We went specifically to get a plum tree. We got a lovely shaped specimen and were given good advice about planting and pruning. The chap we were speaking to also recommended a couple of jasmines and we bought a few annuals too. He kindly tied up the tree and helped us into the car with it. The creepers and tree have really taken hold in our garden, thanks to the good advice, and are growing nicely this year. We're hoping to make another trip out to Thompsons later this summer.

The shop area houses a large range of garden furniture, water features, books and gifts as well as a large range of house plants including orchids and some exotic species. There are also many types of garden compost and accessories including paving and stoneware for garden landscaping. Overall a very pleasant place to browse for your gardening needs.

Have used this garden centre for the last 4 years with no problem. This year bought 12 bags of…read morecompost and for some reason a fungus started to grow in the compost and the seeds and plants we planted would not grow. Contacted the garden centre who said they would contact the rep and get back to me, two weeks passed with no contact. Rang them numerous times to no avail. Then a lady called Kate took my call and basically said there was nothing they were going to do, she was very unhelpful with no sympathy for our plight despite us spending nearly £100 on compost. You can always judge the merits of a company when things go wrong and how they deal with it, this time Bexley Garden centre failed miserably. Would not use again and advise others to do so the same.

Brilliant garden place discovered this hidden gem the other week. The flowers all look well cared…read morefor and are displayed beautifully. Also the roses smell heavenly the best smelling roses I have ever smelt. They also sell many other garden items such as spades, gloves, seeds, pets etc. I especially love the metal garden sculptures and concrete statues they sell very unusual and arty. the prices for everything is also well priced. Staff are very happy, friendly and extremely helpful.
