Discovered this Super 8 by accident one evening when I was supposed to stay in Weslaco. Left the property the next morning extremely pleased with my decision to stay here.
To sum it up briefly, this property is one of the very best that I've seen in quite awhile. The owner clearly spent a ton of money renovating this Super 8. The rooms, with tile flooring throughout as well as two tables and a couch to relax on and enjoy a meal really justified my room rate as a walk-in ($58). Further, the king-sized bed was very comfortable and didn't feel extra soft or dirty in anyway. Even better was that the pool area on the exterior of the hotel looked quite appealing, and brand new as well.
Eating venues, such as WhatABurger, McDonald's and such are within walking distance of this Super 8. There is also a Valero gas station next door, which is quite convenient. The area around the Super 8 seemed to be quiet, which was good, considering that there is an additional parking area for 18-wheeler trucks to park in.
Overall, one good stay at an awesome Super 8. Will be back when in the area! read more
