He said that he could do the work but I'd have to contact Edwardo but he was out of town at the moment. This was on a Wednesday. I texted and got no reply so I called and left a message. My call was returned about 4 hours later. We scheduled for me to be at his location on Friday morning at 9:00am. I was there a few minuets early. At 9am nobody was there. At 9:45 I left a note on his door stating that we has a 9am appointment and I was disappointed. At 12:45 I got a text asking me if I was at his shop earlier. I replied yes and that I had made a special trip (26 miles each way). His reply "Sorry about that we left early to do some mobile since we havent been at the shop because I just open". Martinez Car Wash cannot be counted on to honor an appointment. I know of people that have scheduled their mobile service and Martinez never showed up but I thought it was different because I traveled to THEIR shop. It goes to their credibility, or the lack there of. I cannot give a good rating to anyone that stands me up or does not have the respect to call me if there is an issue. I cannot recommend Martinez Car Wash because of they cannot be trusted to do the work as promised. Find another car wash! I cannot recommend Las Banderas either because of their low quality work.

So when I discovered there was a hand car wash here, I was genuinely hopeful. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. I chose the wash and wax service for $61, which seemed reasonable. The gentleman who assisted me was friendly but distracted--he spent most of the time talking on his cellphone to family. I had to repeatedly ask, "Are you talking to me or someone else?" He did apologize, but the lack of focus was a red flag. I'm the kind of customer who believes first impressions matter. I'm not going to do a walk-around when the job is done--I trust that if you're in this business, you take pride in your work. So I tipped him 20% and left. Once I got home, though, I noticed wax residue left on several parts of my car. I had to remove it myself. On the inside, my cream interior should've made it easy to see what was or wasn't wiped down--and clearly, nothing was. He vacuumed the mats and hit the dash with some ArmorAll, but didn't touch any of the actual surfaces. I spent another 40 minutes at home cleaning what I thought I had already paid for. I really wanted this to be my go-to car wash in Valdosta, but after this experience, I'm seriously considering opening my own hand wash--just so I can get the level of service I expected in the first place.

Initial visit to this location was June 8. Went through the automated wash specifically because it…read moreadvertised an "undercarriage wash" on the sign in as being included in three different washes....the "Fusion combination" listed at $6.00, The "Energizer Touchless" listed at $8.00 and the the "Fusion Extreme" listed at $10.00 The undercarriage wash was the only reason I went through there because I had traveled down one of our local dirt roads in my SUV after it rained (which equates, if you're not local, to a mud-covered slip and slide, some of which are not optional to bypass in this county). Since it was advertised as being in the basic "fusion combination" I chose that. The undercarriage wash didn't work. It never came on. Beyond that when the wash was done, I had to pull into one of the regular bays and pay more money to use the manual car wash to wash off all the soap! Called and left a voicemail for the person who is the contact point on the machine and received a text message back stating that the undercarriage wash was not included in that level I had chosen. I sent him a photo of the sign where it was clearly advertised. He then told me he had checked with his "maintenance man" prior and had told them to take "that option" off the sign (take note of this..). He also stated that it was probably soap "in hidden areas" on my vehicle. (take note of that, too). He tried to make it right by texting me a code to get a free wash next time. Today, I went back through. The sign STILL showed the same prices and the same features included in each wash as it had before. So, I had the code, so I figured I'd use it. I chose the $10.00 wash. Once again it did not do the undercarriage wash. When it was over, the blower started a timer of "60" (seconds) and before I could even get the truck in gear, it dropped to "40" seconds. It literally dropped 20 seconds before I could even get to it (in about one second's time). Got out, sure enough, vehicle is still covered in soap. Not hidden areas. Flat panels. The windows. The hood. The roof. No way that the blower blew soap out of hidden areas ONTO THE ROOF. So now my "free car wash" he gave from the first time I went there is costing me money to do it right. Sent him another message. He tells me that they "turned off the undercarriage wash due to a blown hose". So, in 9 days, they hadn't fixed the sign and now they turned off a feature...that's advertised...but they still, knowingly and purposely charged customers for it with no intent of giving them what they paid for. I told him, again, about his sign as well. I told him (direct quote, I have the screenshots) "whoever you've got running that place needs to have a serious job performance review". I also expressed to him that if a feature is turned off, don't advertise it. If Any other car wash in town has a broken part....they put an out of order sign on it. Most of them just send a message to the electronic box to say "out of order" and they never have to go to the location at all until someone fixes the issue. He told me he doesn't have anyone running it. Just clean up crews and repairmen. But in a prior message he mentioned a "maintenance man" and a "business man". Strange. He said my experience is "just part of the car wash world" and stated he'd "been in it 25 years". He also stated he's got "100's of loyal happy customers". Thinking the reason he believes that is because nobody has made him aware of what really goes on. Count me as one who isn't "loyal" or "happy". Simple rules of business (And I've been in THAT world, myself, for 27 years): 1 - Don't advertise what you can't deliver 2 - Don't charge your customers for what wasn't delivered. All the "free" in the world, after the fact, doesn't make up for bad business to begin with. His sign says "we like it dirty". That's actually truth-in-advertising....because his car wash isn't capable of getting the dirt off. Skip it. Go to the Goo Goo or the Oasis. Much better value for the money and no attitude.
