I truly love it! The salon is stylish, but that's not why i go there. I go there for getting my hair done right - and believe me - they do it right. I like that they are current on style, but match up the style with the person's personality. That is very important to me because some hairstyles might be nice on the cover, but do nothing for "real life" people like myself who's hair get's put thru the wringer on a daily basis. Like i said before, this was my second visit and i will definitely come back. Not only do i look and feel great, but the prices make it pleasurable. I have had much less done to my hair at other salons and paid a much healtier price. So Jaclyn - i will come see you again and again .....

My grandson served as his first customer when he retired from the Military and was trained by Jinny and got his license, Randy started cutting hair, and I switched over from Jinny to Randy because he needed people to get started on and Jinny was very busy, I was there when Randy had his bad stroke and I had to switch back to Jinny and now Randy is slowly making his way back by removing rollers and men's haircuts. In all those years I have never seen a customer come back to complain about their last appointment. All the customers become regulars once they go there one time. That is not just because Jinny charges way too little but because they give excellent service, very friendly to all customers no matter how badly the customers behave or don't. They quickly make you feel like you are family. They never gossip about anyone or anything which is not true of so many beauty shops. They keep an immaculately clean shop. They are very conveniently located in the Crossings Shopping Center two doors away from My Spa and Nails where I get my nails and toes done, an excellent nail salon and diagonally across from Big Lots which is next to Destination Church and Theater and continuing on that side of the parking lot is Leone's Italian Restaurant, The ABC store, a Chinese restaurant, Kacha Thai Restaurant which is very good, serves 7 different duck dishes which is hard to find anywhere, very reasonably priced and very friendly, Dollar Tree, a couple women's clothing stores, another nail saloon, Napa automotive supplies store, Rite Aid drug store, the on the front of the shopping center is McDonalds, Shoney's, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Then on the backside of the strip where Jinny's is located is Dragon Express fast-food Chinese restaurant, Southside Physicians Network, Hokkaido Japanese Steakhouse who has a great sushi buffet at noon and night with unbelievably low prices, a great dry cleaners, Prince George Cleaners, and too many more small business scattered around the Crossings. You can easily spend a day and night in the Crossings and across Rt. 36 at Food Lion, Kanpai which is one of the best Japanese Steakhouse's anywhere, Waffle house which is open 24/7, Wendy's, Ruby Tuesday, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns Pizza, Denny's which is open 24/7 hrs, Burger King, Dunken Doughnuts, Dairy Queen, Family Dollar, Subway, Chanellos Pizza and many smaller businesses, Laundromat, service stations and more. Strosnider Chevrolet and VA cars of Tricites are easy walking distance so you can drop off your car and have it worked on while you enjoy a day of getting your hair and nails and spa treatment before spending the day going to the movies and shopping, all in one very convenient spot right next to Fort Lee, Jefferson Park Road, Crossings Boulevard and Route 36, near I-295. I Hope this directs you to one of the best-kept secrets in Hopewell/Prince George!

I COMPLETELY disagree with the previous review and actually happened to be in the salon at the same…read moretime getting my hair done as her. Let's begin with a REAL review: The place is NOT filthy and the brushes were sterilized. The atmosphere is modern and CLEAN. I have standards and wouldn't be going to a place that is filthy. If they weren't, how are they in business with a legal license for years? The owner, Josh, did my hair and was a complete professional. Since I have left, just yesterday, I have had nothing but compliments! This is not the first time I have been and will not be the last time. Josh also did my hair for my wedding and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do my hair on my special day. So, to combat what the previous lady stated, Josh said that you have to be careful when buying Groupons for just any random salon and to make sure it's a place that you TRUST. The previous reviewer wanted a "bob" but long/not a bob??? I HEARD Elsa ask her specifically what she was wanting and expecting. I also HEARD the lady AGREE to what Josh and Elsa described. The lady was asked several questions to make sure what she wanted was understood since it wasn't really making any sense as to what she was saying she wanted. When that lady arrived, her hair was a mess consisting of partial highlights (I am assuming that's what they were as I know nothing when it comes to hair). When she left, to me, it was a beautiful chocolate brown styled in flowing locks. Sh seemed happy and didn't say a WORD nor a single complaint. Why wait and leave to complain when she could have said something right then and there and had it fixed? The owner Josh and Elsa were personable and kind and I would have been completely comfortable stating any issues that I would have had. It breaks my heart and disgusts me reading such an unfair and untrue review. Unfortunately, that is what happened, but trust me, this is not the last time I will be going to Angela's Salon.

Turn your back, and go to a proper salon! As the stylist/owner of this salon, himself, said, "I…read morewouldn't use a groupon for my hair needs, I'd go to my stylist, because who knows what you're going to get." Couldn't have said it better himself (which was strange, considering he offers it!). This person, Elsa, who handled my hair couldn't understand the cut that I wanted, albeit with picture and all. I've used a similar photo with my regular stylist, and never had any problem. The coloring seemed amiss too, i.e. she had to be instructed what to put where. If that wasn't bad enough, the place was a bit dirty; brushes and combs weren't sterilized; the stylist kept on pulling at my hair from the back to bring it to my face, to ridiculously ask if that was the right point to cut, rather than use another mirror to show me where she was going to cut, and to actually let me see the length! This place is just unbelievably unprofessional, I wouldnt be surprised if the "5 star" ratings were actually from family or friends of the salon. In short, take the owners advice (ironically!), and bring your business to your trusted stylist. Definitely not worth the saving. Oh and by the way, just to see how "professional" this salon is, the owner loves to give sarcastic responses to any negative review. Will not go back and will definitely not recommend.

First off the lady burned me on numerous occasions and I left with burnt popcorn smelling hair which I know means I have heat damage. Here's the kicker they charged me $62!! I asked why it was so much if all they did was flat ironed it. No washing no conditioning. The other lady (the boss is my guess) in a mix of Spanish and English said it's all the same price , even if I didn't get it washed. She took $5 off but that still wasn't enough for what was done to my hair. My scalp is still burning as I type this. And this burnt smell is terrible. The only reason I'm not totally upset is because I blame myself for not asking how much it would be ahead of time. Just a word of warning to ask the prices of everything BEFORE you get anything done here.
