AVOID THIS PLACE…read more Went in for a haircut late April due to their 20% new client discount and to try them. Showed up for my appointment and the salon was dead empty (1st red flag) with their discount on papers plastered everywhere (2nd red flag). Had to wait 10 minutes as they got my hairstylist who was doing who knows what in her car....(3rd red flag). I asked for a simple "modern mullet" hairstyle similar to what I nornally had with just the sides shaved and top and back trimmed. My hairstylist then proceeds to shave my sides almost all the way to the top, so I resemble "Cillian Murphy" from Peaky Blinders. I get it caters to a female clientale more, but really....? Turns out the 20% discount ended up not even mattering. The total cost was $40, but yet I had to pay $36...(20% of 40 is $32). Still, I chalked it up to just a bad haircut at a shady place and I could move on. Yet, turns out AGAIN, my debit card info was stolen from here, resulting in multiple DoorDash orders totaling over $500. So I beg anyone, avoid going to this place or you definitely will be paying for more than just a terrible haircut.

The haircut I got. Just plain terrible. Save your money and go somewhere else. This is sad. I cannot wait for my hair to grow longer.

I brought in photos of the color I wanted, the approximate length, and a verbal description of what I was looking for in a style. I was worried it would not come out well because I've had really bad experiences with getting my hair cut (see previous review of Fringe), but this place went above and beyond. I got the exact cut I wanted and the color is spot-on. Apparently this salon is pretty new (only open for a few months). But if you're considering coming here - do it. You won't regret it. Isis spent A LOT of time on my cut and color (almost 3.5 hours) and it only cost $85!! Amazing. Even with the $20 tip, that's still significantly less than most places in D.C. would charge. She was thorough, very nice, and continually asked me if I was okay (is the water too warm or cold when shampooing? How long would you like the side-sweep? Do you want some water?). It's rare to find this level of professionalism, courtesy, and talent with such a reasonable price tag. Especially in the D.C. area. I needed a stylish, yet professional cut with a rich and vibrant color. I got it. I'm so ecstatic with this haircut. It's gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back.

I stopped in to the store because I was driving by and they had signs out front. I decided to stop by and check it out. I first walked in and wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I walked in this place it was HUGE!! A lot bigger than I expected. I was first greeted by some of the employees who worked there. They were all ready and willing to help and assist (this was so much better than my past beauty supply store experiences) I was just browsing and was able to find some products that I've been on the lookout for just about FOREVER! They had the new Creme of Nature EDEN line along with the Hick's edge control that works wonders on my crazy edges. I also found some Brazilian hair for a really awesome price. They had a buy 1 get 1 free sale on it. I've had the hair in for about 2 weeks now and it's holding up really well so far. I think I'll have to stop back to check out their other track selections. They literally have walls full of tracks. I also got sucked into getting some earrings and necklaces they had so many cute ones, just couldn't help myself even though I was way over my budget at the time. Also, I have to give special mention to the lady in the Hair section she was soooo incredibly helpful. I didn't catch her name but she was shorter and light skinned. She's definitely going to be my go to girl when it comes to my beauty. read more

This BSS (beauty supply store) is one of the best in the DMV area. It's has excellent customer service the minute you walk through the door. All the employees are helpful and warming. They have a great variety of hair products ,jewelry, clothing, and the LARGEST SELECTION OF EXTENSIONS I've ever seen!! They also carry shoes too. I first came in to look for a wig and ended up with shoes, some shirts, and jewelry. I found the wig that I was looking for too at a very reasonable price. I believe they had a sale on it though. It was 20% off. Def check this BSS out, they're a much cleaner, more organized, and very helpful in providing beauty advice. read more

As I'm at the counter making my exchange, the owner came out of nowhere (I hadn't seen him the first time I went) and rudely told the boys they needed to leave. I was the only other customer in the store. The owner told the young men that they had to leave because the sign on the door says, "2 students at a time". He was nasty about it. The "sign" on the door is literally a loose leaf piece of paper with some writing with a marker. He never told the young men that there were only 2 allowed in at a time. He simply told them to get out. This is where I jump in to defend the young men. It is Saturday. There was no one else in the store. They weren't bothering anybody. They genuinely looked confused.
