When I said I had an appointment they looked at me like I had two heads and then said they were "glad they stayed" The woman who I later learned was the owner told me she is not a loctician she is just a braider who knows what to do with locs, she then proceeded to call my hair dusty "like I was working construction" because of the product build up and said I started my locs with my hair too long. She also said she needed a day when she had "more time" to actually do it. So I wasn't getting my hair done that day. By the end she could not give me a price and said it would be "more than 150" and that she "prefers cash" I'm not sure how I'm supposed to bring cash when you cannot tell me a price. I left without getting my hair done and found a lovely place closer to my home that had fair pricing and kind staff.

After seeing all my hair falling down the drape I even thought "wow do I really have that much hair?" He spins me around and - the butchers strike again. He must've taken more than 2.5 inches off and gave me a high and tight buzz like I'm a sergeant in the military. My head looks like an egg. I'd called a few hair salons prior to Hair Dreams, and none of them provided the kindness and customer service that Melody's salon provided. The receptionist made it her mission to get me in for both appointments and really took a lot of stress off me since I was trying to coordinate from two hours away. My trial appointment went great, and the pricing was more than fair. The day of the wedding, Katelyn did double duty. She styled my hair AND kept me calm by chatting me up as she did so. The fact that everyone is so kind and warm makes it a really enjoyable place to be. Their website says they treat their clients "like family", and that's definitely the vibe here.
