My elderly friend is on a fixed income and has mobility issues. I called the Supercuts on Ramon Rd. in Cathedral City, CA and asked for the price of a wash and blow dry for her. She was quoted $35 for long hair which was what my friend could afford. The stylist asked if she wanted her bangs cut. Thinking it was part of the haircut my friend said yes. At the cash register she was charged $45 for wash and blowout and $16 extra for the bangs. She was very shocked but too timid to complain. She'd already tipped the stylist $10 before getting out of the chair. I was so angry at these ppl for charging more than what was quoted! They took advantage of an elderly woman. As far as I know the bangs are part of a haircut. I've never had to pay extra. I live locally and will NOT be referring anyone to these Supercut crooks. Shame on them! read more

Super Amazing experience. I'm new to the area and was in need of a trim badly ! Even with me rescheduling and running late, I was treated with so much kindness and patience. I have curly hair and was looking for a trim to bring myself curls back to life, while also keeping its length. I was blessed enough to sit in Juan's chair for my first Supercuts experience. I live in the desert part time and when I first arrived, I asked a coworker where I should get my haircut and she suggested I go to this salon and ask for Nora. I'm not going to lie, I hesitated a little because me going to the barber is my version of a spa day. I find it relaxing and a good barber is great for my self esteem. Plus, I really view going to the barbershop to be something of a cultural experience. It definitely is for me. Well Nora quickly alleviated any of my concerns with her professionalism and welcoming personality. In addition to following my request to a T, she also offered advice for someone who isn't accustomed to dealing with died hair. Full disclosure, if you check out the picture attached to my review, you may notice I'm a blond - it's not natural lol. Speaking of died hair, she died her own and did an amazing job. You can tell that color is her specialty. In addition to being a stylist, I believe she's also the manager of this salon and you can tell she runs a proper operation. They don't take appointments here but you can call ahead of time you can be placed on a waitlist and if you show up before they open, you're more likely to avoid an extended wait time. I went to this location before and they did a fabulous job, therefore, I returned to get a base color with dramatic platinum hi lights. After being there from 3-5:30 I was excited to see the outcome, I was so disappointed my base color was basically cranberry red and the hi lights barely visible with the naked eye, even in direct sunlight. I fully explained what I wanted, even with photos of how it looked at the previous appointment. She said "I get what you want" I told her I was not happy after being charged $190 and her response was "you can come back tomorrow and I'll add more hi lights" I thought that was a decent reply to make the customer happy, to which she she added "it'll only be an additional $60!" Wtf??? Do not go here for color!!! You're better off going to a high priced salon downtown and get it done right for $240! I stopped by today after work, & It was a very unusual visit this time around. I walked in at approximately 7:25PM, one of the stylists (Michelle) came over & asked me what I needed. She checked me in for my hair cut & told me that it was going to be about 15 to 20 minutes before they got to me. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my turn, only to be skipped... A young lady walked in & one of the hairstylists immediately takes her back & starts cutting away. She must have been a good friend of the guy cutting her hair, because they were chatting away about their personal lives. Which I have no problem with, but it just didn't feel right. I'm not sure how they run their business, but at least keep your customers aware of what's going on & why they are being skipped. I have no problem waiting, but I felt really bad so I ended up walking out at about 8:00PM (closing time fyi) WITHOUT a haircut. I hope they enjoyed getting off on time. I have been a Supercuts customer for the past two years, so this experience is definitely not going to ruin that. It was probably just one of those Monday's. I'll try back tomorrow. read more

Somewhere along the line I got it into my head that I needed to go to some fancy-schmancy salon because "I'm special" with my curly hair. I started to get really envious that my husband could pop in somewhere and get a fine haircut for $20. Finally at the end of my rope, I decided to hit up this supercuts and accept my fate. I signed up for their emails online and got a $2 coupon. I walked in and, luck of the draw, ended up with John. Yay! He did awesome. I showed him the picture I liked and got just the best haircut for me. On a Tuesday afternoon I was in and out in under 30 minutes! I'll definitely be back to see John. About nine years ago, I walked into Supercuts for the first time and met a young woman with a multitude of tattoos and a great personality. Really nice, I think she cut my hair 2-3 times in all and then I lost track of her. Enter "JP". I sat down and he meticulously gave me a 30 minute haircut. A perfect combination of electric razor and scissor cut. My style is not that complicated but he took the time to make sure I looked good for the day ahead and has done so ever since. I have come in every four weeks like clock work and no one cuts my hair but him. He is well sought after so of course I call ahead. We discuss the topics of the day and share a love for movies which we discuss at length with every visit. Over time, I consider him not only my stylist but my friend as well. I rarely get my haircut due to stylist always cutting my hair too short and over charging. (The same goes for my daughter) My daughter and I desperately needed one so I gave in and called supercuts seeing as they're prices seemed reasonable. Whoever answered the phone said they only do walk ins but since I called I get an advantage. When I got there, they did let me know it would be a wait, which I didn't mind plus I waited less than 10 mins (bonus! ) Gabby did my hair and timmarie did my daughter. For the first time, these girls listen and gave me and my daughter exactly what I wanted! And NO over charge. I will be returning along with my daughter. Thank you girls for an amazing experience. I went here because the one I usually go to is in downtown PS and I also didn't have a lot of time to go there so I tried Supercuts. It was my first time here. Was hoping to get a simple design on the side of my hair but they said they couldn't do that without the tools. What tools? I told the lady just go over it but she said she couldn't. My barber didn't even used tools to do a zig zag on the side of my head. She didn't even seem excited to cut my hair either. The top of my hair is uneven so now I have to wait for it to grow back so I can style it how I usually want to. They also use a hot towel to wipe off the hairs. Like what?!! That makes the hair on my face get even more stuck to my face. Just use a blow dryer. Would rather prefer that. I'm Never coming back here again. Not even worth $23. It looks like if someone practice on my hair :( read more
