And "Lorena" (and some others there as well) will be relocating to the Supercuts on 1604 and Bandera. Noooo!! I just got my hair cut at the SuperCuts at 5114 Broadway in San Antonio, TX. It was a very bad experience. The man who cut my hair began by complaining about other people. I didn't fully understand what he was talking about. He didn't ask me what I wanted. I had planned to get the tea tree treatment, but he talked so much, I didn't have the opportunity even to ask about it, so i didn't get it at all. Also, most of his conversation was just complaining. He started talking about his 4th of July plans, and spent a lot of time saying dismissive and disparaging remarks about his sisters. It was just uncomfortable. He barely asked me what I wanted for my haircut, and he cut the back a bit shorter than I wanted. Also, he pulled my hair a lot, and it was kind of painful. At the end of the cut, he put some kind of coconut oil/gel/mousse in my hair, which made it crunchy. Also, he did this without asking if I wanted it. I HATE the smell of coconut. As soon as I got home, I washed my hair TWICE, and it still smells like coconut. Ewwww. The whole experience was just awful. I was uncomfortable and on edge the entire time, but I didn't want to say anything as we were alone in the salon. I don't know his name--maybe Whit? He is 60 years old, and he just looks grouchy. All in all, this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a hair salon. It was more like being in a barbershop, not a salon. read more

Yeah never again. I have never experienced a haircut like this in my life. From start to finish with a wash was max 13 minutes. I do have longer hair so I wanted to take like 4 inches off. First I have never had my hair cut pretty muchdrr , the stylist literally just brushed my hair straight back, cut straight across like I was getting a bowl cut which took like 4 minutes and gave me a wash. i've never had my haircut where they didn't ask where I part it, how does it go around my face? I figured maybe once washed they would check it, blend it, see if sides equal, put some kind of quality check but nothing. She did have some standing up issues in which I felt bad for her, but I've never had a haircut where the person just sits down behind me. My 13 minute haircut and wash was almost $35, when inquired she said it was because the length of my hair. And to be honest, I would have agreed normally when a true stylist actually checks the work and is adjusting for the sides and actually putting work into it. But a 4 minute bowl cut technique with one pass straight across, I'm not sure if that justified another $10 or what kind of standard that was, there was no blending or checking, nothing. literally, she just took the scissor straight across. That was the extent of my haircut. There was zero pride while giving it. I definitely wasn't treated like someone they wanted as a return customer unless that's the question they give for their services. read more

I had come here a few times prior to my most recent visit and they were great. This time however Karen had a chance with my hair and she ruined it. I've got 3 layers on one side and 2 on the other. The reference photo I showed her looked NOTHING like the final product. Not to mention she would not stop talking, like seriously. I wasn't able to tell her what I wanted exactly because she never gave me an opening. And every time she started telling a story she would stop cutting my hair and just stand there doing nothing. She also decided she wanted to show me a picture of her 50th birthday cake, which took her around 3-5 minutes of scrolling on her phone to find. I never asked to see it. I just wanted my hair cut. She also never blended my hair out and quite literally just chopped my bangs. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I LEFT IN TEARS!!! Angie cannot cut a straight line. I have never walked out on a haircut in my life. I literally left in tears and called my mom back home. She kept having to go shorter because it was uneven so eventually I said I'm going somewhere else and she said she was going to charge me for the straighten. I understand that. However it was $30 for my short/medium length hair. Styling is priced staring at $10! If my hair was any shorter you literally wouldn't even be able to straighten it. She was typing on the computer for two minutes before being able to pay and when it popped up it didn't say styling, it said something weird. So I BET YOU she charged me for the straighten and the cut and named it something else. Please spend the $50 at a decent salon before you have to spend $100 total because you get a f*cked haircut then have to pay to fix it. PLUS I had to ask her to use heat protection. My mom (a licensed professional hairdresser) instilled that in me as a little girl how does a PROFESSIONAL LICENSED hairdresser NOT use it? RIDICULOUS! read more

For starters, I LOVE this Supercuts! I've been coming here for several years and have never left unhappy!! I recently got my hair dyed and my hair definitely took to the the color and it came out WAY too dark. I was SO unhappy with the color. Not anyone's fault, just wrong selection of color done by us. ‍ Well I came in today and Emma was SO helpful and patient when trying to fix my color. She worked so diligently to make sure I left happy but also to keep my hair healthy. It was trial and error, but I'm so happy with how my hair turned out! I had to hug her at the end! Scheduled an appt for a cut & color only to be told they could not do it because they had 3 appts at that time. Why schedule in advance & state what you want if you are going to be denied the service. I could not come back later. Manager & stylist that was going to take me became irate with me when I displayed my frustration and proceeded to confront me in a very ugly way. I did get upset I did say 1 ugly word not directed at anyone. I did not deserve the treatment I received. Another customer even came to my defense asking them to leave me alone. One other stylist offered to take me but I was too upset at that point to stay. I understand now why they can't keep good stylists at that place. Do not go there. Manager was even on the phone in the back room of the salon when the stylist went to get her it took her several minutes to come talk to me and still had the phone in her ear. I could tell she was being inconvenienced to have to talk to me. The stylist even said to me in these words: "I'm not touching your hair." Flat out refusing me service. I'm not one to write reviews, I actually created an account specifically to write how horrible this location is. Hands down worst haircut I have had done. The girl had no idea what she was doing. She attempted to tell me she was done, I had to point out the obvious patches of hair she left. I would've asked her to fix it but I was worried she would leave me nothing to fix if she made it worse. I asked for gel and instead of her styling my hair I had to do it myself because let me quote her, "my fingers are stubby". If you can't apply gel to someone's hair you probably shouldn't be cutting it to begin with. There was another employee kissing her partner which was very unprofessional. I've gone to Supercuts for awhile and this is by far the worst location and experience I've had. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. Avoid if you like your hair! read more

Took my son here twice hoping that the second time will be better but it was actually worst than the first time. My son came in for a fade, not for patches. I felt bad for the girl cutting his hair though so I just played it off and said it's fine. There are hairs sticking out on the sides, patches on the back, and you can see the line all throughout the back and sides. I could've done a better job and I wish I just did it on my own. I did save $20 here compare to a real barber shop though but this experience made me realize that I should just pay the $40 at my sons original barber than have him looking like this... I would add a phot but my son hates it so bad that he doesn't even want me to take a picture at all. The female that cut his hair this time was the girl stationed in the last seat towards the back on this day. The female that cut my sons hair the first time was the one stationed in the first seat. I had a good experience here: all the ladies were nice, and payed close attention to what I had to say. I hadn't gotten a haircut for a while, but each place I went to didn't listen to what I wanted. So in other words I am very protective with my hair and who cuts it. I'm a college student, I needed somewhere cheap but does good quality cuts.
