I paid 150$ for her to have a different color for 3 weeks. Very disappointed, had they clearly said it would fade it weeks, I would have told them to do permanent. Businesses should stand behind what they do, and ensure that customers are satisfied. Sadly won't ever go there again.

No one called me back so after waiting several hours I called back yet again since I really needed to book an appointment. Even had to go online and double check operation hours! The person who then answered the phone informed me there was no receptionist "in" today... Your business' lack of staff and planning is not my problem, you don't need to be rude to your clients. I spend about $250 every appointment and unfortunately, my stylist has whomever answered the phone, to blame for her loss.

Horrible experience at TL Red Salon,…read more Worst experience I've ever had getting my hair done, so bad I walked out with a wet head and didn't tip and only paid for the colour and shit haircut $172. I should have refused to pay that. I have never once left a salon this angry or in the state I have in my entire life. I couldn't get into my regular stylist for another 6 weeks and I hadn't had my hair done professionally since February. I usually get my hair done every 6-8 weeks and pay $250-300 with tip depending on what is done. The appointment started off ok, I showed Loanne pictures of styles and colours that I liked, SHE said no to all them and proceeded to show me pictures from her phone. I told her I didn't want bayolage the pictures she showed started at minimum $300, and would take 5.5-6 hours. I told her I didn't have time for that as I had a work meeting at 3:30pm (my appointment was at 1145, I was early by 15 mins). I then asked for a root and foil touch up, with a coppery brown mix. She did not listen at all. She proceeded to tell me that she would do it quickly and I would make a meeting I had to be at for 3:30pm in Calgary. I've got to say Loanne's workmanship is comparable to a toddler playing with their Barbie hair. Sloppy, unprofessional, egotistical and requires a hell of a lot more training to justify the confidence she has. Main complaints: - I needed to get a lot of length off, so she used a clipper to take about 4 inches off one side and about 6 inches on the other. Yep, it was angled?! This was prior to any colouring so I wasn't too concerned. - 6 trips to the sink to wash different sections of hair, none of those times a towel was used, my top was completely soaked. Loanne didn't use the cupping over the ear technique that is commonly used so I had water and shampoo in my ears and it felt like I was having a cold shower and letting a 4 year old wash my hair. - hair dye marks on my forehead, my nose!?, under my chin AND below my eyes. - missed my work meeting, even though I made it clear I needed to be gone by 3. I still had the foils in my hair at 2:50. The state my face was in from hair dye there is no way I'd go in looking in state I did with soaking wet clothes. She told me to go to meeting and come back. (Keep in mind I had an angled cut, hair dye on my face, shirt was saturated in water and no time to even wash and dry my hair) - worst hair cut of my life. Uneven, blocky, almost like a bucket was put over my head and used as a template to cut around my neckline. Loanne wanted to style and trim after blow drying my hair, I had already lost complete faith in her abilities as a stylist and had enough. I was done I didn't want anything more to do with her. - oh and my hair is not coppery brown... it's blond and WHITE around my neckline. - little to no communication in the 4 hours I was there. I'm not sure who has rated Loanne 5 stars in the past but she had no problem telling me repeatedly that people pay her $500 to do their hair. The last time she said this I told her they were fucking idiots. I expressed my concerns to the Manager Arleen via Facebook Messenger, she offered me a full refund on Friday night at 8:24pm and then I received a message this morning at 8:28am that a refund WOULD NOT be given. But they would fix my hair. (Not a chance!) Perhaps I'm not getting a refund because I didn't delete my post from Yelp yet that was made on. Friday, I had intended to once I received the refund today. Save your money, I would have done a way better job giving myself a COVID cut. I am by no means high maintenance when it comes to my hair. The majority of time it's tied up or straightened, I don't curl it daily I don't use hairspray or mousse or any other products. My mom was a hairdresser (retired and in lives Ireland), I know the pride she used to take on her customers. My experience was night and day. August 10/20: In response to Loanne @ TL Red Salon - I missed a work meeting after repeatedly telling you the time I needed to leave. Which resulted in disciplinary action. I was already a hot mess after your "service". There was no way I was going to attend a meeting in the state I looked. The coloring is atrocious and not very well done, nor the color I asked for once it was determined I didn't not have the time for they style you suggested. I had already spent 4 hours in the salon and I was extremely angry and lost complete faith in you and your abilities. August 12/20: TL Salon has removed the ability to comment/review on their Facebook page! Loanne your ego and inability to admit your mistake is absolutely appalling. Karma is going to bite you in the ass.

My clothes would often get hair dye on them, and she never took accountability or apologized. She's very arrogant for such subpar work and takes constructive critism poorly. At my first appointment, she was extremely late and there have been a couple times afterwards that my appointment was cancelled last moment. She also has extreme mood swings and is quick to anger. It was like walking on egg shells. Additionally, the colour that she selected for me wasn't at all close to my natural colour which is what I had requested. I go to another salon now where I had it corrected.

The guy butchered her hair and gave her an old lady hairstyle bob that was absolutely nothing what the picture looked like. The haircut was very rushed and my daughter was uncomfortable with the hairdresser. Do not recommend unless you know who you are going to and trust them. Seriously, I feel so bad for my 12 yo daughter and the experience she just had.
