Hampton Inn Downtown Freeport has a nice welcoming lobby. In the morning they offer complimentary…read morebuffet breakfast. Rooms are nice and cozy. My only recommendation would for them to improve shower heads . It shows signs of outdated. Towels I think needs to be replaced. They look too washed out (bleached out), too much. Otherwise if you're looking to stay at this hotel, I would recommend it. Staff are friendly and helpful. For more great content, check out YouTube.com/@AbroadTravel

There are only ten rooms per floor so we thought it would be a quiet place. That evening, however, a large group of adults and children took over multiple rooms across the hall from us. From around 6:30 until around 11 there was constant conversations and children screaming while running from room to room and slamming doors. Thankfully it stopped around 11 pm and we were able to get to sleep. The peace was short lived, as they wound up again just after one am. The next morning, as we were leaving for the day, we stopped at the desk and asked for our room to be refreshed. The clerk said she would have it done. On our return to our room we found it in the same condition as when we left. I went down to the desk and asked when the housekeeper would be available and was told that they were gone for the day. I told her that we had requested that it be refreshed. She told me that if it hadn't been done it was probably because I had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. (It really bothers me when a staff member automatically blames me without any information.). She said that she would talk to the housekeeper and make sure it was done tomorrow. I told her that we were checking out in the morning and she merely shrugged. I asked for towels and went back upstairs. The two stars are for our initial impressions, though that's being generous.

** Buyers beware **…read more Stayed here with a group while participating on a charity bike run. The hotel was completely sold out. Our room were clean. The tub didn't drain but otherwise no issues...wish I could say the same for our friends. Breakfast is the standard hotel selections, nothing fancy but it works. Swimming pool and hot tub were nice. Staff are pleasant but policy's and procedures need improvement for the safety of all guests. **After leaving our event at midnight and returning to rooms we had earlier in the evening checked into. My friend was unable to get in her room. The night staff member kindly reissued her a key. It didn't work so she had him come up to help. While trying the key himself he noticed the sequence of lights that the door was flashing. She was informed the room was occupied, her room that she paid for and had keys for. The hotel is completely full so he can't offer her another room. Luckily we were a large group and could let her sleep with one of us but it was an inconvenience to multiple couples as we shifted rooms and got a roll out bed. After investigating it was determined that a guest had stayed a few days in this room and when they "checked out" in the morning they then returned in the afternoon and simply asked for a new key and the desk attendant gave them one! The maid log indicated the room was cleaned the room. Once returning, they then switched the dead bolt which is why the lights indicated it was occupied. Apparently the hotel doesn't deactivate card for "24 hrs after check out just in case you forget something, you can go back". Really? What in the hell!?!! So someone can just walk into the next guests room if they choose,.....what happens to the maid turns in the left item at the front desk? HUGE safety concern! Yikes... needless to say we won't be returning and I'd suggest for your own safety to choose another hotel in the area.**
