This is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon it on google and went to explore the farm to possibly pick…read moreapples. When we got there we learnt apple picking was not happening anymore but they have a huge property with alot of vegetables, a walking and tasting tour and a horse!!! First we met Ben, the magical horse who made our day! We got to brush his hair , feed him and just hang out with him. What a unique experience! Note- They host birthday parties there so the horse can play with the kids. Next we met the main farmer who took us on a walking tour of everything they grow. We tried the most unique flowers, herbs, leaves, etc. most memorable were the chocolate mint, fennel, quinine, edible flowers that taste like cucumber. We tasted alot more including their honey which was great! The farmer was funny, engaging and so knowledgeable too! They sell plants and dried herbs and honey along with veggies and other things. We bought a few things and some plants and had a great chat with the kind farm owner. She is just amazing and knew everything about everything on the farm! Highly recommend! Note- They have parking on site and carry cash to buy things!

The farm is nice, small, close to where we live and we got a personal tour that's the good. I…read moreenjoyed going to the farm...until the bill came. They told us a bunch of vegetables was $6 - that's is 2x what I pay at my expensive farmer's market. I picked a very healthy bunch of chard- $6 and then i had 2 beets also $6- what I object to is she says the price (not of everything) but doesn't define what constitutes a bunch. We ended up spending close to $100 for some starts and very little produce. The owner actually seemed embarrassed by the high prices when we commented at check out but still went ahead with outrageous pricing. Glad to support it the 1x but probably won't be returning as it is too precious for me.

Purchased a couple of pounds of drumsticks and wings from the meat counter yesterday afternoon…read more Took them home only to find out they both smelled bad. Rinsed the wings thinking maybe it was just blood, but nope they were bad, drumsticks too. Put them both back in their original packaging and that into zip lock bags as to not funk up our fridge so I could take them back the next day. When it was my turn at the counter I quietly told them what was going on as to not make a scene in front of other customers about their funky chicken. They opened the bags counted out the drumsticks and gave me the same number of fresh ones that smelled good so I was happy with that. The replacement "fresh" wings on the other hand stunk as bad as the ones that I was returning. Not sure who's buying these funky wings, it's a head scratcher. Now here's where it got weird the only other option was a refund for the wings but the receipt wasn't in the bag like I thought. All 4 butchers behind the counter had a conference and a phone call was made about how these $9 worth of wings with their original sticker still on the bag were going to be returned. After the phone call I was reprimanded as to they'd do it this time but next time I have to have the receipt to which I replied well maybe next time you won't have a problem with your chicken. The entire vibe from everyone there was that I was wrong and they were doing me a favor. He repeated the line about the receipt again and I repeated my line about the funky chicken and pointed out that they could of least said sorry for the inconvenience, but nope wasn't happening. Needless to say it won't be a next time. The bad chicken wasn't that big of a deal, things happen but they couldn't of handled the situation any worse..

Clean store, good produce, excellent butcher section, fair prices, family owned. Lots of Brazilian…read moreand Latin American specialties.

Ok folks, no more driving all the way to Berkeley for Indian groceries. This little gem of a store…read moreis legit, and should really be patronized as much as possible! I poked my head in for the first time today, a bit shameful of me as I am a resident of Hercules and I like to cook Indian food. Major selling points for me: 1. FRESH CURRY LEAVES in the refrigerated items. I could stop here, but let's continue... 2. Large variety of common-in-Indian-cuisine types of dals/lentils/legumes, flours (including Barley flour, and other common flours for all the different types of Indian breads), spices both common and specialized (ie. Kashmiri Chili Powder, Asafoetida, etc), Popular basmati brands (Daawat - both Traditional & Ultima, Royal Authentic, and others)... 3. Freezer section has coconut, drumstick vegetable, pre-made breads and other common items found in Indian grocery stores. 4. NO EXPIRED ITEMS that I picked up and checked, and believe me, I went looking for them. Having expired items on the shelf at any grocery store is such a huge turnoff for me, and this store had within-expiry date products, and a very nice and helpful employee actively restocking the shelves while I was there. Very good sign! 5. They had common British sweets at the counter, such as Cadbury Flakes. Maybe a little too convenient! :) Today when I went, they had fresh Fenugreek leaves and guavas in the front of the store on display. I was told they had some mango and guava pastries in the back (I passed this time, but will seek the pastries out in the future). I have a feeling they probably have different fresh items as they happen upon them if they are good quality and are in season. All in all, I can't think of anything that other bigger Indian grocery stores have that this little store didn't. Great variety and well stocked! Sarab and Jessica were very nice and helpful employees, and they happily got my business today. I look forward enthusiastically to continuing to patronize their wonderful little store. Thank you KS, lucky to have you in Hercules!

Best plot twist of 2025: Filipino grocery items inside an Indian grocery in Hercules. :)…read more I didn't expect this, but I'm genuinely so happy it's here. No more driving far just to cook something familiar, they carry Filipino grocery items and pantry staples for everyday cooking. They have essentials like Mang Tomas, pancit canton, and I was really excited to see lumpia and fish balls in the freezer. It makes such a difference being able to grab Filipino products close to home. And don't be intimidated walking in, the owner is really kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. If you need help or recommendations, he's more than happy to help and actually takes the time to explain things. Also love that Sugartoof is right next door. If you're craving halo-halo, theirs is the best, and they also have Italian-Filipino desserts, empanadas, and hot food, perfect after a quick grocery run. There's even a threading studio here, which makes it a nice one-stop errand. 10/10 highly recommend. So glad to have this in the neighborhood. :)
