I want to warn other tourists about a deeply unpleasant and frightening experience at the nightclub TEK-YÖN in Istanbul. On December 31, 2024, they demanded an unreasonably high entrance fee BY THE OWNER HIMSELF. When I POLITLY refused to pay that amount, I was physically attacked by the club's OWNER WITHOUT EVEN ME SAYING A WORD "just help my hands upp and yelled "let me be to the OWNER, including the security guards and even the owner himself. They resorted to violence without any provocation. What made the situation worse was that the police WERE THERE AND SAW the incident but refused to assist, completely ignoring what had happened. Later, I tried to file a police report at several police stations and with the tourist police, but I was denied every time. This is not just a safety concern for tourists but also highlights a complete lack of justice and support for visitors. I have traveled extensively, but I have never felt as vulnerable and unsafe as I did here. I strongly advise other tourists to stay away from TEK-YÖN or any other venues where similar risks might exist. Istanbul is a wonderful city, but this experience completely ruined my trip and left me feeling helpless and unsafe. Avoid this club at all costs if you value your safety and dignity as a tourist. DONT VISIT AT ALL COST ESPECIALLY IF ALONE!!!!

We had an excellent time dancing here and plan on coming back again on returning trips to Istanbul.
