And asked me questions about what I wanted it to look like throughout the process. I told Vavaa I wanted it to last for a couple of weeks so they went back and double knotted the rubber bands in the beads. We talked through the size I wanted. Etc etc. They were just very open. It was one of my favorite hair braiding experiences. And the hair came out amazing. It's actually week 3 and it still looks on point. You could just tell that Vavaa loves what she does. That's the only place I'll go to for braids from now on!

Not happy at all with this shop, as you can see I'm a REAL reviewer since I'm verified . Most of…read morethese reviews are fake which tells you a lot. I went to get my hair done showed what I wanted numerous times weeks before the appointment , paid a deposit and left with no hairstyle. Apparently, the stylist could not do this style nor did they offer other hairstyles to do. They were only able to wash and steam my hair. No one was able to do hair not even the owner, she had no customer service etiquette and I was very disappointed. If this is how she runs her business no wonder she needs to buy fake reviews. I highly recommend that you stay away, she refused to apologize or refund any money due to her lack of skills and staff lack of skills on doing hair. No one knows how to do rollers! That's insane, how can you run a salon this way?

Most important of all, they've all cut my hair in a way that I was very satisfied. I'll continue going, but if they raise their prices any more, I'll start cutting my own hair! $27 is too much for a man's simple haircut in 10 minutes.

The experience just wasn't worth the money for me. The check-in process was not pleasant. I assume the receptionist was new. I was hoping to get a drink, but no one offered me anything. I know I could have spoken up--but the one doing my hair seemed pretty perturbed to be there helping me in the first place so I chose to stay quiet. I think we caught them at a bad time... I was greeted by a woman who began setting me up, but then left the process to another woman. I was a bit confused, but the process was finished and I was led to the chair by Joann. We talked briefly about what I wanted: fresh, clean, preserving my current style, and a maximum of 1.5 inches off. Afterward she led me to have my hair washed. Throughout the entire process she explained which products she was using and why. I thought it was helpful in case I wanted to try to maintain this current look. Since I wanted all the same length, the cut itself was very quick. She framed my face and added styling products for the blow dry. The end result was fantastic! She met my needs and did a great job with the blow dry. I'm sure since my hair is straight and resistant to curl that this blow out won't last long, but I'm super happy with the result! The price was a bit more expensive than a typical mid range shop, but very worth it for the results! Update: I never knew blow dries were that deceiving! Never had a complimentary blowout with the cut before. I know my hair is fine, but I now have a full crown of baby hairs due to breakage most likely from the roughness and pulling from the process...it's so bad I think I might have to get bangs...it looks so wispy and awkward. Anyway I asked to preserve the same style I had before, after I washed out the blowout I almost cried. The ends are blunt, choppy, and uneven. I asked her to make look neat and have a nice shape...which it already did, just some split ends and you might as well as put my hair in a pony tail + cut and it would have turned out the same way. I'm going to call them tomorrow for a revision and change my review based on that.
