I stopped in here to finally sample the deviously illegal in the USA treat I had long heard…read moreabout... THE KINDER EGG. This terrifying threat to U.S. national security was quite terrifying looking as I delicately attempted to diffuse its dangerous outer casing to attempt to get a look at the dangerous explosive core of the device. On one of my sample eggs I gently removed the delicious chocolate casing with my teeth tools and swallowed the chocolate rapidly to ensure no children could be harmed across the border. Next I was left with the dangerous plastic core filled with dangerous toy part shrapnel that I had to delicately pry open which with my finger tools proved challenging so I had to add teeth biting tools into the mix and the plastic shell quickly popped open. Inside the nefarious plastic core I removed the plastic shrapnel parts and assembled them into the crappy little toy they made. I repeated this process several times with my other Kinder Egg samples to evaluate the risk and overall my evaluation was that the toys inside are crap but banning these dumb Kinder Eggs is also dumb. The crappy toys got tossed in the trash in possible violation of some Canadian recycling laws as I'm not sure if I threw them in the right place but I needed to ensure I wouldn't violate the U.S. laws of dumb Kinder Egg ban either. Hopefully this will not result in an overwhelming international incident as my professional evaluation and testing of the Kinder Egg threat was thorough and the chocolate was fully consumed to avoid any danger of choking by any Darwin awards recipients.

I avoid this one unless I really have to (ie good price, or I'm really low on gas) The guy's name is Malik. For example when I pay by cash, he says, "do you need your change?" Then giggles at me??!! When I say, "yes of course" he replies with, "well you have to say so" and laughs as if it's funny?? When Aeroplan partnered with Journie, I tried to scan both cards. He got annoyed and said, "you can only use one!!". When I said that a different Cheveron let me do it, he got angry and said, "try it again then!" Which I did, but it didn't go through. Then he said, "see!? I told you!" He totally gave me the creeps.

Can get a bit busy during rush hour, but nothing crazy. The location is actually a bit on the small side, with only 2 rows of pumps. But it does get the job done.

I ordered a iPhone charging cable from this Shell Convenience Shop location via UberEats on March…read more21 and while a convenience shop doesn't typically warrant a review - I wanted to note the excellent customer service from the individual at this Shell location. (My iPhone cable showed it to be charging with the lighting sign on the charging bar on the iPhone but it didn't seem to actually be charging and was running out of batteries - so I needed a replacement USB lighting cable ASAP... it was past 10 PM so most shops were closed but thankfully there was UberEats.) A quick search on the UberEats app showed several gas stations that carried the lighting cable. The first one I ordered from Petro Canada didn't have it in stock so they cancelled the order. I replaced the order with Shell on 49th Avenue that also showed to have the iPhone charging cable... along with three chocolate bars (Free delivery with $15 purchase on UberEats with Uber One membership at $9.99/month - the chocolate bars at this Shell was also cheaper than most convenience shops or gas station convenience shops. Two Kinder Bars were only $2 with a promo on UberEats and Caramilk was $1.5?) Anyways, shortly after I received a call from Shell with the attendant wanting to confirm which cable it was (the individual mentioned he used Samsung and wasn't familiar with the variation of iPhone cables) to ensure I had the right cable for the newer generation iPhone. What I noted was how polite and respectful the individual was on the phone (even on hanging up saying Thank You and have a nice day)... surprised at the courtesy and respect from a convenience shop at a gas station. Got some extra time so thought to write a review to note that the staff here seem very friendly and respectful. Confirmed which cable was needed and asked if I had any colour preferences (no) and received my charging cable in hand (with some chocolates!) shortly later just as my phone ran out of batteries. The convenience of UberEats and 24 hours convenience shops (I appreciate the attendant taking the time to ensure I had the right charging cable as the previous Petro Canada also called inquiring if it was type-C before cancelling the order when clarifying it was the 8-pin and they didn't have stock.)

Right along Brunette Avenue, in Maillardville out in Coquitlam, a gas station is a gas station, isn't it? Well, sometimes when you get consistent good service from the people who work here, it's a little different. The gas stations out in Coquitlam are full-serve, something that a Vancouverite like me takes getting used to. But the energy and enthusiasm of the staff here, regardless of when it is sunny, or rainy, gets my thumbs up. It's nice when the people who work here, actually try to create conversation, and ask how your day is, and carry on the coversation not with a one-liner.

Often get my gas here as it's super convenient for me. I love that they are full-serve here…read more(Coquitlam by-law) and the men that work there are always on top of it! They come immediately when you pull up to the station and you never need to get out of your car and you don't feel obligated at all to tip. How awesome is that? Prices are the same or maybe a penny more expensive than the Shell on North Road and Lougheed so i'd go there if I have my Air Miles card on me and heading westbound... but otherwise, Husky is good for me.

The gas station was very packed with cars when I arrived. Do fill up at night here (it is cheaper). They have car wash onsite and a small convenient store for those who needs to pick up a few things on the go. Overall definitely a good experience.
