I have never…read moreleft a review on Yelp before but after our experience with ABC Moving and Storage, I thought it was necessary. My fiance and I were moving for a new job and ABC Moving was one of the moving companies that our new employer recommended/had a contract with. Our issues with them started early on in the process. When they called to obtain info and give us an estimate, they told me that they were already going to have a truck in our city so they could give us a good discount if we could change our moving date. It was a good discount as their estimate was lower than the other company's so we juggled some things around and agreed to that new date. A couple days prior to our move, however, we got a call saying their previous job had been cancelled and that we needed to change our move in date again. We did so hoping we would still get some kind of discount for being flexible, etc. After they moved our stuff (and I must say that although every other aspect of dealing with this company was horrific, the movers themselves were great), they emailed me with a new estimate that was 30% more than the original one. I inquired if we could still get a discount and they told us they'd work on it. At this point, we're getting skeptical but still hoping it'd work out in the end. After we stored our belongings with them for ~1 month, we were ready to move. At this point, a few things from the original estimate had changed on our end. Our belongings weighed in a couple thousand pounds lower than what was on the estimate and we ended up moving to an apartment 40 miles closer to the moving company. We thought this would lower the cost in the end but once we received the bill, we noticed that the amount had gone up again and was now almost double the original estimate. To summarize, after moving a few thousand pounds fewer than the original estimate and moving a shorter distance, the final invoice was double the amount of the original estimate. Additionally, we're fairly confident they never planned on having a truck in our city in the first place and they just lied to get our business. We have moved before and know that dealing with moving companies can be a nightmare but dealing with ABC moving and storage when above and beyond any nightmare we could have imagined. During my free time for the foreseeable future, I will be doing everything possible to help others in our situation avoid choosing this company.

They helped us determine the best way to move as we were combining two homes and putting some items in storage the first time. The second move we were moving the storage items as well as our current home items - and they knew just how to approach all the moving parts to make each move as smooth as possible. They are always honest and upfront with their customers. On the day of the move we found their employees to be considerate of no only our home but also our furniture and belongings. I would recommend ABC Moving and Storage hands down above any other moving company in the area.

I came to Postal Annex to get a document notarized. I showed the clerk my ID and gave her my…read moredocument. She refused to notarize it because she said I didn't sign it in front of her. While that is ideal it is not an absolute rule if the person who has signed is in your presence and has presented a valid ID and stated that it is heir signature. I know this to be true because I am also a North Carolina notary and have attached the statute. She didn't offer to make another copy of my document or assist in any other way. Beyond the clerk being difficult expect high prices and to be greeted with a phony smile. Just go to the UPS store if you have an urgent matter and don't have time for games.

They have a lot of interesting items for sale that are outside of a normal postal location. I found some really great gifts for my nieces birthday.
