After talking to my Daughter and her friend I was told about the Bliss Salon in Kalamazoo, so I got on the internet and checked out the reviews. I seen great reviews about Melissa so I decided to schedule an appointment with her. She was Wonderful! She listens to what you want and does an Awesome job giving you what you have requested and she has a great personality so you feel very comfortable having conversations with her! I continue to go back to her and I am even more GREATFUL each time. Not only is she an EXCELLENT hair stylist, she charges affordable rates, and the atmosphere in the salon is great - all of the Ladies there are very friendly. Most recently I was excited to find out they do lash extensions! I cannot speak highly enough of their lash person! She is OCD about cleanliness with work area and supplies and your eyes. She is an expert! And incredibly honest! After looking at my thin and broken eyelashes she said I honestly cannot put extensions on you. She said she could put them in the center of my lashes but the lashes on both ends were much to short for her to add lashes to that would stay on! She said she didn't want to send me out looking foolish with just extensions in the center. She also didn't want to attempt to put them on the ends and have them come right off and worse yet have the extensions break or pull out what lashes I did have! I was so impressed with her honestly and concerned. She went above and beyond by recommending a salon quality eye lash gel that will help my lashes grow and get conditioned! Our hope is that in a few months I will have enough growth to then get extensions. Who in this day and age would have been that honest? She actually had spent almost a half an hour on me and never charged me a penny.

I have dark brown hair (virgin hair) and I asked for a balayage with multidimensional caramel and coffee tones and the first time I came out with two chunks of face framing orange chunks in the front and no visible colour at the back shockingly blond strips of hair underneath that seemed totally out of place and the second time when I went in to get it fixed by the " better hairstylist" I was left with a whole lot more of these orange and blond chunks that are almost up to my root that this time which don't at all blend with my natural hair and create harsh lines. After all this my hair is a wreck to look at, damaged and I was charged $120 dollars for it and have no clue how to fix it. I went in with inspiration pictures and explained the first and second time that I don't like orange or bronze or brassy tones. So when a stylist doesn't know how to do something please don't go ahead and do whatever you please to someone's hair. It okay to say that's not something I can do or have expertise in. The hair cut was fine for straight cut. Finally I would recommend this place for any kind of hair coloring procedures.

Below is the letter I sent to the corprate office. Today, March 10th, 25, I rushed in to purchase the Dermalogica Healthy skin kit for $39.50. When I handed my merchadise to a brunette cashier (Katerine as titled on the receipt) she began to ask for my personal information, i Interrupte her and told her I was in a hurry and just wanted to purchase the merchandise but not sign up for a rewards program. She replied she needed the phone number for the transaction, after I gave her the phone number she asked my name, I replied AGAIN, " I don't want to sign up for the program, I ONLY want to pay for the products." She replied she needed to add my name to my receipt. Next, she asked for my last name, AGAIN I said,"I just want to pay for my merchanside, NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING"! After delaying me by entering the information she said I'll put the receipt in the bag. I took the bag and rushed out to catch my bus. When I arrived home I saw on my receipt I was signed up for the Ulta Beauty Rewards, Member # with my 39 points for the current purchase. I don't mind being in the rewards program but was pressed for time today. My complaint is that Katherine LIED, MANIPULATED, and DECEIVED me multiple times throughout the transaction. Her behavior proves she is immoral and unethical which poses a threat to Ulta Beauty and the employees. Her behavior casts shame on Ulta Beauty's reputation and promotes the "wicked" women in makeup stereotype. Watch your backs, you have a conniving, treacherous female among you!!!

Stylists at Suzanne's Organics fall into the third category, I felt the stylist (Tara) went above and beyond on my mane. First cutting it wet and then going back in to texture and fine tune it after it was dry; this isn't out of the ordinary for someone who cuts well, but the attention to detail and customization of the cut to really make it my own was exceptional. A tweak here, a tweak there, she even made a few nuance adjustments as I was getting out of the chair to really make sure the cut sat right at every angle. It felt really good to have someone put that much time an effort into my look. She's still located in Kalamazoo and I'm on the East Side of the state now, but that hasn't stopped me from making a trip to see her to get my hair done. She's the only person I trust with my hair to do a good job. I can be indecisive sometimes with what I want and it's like she reads my mind. I've truly never had a bad experience going to her. She gets the coloring just right and the cut perfect. We usually cut about 6 inches off each time, add layers and thin it out a bit. I'm always so happy leaving and I get so many compliments on my hair. Not to mention Ashley is always so nice and you can tell she just loves what she does. She uses the latest techniques and she does them well. I highly recommend paying her a visit. You won't regret it!
