Twisting hair like a towel is damaging, especially for women with long or delicate hair. That's not technique... that's laziness. The bang trim for $35 Cutting bangs only is usually: $10-$15 at most salons Sometimes even free if you're a returning customer Charging $35 is highway robbery with a curling iron. I brought my sister and daughter into Ulta beauty shop for us all to get our hair washed. The beautician a beautiful black lady, but I dont remember her name exactly. Name started with a D, but I dont know if that was the first or last name. She was very rough while washing our hair, didn't do a good job all, it was the roughest treatment I have ever had by a beautician. She then started wringing it out like a towel, twisting it tightly and pulling on it so hard. Then when she cut my sisters bangs, just the BANGS!! she then charged 35.00 for a 'hair cutting fee to her. We will never go back there again. I didn't let her style my hair because I didn't care for the way she styled my sister's hair, it was horrible. This was on Friday the 7th of August. The total bill was 217.00 for 3 haircuts; one for sure was just bangs cut. And 3 washings, and 2 hair styling with a curling iron and blow dryer. Nothing was worth 100.00, much less 217.00. Very disappointed and embarrassed. My sister said her hairstylist in Tucson was going to have a fit when she sees what she allowed to be done to her bangs. This posted under my husbands name, but it is my review. .

She was accepting payment from another about to leave. NOBODY else was there! She refused to take me even after I stated the time wasn't yet closing and I wouldn't take long! Wouldn't have taken 12 min tops!! They'd done me before and knew this! I could not have been more disappointed, had a manager been there or corporate number been available, I'd have complained on sight and I don't usually ever complain! If 4 is closing 4 is when you stop taking customers! If I'd have taken a long time to cut I might understand a bit but this would have been very quick! Woulda been done easy! She just wanted to leave at or BEFORE 4! I'll give em another try they are usually great, but not with that one and if I see a manager I'll tell them, after driving all that way for nothing! I'd give less then 1 if that were possible! Normally such a good place I'm shocked this happened! You can't let good places start this mess or they aren't good any longer!!!!

When we entered, there was a marked difference in the temperature of the mall and the temperature in the store. Okay, perhaps their AC is on the fritz. We kept shopping, and saw an ad for BOGOHO Levi's. Okay. We found what we were looking for, but wanted to pay. Every register closed. The one middle eastern lady we found was too busy talking to her friend, she wouldn't take our payment. She told us to go to cosmetics, where we had to wait ~7 minutes for some random dude to pull off his "high finance" at the register. When it was our turn, we talked to the very nice cashier who told us the AC has been out every Summer since she started working there....FIVE years ago. Seriously? After payment, we left cosmetics and found the chatty Cathy employee still talking to, and helping another employee pay. Get it together, JCP. Who the heck wants to try on clothes when they're sweating? Fix your AC and get some employees who want to help.

The store is laid out in the traditional big box, JC Penny design. They have a very large clothing section for Men, boys, girls and women. Prices are reasonable, and they always claim to have a sale going on. I think the sale is purely a marketing ploy, but either way, the prices seem fair. The staff was friendly even with the onslaught of holiday shoppers. I did like this store, but prefer the more modern stand alone stores not attached to a mall. It seemed that those types are easier to navigate.
