This is the best place for hot dogs in Charleston, WV. They have the best WV dog I have tasted in years. They also have quite a selection of styles and ingredients. The sauces and toppings and made fresh and boy you can taste the difference. They use all beef wieners which totally enhances the hot dog experience. Their relish is amazing. And if you like spicy there is plenty for you as well. The owners and the staff are great and super friendly. The dogs are a little more expensive than most but the fresh ingredients and the all beef wieners make up for that. I am currently eating my way through their menu. Once I have done that I will create my own dog. I love a challenge. It is not a sit down restaurant but there are two nice benches for sitting while you wait and enough room for wheelchairs. We tried this small storefront hot dog stand for lunch while we were in Charleston WV and all I cma say is WOW. The food was delicious with generous portions and the service was spectacular. They made us feel so welcome and made sure we knew what was up with the menu. You can get brats and hot dogs anyway you want. And delicious. Great value for the price. Wow! Amazing experience! I'm originally from NYC and I haven't seen a corner vender since I've moved here. Jeremy, the owner, is super awesome! He was closing up when myself and another gentleman came up to his cart. He was nice enough to open back up and take care of us. The setting is perfect, right in the park, so you can grab your dogs and enjoy a nice, relaxing break. The hotdogs themselves were great! Can't wait to come back! BTW: Get the curry mustard! Jason Myer used to run a portable hot dog stand at the corner of Capitol and Lee Streets in downtown Charleston, and thanks to a growing legion of fans, he has now been able to move into a storefront on Quarrier Street. It's very conveniently located. Maybe you like the signature "West Virginia Hot Dog" served with chili, coleslaw and onions. It's okay, but I prefer my hot dogs with sauerkraut. However you like your hot dogs, you can get them served up with a wide variety a toppings, sauces, and spices. Make sure you try is "Super Mustard" which is curry-flavored. His hot dogs are Nathan's Famous; he also has brats and a "sausage of the day." Jason is a really nice guy, he's a fan of NPR, and he runs a very clean business. Out running errands with Hubby and as we arguing about what to eat for lunch, this this place pops up on Yelp. We decided to check it out. I got the almost WV hotdogs. They were delicious. Chips and drink. He ordered 4 hotdogs West Virginia style and a polish dog. They must have been great because he hasn't said a word for about 15 minutes. This guy care's about hot dogs and he cares about your experience when you buy one of his hot dogs. But the problem is you'll want to eat more than one. That's cool though because they're 2 for $5. Super affordable. He started out with a cart at the corner of Capitol and Lee Streets and now he operates a full restaurant about 2 blocks away on Quarrier street. He's a bonafide hot dog artist! There are several different varieties of franks to try with every toping imaginable. Super Weenie is becoming part of the local culture and at this rate the establishment will soon be a Charleston institution! read more
