Appointment times are completely worthless and are not kept. Walked out after kept waiting 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment and told "we only have 3 people working". Totally unacceptable when I have other plans to keep. Either provide adequate staffing or do not bother offering appointments. read more

She was very professional, and meticulous about my haircut. She really took her time and I was appreciative of that. The woman who cut my son's hair at the Plainview location was wearing a sparkling Trump pin. Had I seen it before she did the haircut I would have chosen to go elsewhere. This is not acceptable for a business that serves the public to have their employees show their political leanings (and especially one that I find abhorrent and does not align with my values). Went here yesterday for the first time because they are close to my job and I needed a blowout for my long frizzy hair. I saw Gloria, who was not only the nicest, sweetest lady, but she did an amazing job on my hair!! It came out perfect, pin straight and smooth, exactly how I asked. Because a business should try and keep their clients comfortable (especially to keep them coming back), I requested the hairstylist wear a mask. She told me she would not. I walked out, after being a client for years, and will never return. Neither will our family and friends who go there. If you cannot be kind to your patrons, or at least give a reason why you cannot accommodate, then you have lost our business. I could have been given to another hair stylist who would wear a mask. That was never suggested. I know it isn't a law to wear a mask, but it is a smart business decision to accommodate a client who is asking a reasonable request especially in these COVID times. read more

This review is for the Plainview location. The salon itself is clean and arranged to accommodate social distancing. The staff all wore masks consistently. I have paid as little as 15 for a short haircut at a mans barber shop, up to 65 at a salon. I'm very low maintenance but have learned to speak up BEFORE they start cutting and to be specific with length, what NOT to do please, etc. This review is specifically for Nicki at the Plainview. I came in with a picture... she had a chill but polite attitude, listened to my concerns and requests, and delivered. She understands fine/thin hair and recommended reasonably priced products when asked. In my own opinion I got as close to the picture as possible without coloring or highlights! I was SO satisfied. The total cost was cut and blowout (i washed my own hair before coming in.). I absolutely recommend her and the salon. read more

I had a really bad experience at supercuts in plainview. I called and made appt for my 11 yr old child for a junior cut. She washed her hair in thr am. When she arrived the stylist said no I can't cut without a shampoo. Too long - I said I can't hear for the junior cut she said yes just two dollars extra. I said. Ok. Then she called me over and said there are knots so it's more now. (Her hair had some but nothing that can't be brushed out or that is ever an issue). I asked how much is my 20 dollar cut now. She said 38. Almost double. I said I never had this issue never mind and then they asked for 10 dollars (we did not need a wash and they said 2 before that). Then sge said I shouldn't ask for a junior cut she's too old. I said excuse me she's 11 and sign aays 12 and under. I feel I was being subjected to crooks and false advertising I asked for the owners name and that I want to be in contact they said I can't. Hopefully the owner cares enough about his or her business to reapond and reach out. we had to go withtotally soaking well hair and my daughter was upset and uncomfortable witb things the stylist said to her -so not right. We did end up going to another Salam who brushed her hair out in under 10 minutes washed conditionef and blew out for less than they quoted without all that. She got a nice 25 percent tip and our recommendation!!! I really hope the owner reaches out bc customers being treated this way isn't a good thing!!! read more

In the past this Supercuts location was hit or miss. Depending on the stylist and how busy they were your fate was questionable. But for the last few months this location has been ON POINT! Today, 08/13/2019 my stylist Gianna was SUPER awesome, efficient and helpful. She listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions. I was in and out of their location in under 20 minutes with a clean looking haircut. Keep it up! read more

I almost never write reviews to places I go: good or bad. But the fact I am now taking 10 minutes of my time (after the 40 more that was wasted there) should speak to how awful my experience was. I checked in online and arrived five minutes before my scheduled time. After 15 minutes I asked the woman at the desk if my name was on the list. She responded "just because I checked in online doesn't mean I don't have to wait and that I would have to wait behind everyone in the store since it wouldn't be fair to them". I waited another 25 minutes until I had to leave to meet with a client. I understand if you check in or call ahead you can't expect to walk right in but why have the option of checking in online if some rude employee decides she isn't going to honor it? read more

The place false advertises. Always offering the 4 haircuts for $40 card BUT NEVER EVER HAVING ANY. It's one excuse after another for not having them. One time I went there and asked to buy the card while I was waiting for a haircut. They gave me a lame excuse for not having it available without an apology or any other word about it. I sat down to wait for my turn for a haircut another customer comes in and the same girl takes out a waiting list and puts this persons name on the waiting list. Then another customer comes in and same scenario. So not only was I not told/offered the waiting list but now i would be lower than several other people on the waiting list even though I was there asking about it first. Went there because they I needed a trim and my 2 year old daughter needed her first haircut (just a trim). They didn't even try to get my daughter excited for her haircut to take her fear away, my daughter ended up doing so well because I chatted with her and she had a crooked haircut!!!! They assured me they had the skills to do all ages! They can't even do simple hair cuts/trims for straight hair. Never go there or recommend it. Stopped in there for a haircut. Had been there before and Leslie cut my hair and did a nice job. I called and spoke with Leslie. She told me to come in a half hour cause she had a client waiting. I arrived half an hour later, walked in and the "Manager" told me to sign the sheet.. She then sat in the first chair and never bothered to put my name in the computer. So, of course, Leslie took the next two people who walked in cause my name was not put into the computer by the "really busy" manager. So when I complained, the manager got all bent out of shape. Then I got annoyed. Walked out. Checking yelp, I now realize why this Supercuts gets so many bad reviews. When the manager cannot do her job, the customers suffer.
