Strongly advise tourists to avoid TEK-YÖN in Istanbul DANGEROUS.. LIKE THIS TO HELP IT GET MORE VIEWS so no one could end in likewise situations with this faul club. I want to warn other tourists about a deeply unpleasant and frightening experience at the nightclub TEK-YÖN in Istanbul. On December 31, 2024, they demanded an unreasonably high entrance fee BY THE OWNER HIMSELF. When I POLITLY refused to pay that amount, I was physically attacked by the club's OWNER WITHOUT EVEN ME SAYING A WORD "just help my hands upp and yelled "let me be to the OWNER, including the security guards and even the owner himself. They resorted to violence without any provocation. What made the situation worse was that the police WERE THERE AND SAW the incident but refused to assist, completely ignoring what had happened. Later, I tried to file a police report at several police stations and with the tourist police, but I was denied every time. This is not just a safety concern for tourists but also highlights a complete lack of justice and support for visitors. I have traveled extensively, but I have never felt as vulnerable and unsafe as I did here. I strongly advise other tourists to stay away from TEK-YÖN or any other venues where similar risks might exist. Istanbul is a wonderful city, but this experience completely ruined my trip and left me feeling helpless and unsafe. Avoid this club at all costs if you value your safety and dignity as a tourist. Tekyon Club is a short walk from Taksim Station. I really loved the club because the DJ plays awesome music that varies from top 40, Western, Turkish and EDM hits. There are a couple of bars and bar service that comes to you. To order a drink, you order from the bartender and then pay with the cashier. We had an excellent time dancing here and plan on coming back again on returning trips to Istanbul. FYI - this is a great place to take pics as well.... we took lots of fun pics on the light-up stage or light-up stairs. I highly recommend taking these fun pics while you enjoy your drink and dance the night away!!! read more

Loved the music and the treatment by staff was awesome. We sat in VIP as my husband and I had went to a gay bar beforehand (Pinokyo) and some patrons grouped up on us to try and get free drinks, needless to say they did not get any and looked stunned when I said no; as I had read reviews about that happening in some of the bars. I would highly recommend sitting in VIP if your wallet allows. The only downside was the smoke, but that is bound to be found in most establishments in Istanbul. read more

Tekyon, meaning One Way in Turkish is a funny choice of name for one of Istanbuls hottest gay clubs. Great atmosphere (if a little repressed)with a great mix of people and music varying from UK dance floor fillers to full on Turkish pop anthems. Oh, and they serve yummy little bar snacks like cucumber slivers with salt and lemon, simple but tasty, I've been making them every day since I got back. read more

Such a fun place! It's not your typical gay bar, it has a very distinct turkish flair to it, which I loved. The smoking area in the back was great as well. Lots of space, cool place to mingle. The entrance was 40 TRY when I went about two weeks ago, and it included a free drink. Not too shabby. This will definitely be my go to place when I'm back here! read more

Don't waste your time - especially your money. 23L for juice in a can. OK... I was prepared to pay the 23L drink in a can without the Cover charge. Now that brute of a place with horrible music and enough fumes (smoke) to send out Indian smoke signals attempted to charge me 23 TL entrance fee. Was NOT paying! Absolutely NOT! It is already bad enough to spend 20TL on can juice. 20 TL + for alcohol in a Muslim country... no problem. 20 TL can of Cherry juice + 23 TL for entrance. HELL NO! Moreover, the music is not good. Smoke everywhere, mediocre guys. Maybe one or two interesting, and this is a Friday or Saturday nights.
