I have always shopped at super shoes they have up to date shoes the workers are very helpfull there selection of work boots is great

I have shopped here for years dating back to when I lived in town and grew up in the area. This store prides itself on moderately priced shoes and sandals but also has a very nice assortment of clothing and items for everyone. To be honest when I come home from Pittsburgh I usually drive right past this spot and then when all else fails, I come here and shop and get what I want kicking myself for not trying there first. I have bought sandals, shoes for officiating, socks, and moccasins from here over the years. What I also noticed is they have an incredible selection of scrubs for nurses and a large variety of Carhart clothing as well from shirts to hoodies to jackets and work coats. One of my favorite parts of this store is the variety, a very deep stock of everything and their customer service. The women who work here are always helpful and getting you in and out. Not just a place to go for Christmas shopping- I recommend stopping here all the time! Big selection, great service, and friendly prices to everyone who can't afford to spend a lot on big names and high priced fashion! read more

Another typical store in Cumberland not one customer in the store and I needed to exchange or return a shirt. I had the sales receipt, but not the tag and she wouldn't return it. Not only that she was a rude hillbilly so what do expect. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME SHOPPING HERE! Maybe this establishment should start by providing a washroom for it's customers! It's a HUGE store and NO public washrooms!!! Their policies are barbaric also. They didnt have my size of shoes in stock. I asked if they could order mine. They said that they could, but you DO NOT get the " Buy one get the second half off " deal they are advertising. HOLD ON...is it my fault that they don't have a size in stock? I don't believe so. Being December 26th...return day. I guess that was the reason the staff was also so short on patience! Let me preface with this: This post is about the chain in general, namely the PA stores. It is posted here since I looked up where the main store/office is located. This company is a great place to shop, no thanks to upper management. The associates are friendly and helpful and frequently go above and beyond their job description and pay rate, but they are treated with a serious lack of appreciation and respect. They are very underpaid and the raises they are promised never happen. Mid-level management (they call them Keyholders) very frequently make the same amount as regular full-time employees and only about 50 cents more than part-time employees. Store managers spend the majority of their time in the office leaving everyone else to run the store. Managers at some stores will even try to hide the fact they are store managers (wear a jacket covering their name tag and/or walking away from the counter when they see a customer come in with a return) from irate customers simply to put the pressure on their Keyholders. This job is not bad for the short run. Most employees don't make it more than a year without quitting. The store would also rather hire and train an outsider for promotion before offering to eligible employees already working for them. There is no reason an entry-level retail job should come with as much drama and stress as it does. The problem is that out of store management (district managers and above) are too busy with so much on their plate that they don't have time to come in and put store management in line. You wouldn't even know there is such thing as an assistant manager as the store manager will take on all of the duties of both jobs forcing the assistant managers to not use any skills other than those practiced by normal part-time associates and allowing the store manager to sit in the office all day avoiding the day to day work that is then pushed onto everyone else. But don't do it wrong! There is a serious lack of respect between store manager and their Keyholders. Keyholders and regular associates alike work their tails off just to have the store manager take credit for them being such good employees. Simply disgraceful and stressful. Southwestern, PA stores really need to clean out management and properly train someone who will accept and do the job with pride and a desire to be there. It is quite obvious there are managers employed who are so for the benefits and have no desire to actually do their jobs. Get it together Super Shoes chain. read more
