I have noticed it's mostly men and young boys getting their hair cut here. We'll continue coming here as long as we live in the area! read more

You really get what you pay for. Haircuts here are cheaper & I think are a greater option for men than it is for women. I do not remember the person who cut my hair but my experience here was just alright. I always get lured into getting cheap haircuts & then afterward regret that I did because the experience just feels very unenjoyable. You don't get your hair washed or shampooed, no styling & the technique in their cuts seem to emphasize timeliness rather than quality. I made an appointment to get my haircut at 4pm yesterday. I decided to give them a try since I was in the area. I got there around 3:50pm. They greeted me and asked me to sit and wait. Within the next 10 mins, 2 more people came. Finally, one of the lady finished the person she was working on and called a white man up. Knowing i had made an appointment and he was a walkin. She looked at her coworker and spoke in Vietnamese saying can someone take me cause she took the white guy since she didnt want him to wait... It went back and forth between her and the 2 coworkers...it was 4:15 by now.. I got annoyed and spoke to them in both English and Vietnamese (shocking them that im Viet) how unprofessional they are. I felt had I been white, I may have actually got my appointment the time I made it for. I find it very unprofessional of people to speak in their native language while having clients that don't understand what they are saying. All in all, id save my money and time and find anther place. Update - 1/8/13 Unfortunately, businesses change. The past 10 times I've gone here, service has lacked. Most importantly, they have stopped allowing the stylists to use the size of razor that I prefer (I use a 1 1/2 on the sides), and only allow a 1 or a 2. Clearly this is to get patrons in more often, but it was a showstopper for me. --- Previous Review --- About 8 years ago, I used to pay $60 to get my hair cut, but since my hair is super simple to cut, I figured I'd give Supercuts a chance. I've been here once a month since then. And I haven't regretted it. After all, the price is low, the wait is short, and you can call ahead. It helps that there are a core four ladies that are always here, and a few have been here for 8+ years. Lastly, they're all pretty cute and very nice. That helps a lot. :) read more

I've been going to this Supercuts for over five years. Having grown up in the South Bay, I've been to most of the Supercuts but I've found this one to be the most consistent. The majority of the stylists have been working there for a few years, so it's easy to find a familiar face. At one time or another almost everyone there has cut my hair, but Tuyen is my favorite. She does a great job, and now I just sit down and let her go to work. If you're going to go, get the Tea Tree Experience! It is the highlight of my week. With the cut, it brings the total to $25, no big deal for how great it feels. read more

I not to picky about my hair; most times I wear a ball cap and keep my hair pretty short, but the hack job I got today is unbelievable. When I was 4 years old and gave myself a haircut I probably did a better job. There are random long patches and short patches along the sides of my head that were obvious once I got home and looked closely in the mirror. I told her the lengths and even told her the number for the shavers that was used last time that I liked. My hair was down to my cheeks, and I wanted my bangs cut a quarter of an inch. I apologize for not remembering names but the lady whose station is right behind the cash register cut my hair and did a great job. I wanted a trim and she cut up exactly how much i wanted, no more no less. She was quick about it and super nice. however, they lost two stars for the woman who cut my boyfriend's hair. Her station was right next to the waiting area and although she was nice, did a terrible job cutting his hair. My boyfriend showed her the picture of the style he wanted and asked for it to be longer in the back. He has some scaring on the back of his head and keeps his hair long to cover it. She seemed to understand what he wanted and was in the beginning doing a great job. However, in the end, the back was cut so short it was practically a buzz cut and his scars were clearly visible. If you're a guy with pretty straightforward hair whether old or young, these people can probably give you a decent cut. I know a couple of guys that go here all the time and they look like normal humans when they emerge. Or if you are a child with perfectly straight hair and you're asking them to cut a straight line across the back, they might do an OK job. However- if you are a female DO NOT do it. You will regret it. I gave these people three chances over a two year period with my perfectly normal straight hair. My hair is absolutely nothing difficult, and all three times they truly butchered it. This last time was the worst. I can honestly say it looks like an angry cat gnawed and chewed at my hair!! No joke. She even blow dried it for THIRTY minutes, and kept adding spray and gel over and over so that when I looked in the mirror it looked OK. As soon as I got in the car and moved my head I saw that she was using the ten pounds of gel and blow dryer to shape my hair, almost like it's play doh, into looking normal. Not only that but she used the shearing scissors and completely, and I mean completely ruined my hair - in fact I cannot even get it fixed because it's so uneven that I have to wait for it to grow for a few months. I came to the salon to get a trim and dye and told her to only cut just 1 inch and she kept pressuring for me to do layers so i asked for a little bit of long layers and she took around an hour for her to do those things and she did my hair horribly and cut my front pieces more than an inch and made more of my hair in the front succh a short length and it turned out looking choppy. i went to the bathroom balling my eyes out and then it was onto the dying my hair part and i asked for highlights and they said they couldn't do my hair that light bc "i had asian hair" so i went to the bathroom again cried some more then went to go pay and they were ignoring me and it took forever to get their attention to pay them. i got a lady with a short bob cut with highlights. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL OR THE PLACE IN GENERAL. the people there are not good business workers and i never want to come back i hate that fucking place it was fucking horrible read more

What I really like in addition to a great cut was the questions she asked to make sure I got exactly the look I needed. Without a word from me she offered to trim my eyebrows plus around the ears.
