I took my cat there three times and each time she would jerk her hand away from my cat when he resisted being examined. To be fair, he's an obstinate kitty but he's 100% not vicious. His claws are trimmed (by me) and he nips a bit. I would understand an average person being cautious, but a vet reacting by jumping away? Not cool. Every time I went, she tried to convince me to sedate him. And every time my cat was more afraid. I also find that they are very quick to additional tests and treatments. My cat is energetic and playful, his coat is healthy, he eats well, is a healthy weight and stays indoors. Because she couldn't examine his teeth, she recommended I have him sedated to get X-rays and a teeth cleaning (even though from what she did see his teeth were ok). It all felt excessive and I eventually went to another vet who knew how to handle my cat better and took a less invasive approach. Maybe we just had different life/medical philosophies but I wouldn't recommend this for a cat with any spunk unless you don't mind medicating for each trip.

The exam room is nice, I enjoy the tall chairs which allow for an owner to sit and still be close to their animal. The tech left us after taking my cat's temperature, and we sat in the exam room for a good 40 minutes before the vet came in, and she apologized and explained that she was going over his files from our previous vet, so I was very happy that she wanted a thorough understanding of him. The exam was standard, she addressed all my concerns perfectly and even made some helpful suggestions about his care. Confident this will be our new family vet.

It appears from her reaction in consultation she didn't read chart sent over from my pet's regular vet. Nor from the Centre Vet Laval where she works out of most days. She referred me to ER at Centre Vet Laval for a serious issue, yet didn't appear to have read the resulting notes then either. Despite the cancer diagnosis, she did not listen to my concerns and brushed me off . She is detached, and lacks urgency. She claims on her Cancer Vet Montreal website to guide and support you and your pet with compassion, and empathy, through this difficult time. NOT my experience at ALL with her. Very very dissatisfied. Be Careful!!!!! My experience was she was disingenuous, and she refused to answer questions about how she handled certain issues, and denied my request for imaging tests, and then at another appointment said she didn't do them because I did not want them which is completely false. I asked multiple times at multiple appointments for imaging, and she said "not needed". But for me, it was very important when making decisions for medical care. This is my choice to make, not hers, and she denied me that. Perhaps there was something else that can be done, perhaps, I would change my mind on certain choices in care that I was leaning towards. .However, this seemed not to matter to her. This is super alarming to me, that she thinks that it is ok. I had to go to another vet, across town to have imaging to ensure to make the right medical choices for my furbaby. I honestly felt she was not 100% interested at all in helping,. This is my beloved pet, and she should be understanding of the stress a pet parent is under, with cancer diagnosis and be more willing to recommend things or give pamphlets if is too much for her to explain. Never, will I ever recommend to anyone I know with a pet. If you love your pet, please, please, please, please go elsewhere.

The reception remembers Beanie every time he comes in as a kitten would give him cuddles before his appointment time! Bo just got neutered last week and the vets were, again, immaculate. I can't stress how wonderful the level of care is here. Reception is also spot on and the techs always call and are extremely supportive and informative. I live downtown but always take an Uber to this clinic. It's worth the extra time and money.

I had to leave my pets to have their booster shots and send a friend to pick them up, not be able to complete 2/3 of the appointment as I am not there to be shown how to trim their nails (the only reason I was waiting to clip them) nor ask for the vet's investigation of a certain coughing/sneezing behavior that's been repeating (kept video of the incidents) nor provide any in person information relevant to their check ups and other issues with their diet. At no point did the staff advise us of any anticipated delay as we say there for an hour. The service has drastically changed since I last used their services and I will be looking elsewhere for my pets' needs.

I had to ask for a quote before all the tests were carried out because otherwise they were just proceeding oblivious to my presence. I have owned pets all my life and dealt with many vets. These were the ones who impressed me the least. I would not go back. I do not recommend them. There are many better clinics in Montreal where they don't deal with customers with attitude and take time to discuss options/interact with your pet.

In the end, I had a few days of quality time with my kitty at home and was spared a hefty vet bill and invasive treatments that would have ultimately done nothing to prevent the inevitable. My other cat was also seen with minor issues and he's thriving at 15 years "young". I was convinced the older was going to die from depression and was so worried about his deteriorating state and then all of a sudden a miracle happened. A tiny absolutely adorbs kitten was brought into our life thanks to Dr. Seto and his crew. I dropped by to buy some cat food and say hi and just passively mentioned that my remaining cat was inactive, stopped grooming and missed his bud. Now my older senior kitty is happy and healthier than ever and he and the new kitten are cat buds! A match made in heaven. We brought the dog to this business - since we knew it was nearby - and they graciously accepted to take care of the dog until it's owner would (hopefully) come looking for it. They were also nice enough to take our contact info for communication/updating purposes. Within a few hours, we received a courteous email from the store informing us that the dog owner had dropped by and picked up the dog. Very nice of them to do this and I believe this informs on the kind of "dog store" they are (and the kind of dog lovers they have running the place). Although the grooming seemed fine, we noticed his eyes were extremely red. While initially concerned, we assumed he got something in it, or had a reaction to one of the grooming products used. However, over the course of two days, the redness did not improve. We took him into the vet today and they confirmed it was bruising and likely popped blood vessels, potentially from being pulled or handled improperly. Our dog is always within our care - we do not use doggy daycare, babysitters or dog walking services, so there is no other explanation than this happening while at the groomer. Our dog is a cavalier and while he is a 10 month old puppy, he is extremely well mannered, rarely aggressive or overly hyper, and not to mention has been groomed prior to this experience elsewhere and has never had an issue. It makes me sick to my stomach that an establishment can boast about such great reviews while clearly handling their clients in an abusive manner. Please, to anyone with a beloved pet, do not bring them here. It broke my heart into many pieces to see the pain caused from this experience.
