I have never experienced a less professional business then this taxi company. My horrible…read moreexperience with this taxi company is one of the main reasons I started this yelp account. Everything about my experience was very bad. When I first called the taxi company, the operator at the other end was extreme rude. I then had to wait for 45 minutes for the taxi to arrive(which would have not been so bad if he had told me that is how long it might take). Then I needed to pick up a friend from the hotel that we where staying at and be driven somewhere else. Just before my friend came in the taxi, the driver told us that he does not accept debit/credit cards. My friend then asked if 21 dollars would be enough to cover the whole trip as that was all he had, and did not want to run back to the room. The taxi driver said that 21 dollars will be enough for where we were heading. However, in the middle of the trip he goes I am going to actually charge you two separate fares for when I picked your friend up. Which I thought was ludicrous cause we where both going together to the same place. When we got to our final destination the fare came out to 21 dollars(just enough for us to pay with my friends cash), however, the taxi driver was trying to charge us an extra 7 dollars that we did not have. My friend was even trying to figure out a way for us to pay him the extra 7 dollars. However, the taxi driver all of a sudden just threw a tantrum and started hitting his steering wheel. He then just told us to get out of his cab, and we left in complete shock. I am not from the area and only used the taxi company when I was in the Harrisburg area for work. However, I would suggest to anybody that is every in the area to not use this taxi company, try to find another form of transportation or get a cab from Harrisburg. It is not worth the hassle to deal with this unprofessional company.

A confirmation…read morecall was received from Yellow Cab on July 4 and plans for the trip on July 5 were confirmed in that call. On Friday, July 5, the cab did not arrive at 5:45am. I continued to call to explain that I had to get to the bus station before 6:30 am in order to catch the bus before it left. I called every 5 minutes. No cab arrived until 6:25. When asked why didn't a cab come sooner, the response was that yesterday was a holiday and the drivers were tired.

The ride was easy to book online but if you need to change the reservation, you have to call a number and it's a guy picking up who doesn't answer the phone with the name of the company or anything, and he's also very abrupt. The driver was 15 minutes late picking up my mom - no notification - which made her frantic with anxiety and I had to stop her from driving herself. Pluses were that he was apparently a good driver and they made it in time but still: unnecessary agita in terms of booking and the lack of communication about being delayed.

If I could give this supposed company no stars I would. I used them in 2018 when doing a lot of…read moretraveling for work at first it was okay and reliable, although I never believed the car quality/type they advertised to be correct. They were never the newest cars advertised, but they were clean, correct, and on time with respectable drivers. John then sold me an unlimited package for the year for as many trips as I and immediate family members needed to and from the airport, and of course I would need to pay up front. I was traveling at least every other weekend so the option seemed very appropriate to me considering the cost of one ride. The first few rides worked out great and then it started going south. I got picked up one day by a driver with a beat up, dirty clunker that talked a lot of smack about John and the company, and he also had his elderly lady friend in the passenger seat. If it wasn't for fear of being late for my flight i needed to take for my job, I would have told him to get bent and found another ride. I reported it to John and never saw him again. Next I started getting picked up by another guy he subcontracted out. This guy nearly made me late for a flight because he was more worried about his personal phone calls on one occasion. On a second occasion he was so late getting to my house that I left and drove on my own down to BWI and nearly missed my flight again trying to get my car parked. Fast forward to another occasion where I came home on a late flight, landing after midnight, and turn on my phone to a text message that the driver was involved in an accident and hit a deer and John would reimburse me for a taxi for me to come home. I was not happy. No taxis were available and I had to book another car service at 1am and get charged extra fees for getting a driver out of bed. John refused to pay for the ride because it was another car service and not a taxi. The final straw was a ride I had scheduled for my mom and I (remember the immediate family member part). We were flying out together but coming back separately so having the ride package would have worked out. Our driver never showed up and John stopped answering his phone. It cost us extra time, money, and anxiety to remedy due to John. John Arace stopped returning any phone calls or messages. I tried to turn him in and get some of my money back. All I have learned is what a scammer he is. It's a shame so many of us received the same run around story and had our money stolen by this criminal for services he never provided.
