Produce was fresh, and there was a good selection of regional cheeses. If you can get over to the local market (Les Halles), that's where you'll find amazing meats and cheese and chocolates (all a bit pricey), but Carrefour is quick and convenient. Bring or purchase bags to carry your stuff in. And remember ... eggs aren't in the refrigerated cases here. They've also got a decent selection of beer.

There is also a 24x7 self-service gas station, which was very handy. The store does have limited hours on Sunday, and is very busy. I would suggest shopping on another day. This is a typical larger supermarket, and I don't believe people should expect the same amount of artisan products, as they might find at the local village markets or shops.

Or as the French would say "LeClerc"…read more It's a huge supermarket that sells practically everything you need in life: food, clothing, kitchen supplies, gardening supplies, small appliances, etc... In case you didn't know, most of the French shop in these megastores which include Auchun, Carrefour, and E. Leclerc. This location is in a mall in which there are clothing boutiques, an Orange mobile store, pharmacy, and even a Subway. You can literally spend hours in here without realizing it. Make sure you know what to get because once you leave a department, then it's a looooooong walk to back for the forgotten eggs. I speak from experience =) Bring your own bags and pack your own bags. No one will help but they will wait patiently until you move out of the way. Oh, and there's a McD's outside!
