If I could give a zero I would. My car was towed from a kiwipark facility which I am a monthly customer of. I reported my car stolen and subsequently was told by kiwipark it was accidently towed and they did not give the approval for that, when I got to the premises it just turned into a really horrible experience, no compassion at all for the stressful day I had including a threat of if i want my car i need to stop being rude, I was not rude i just showed my phone when i was asked why i hadnt forwarded kiwiparks email to them for the no charge (i did not have my glasses i was struggling to see so it took longer). Lack of comnunication to customers on updates etc... - Driver just showed up and said "I need to get a lower truck" thats the last I saw of him. What I dont understand is agreeing with a Yes Yes Yes then ghost customers a simple " sorry we cant" rather making the customer guess whats gonna happen! - My last call for an update was "I will call you back" screen your calls much? Very professional to help us when we find people taking a chance and parking in a parking space that clearly says no parking. When confronted, driver stays calm and stands his ground, he is there because we asked him to clear our space of an illegal parker, one minute, or 1 hour if it is not your parking dont use it, should be quite simple. If we pay for a spot we should be able to expect to use it!. 9/08/13 I had parked my Toyota Corolla car opposite 53 Cook St. at Fine Wines Shop about 20.15hrs for just a few minutes as I was delivering parcel at Aura Apts. Within those few minutes the Amalgamated tower towed my car to 230 Symonds Street which was only a 5 minute drive. The towing company charged me $250 for a 5 minute drive. I told them to reduce the fee as it was too high for a 5minute drive but the lady sitting at the counter refused and instead told me to look at the breakup cost for the $250 they charged. Below is the breakup cost for the fee they charged with reasons and they never incurred a cost of $250 which they have justified. My view is they have charged too high a towing fee and would like them to refund a fair amount to me. Breakup Costs for the $250 as below : 1) Signage costs 2) Security Costs 3) Motor Vehicle Insurance costs 4) Business Insurance Costs 5) Vehicle running and fuel costs. 6) Public Liability Insurance 7) Property Maintenance costs 8) Lease Costs 9) Onboard vehicle compliance costs 10) Staff Wagers 11) Vehicle Lease costs 12) Vehicle repair costs . Also was shocked that the carpark of Fine Wines was stinking of toilet smell which was disgusting for a shop of that name.
