I was assuming the redo would be free of charge or at least discounted, but they got back to me in three weeks saying they only do free redos if it's within a week. I love the vibe and the art at Immortal Beloved RVA. It's always been top-notch until recently. Now, when I've gone in, they have a dog at the shampoo bowl and that's happened a couple of times. I asked them to not schedule me with the dog, since I'm allergic. I thought it was one of the customers therapy dogs at first. Now, I'm starting to think maybe it was one of the owners. That wouldn't be so bad if I was able to continue with the appointment that I scheduled. I tried to reschedule it because my car was in the shop and wasn't ready yet. I called on a Monday thinking that would be fine and just reschedule. Unfortunately, they weren't open on Monday I found out. I was still getting a text saying that I had an appointment Tuesday. So, I was able to borrow my husband's car. So,I called before I drove down there since I wasn't sure whether my appointment was canceled or not to double check since no one had called me back. Then, the front desk girl said that she had canceled it and we rescheduled it with her for another day. So, I said that was fine, even though a lot of my time was wasted. I didn't even get to go pick up my car because we're spending so much time going back-and-forth with the front desk girl about appointments that day. By the time I got off the phone with her, the car dealership was closed. So now I didn't have my haircut or my car. That sucked. Not very good customers service. At least if we could have rescheduled that would be better than nothing. so we rescheduled for May. Unfortunately, a couple days later I got a call saying that my appointment was canceled and to never come back. They said I was a chronic rescheduler and they're canceling appointments with me. I only scheduled about two appointments a year. I don't even remember them ever talking to me about that before. The lady at the front desk insisted that was their policy. I couldn't find that anywhere on the website. I don't know why we couldn't go forward with the appointment after knowing that in the future but they just canceled it completely at that point and they haven't returned any of my calls or texts. Even when I said I could come in using my husband's car at the time. They said it was too late. It's just ridiculous! I planned for all situations. I feel like I did everything I could. It's frustrating because I don't think that everything was given to Jessica. I never talked to her directly. It was only to the front desk. Clearly she wasn't giving them all the information. So, it was just really frustrating. I've been a long time client and to lose that was awful. She was my friend and I didn't even get to say goodbye to her. Then the head of the company never called me back either. So, they just blacklisted me with no recourse and no phone calls or anything. I called back and nobody returned my calls. It's very unprofessional and impersonal!

My hair feels great after the full color treatment unlike the last time at another salon my hair started disintegrate afterwards and broke off like Barbie hair... Now my hair looks very natural and healthy. I'm going back to get some highlights and cut next (I ran out of time at first visit). Find Mayra2000 and decide to give it a try. I walk in a little after 4pm and ask if I can get a wash, deep conditioner, and set. The stylists speak Spanish but they speak English enough that communication is generally fine. I was in and out in an hour and a half. Maybe a little less. I'm tender headed and didn't have to get dramatic (the woman was surprisingly gentle). I was both impressed and relieved about the amount of heat protectant that was used during the process. I asked for curls on the ends and it was curled towards my face while I prefer it to be curled away from my face. I didn't specify before she started so I can't fault her. I wasn't initially sure I liked how tight the curls were done with the flat iron but I'm writing this review 5 days later and the curls continue to loosen beautifully and my hair is still soft, straight, and full of body which is important to me. They charged me $70 which was slightly more than I was expecting based on the service price list BUT the price was within the range that I typically pay for a hair appointment and I didn't specifically ask the price before we started because I was in hair crisis mode .
