If you're looking for authentic tacos, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Between the…read moreincredible Selena mural outside and the fact that it's tucked inside a liquor store, the whole experience feels like discovering a hidden gem. I eat a lot of tacos, and this was, without question, the best pollo (chicken) taco I've ever had. I was expecting the usual dry, bland, or overcooked chicken, but instead it was incredibly juicy, packed with flavor, and generously loaded with meat. Every bite was outstanding. The only downside was the wait time, but once the food arrived, it was easy to see why people are willing to wait. If you're a taco lover, this is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back.

I placed an order for 4 tacos. 2 carne adada and 2 ribeyes. It took about 7-10mins during the lunch run at around 12pm, so not too long. Everything was fresh and hot, prepared correctly. I would rate them a 3.5, but the setvice got them a 4. I would return if in the area for sure.

El Trébol Liquors & Bar is one of Chicago's awesome and old-school half bar/half liquor store…read moresetups. Unlike some of the other slashies I've been to where the areas are mixed, this one is a liquor store up front with the bar sort of hidden/tucked in the back. If you stopped in for a six-pack you'd miss the fact that it was a bar (hold for the sounds of music and people having a good time coming from out of nowhere). Once you enter the bar area, you can try to find a seat at the bar or at a table but you'll order at the bar either way. This is in Pilsen, so the primary language spoken is Spanish but the bartender was bilingual. Trébol is located in Pilsen along one of the main east/west streets that create and pass through the commercial area of the neighborhood. Two tips: First, the men's bathroom door doesn't lock, so be forewarned! Second, cash is preferred if you've got it, but if you don't, you can pay with a card up front in the liquor store area.

My husband and I - and our guests! - could not have enough good words to say about FIG Drinks when…read morethey handled the bar at our wedding this summer. From our first emails with Al, our contact and head bartender for the night, we knew we were in good hands! Any questions or thoughts we had, from the start of the planning process, to the week of the wedding, were answered promptly and happily. Al helped us figure out the best bar menu for our reception style, and since we were using the BYOB method with our venue (we brought the alcohol, they made the drinks/served everything) recommended what to buy and how much of it. And a bonus? He was as excited about our specialty cocktail - brandy old fashioneds - as we were! When the wedding day arrived, Al and his team were amazing. Sometimes it's the little things that count; as the bride, I was especially thankful for Al looking out for me by bringing over a glass of water right before the ceremony to make sure I felt hydrated for the walk down the aisle. When the reception started, drinks were flowing, people were having a good time and dancing (so you KNOW the drinks were good), and I could not count how many people after the wedding commented specifically on how nice the bartenders were! Now my goal is to start throwing a lot more parties, because I want to work with Al and his team again!
