Housekeeping was great, always had fresh towels and per their signage linens were changed every 3 days of stay. My view... not so good, oversaw a roof and my window was sealed shut. Not a biggie about the view but damn I'd have liked to open the window and get a breeze. Loved the fact they were pet friendly. Only had a $15 per night surcharge. The pool area was nice, water decently warm. Gym had a fair amount of machines and free weights too. The business center was a small nook I utilized a bit. A couple computers with 15" screens, nothing fancy but, enough to work on if needed. Common areas were clean and open too. Over all, I'd come stay here again if needed.

There are hotels in Dixon but I love staying here so it is worth the 20 minute drive to Dixon. I love the balcony rooms, it is peaceful to sit out and watch the river. The first morning I was here this week I counted over a dozen white swans in the river. I like to work with my laptop and bring my meals to the balcony. The balconies are furnished with chairs and a table. Breakfast is very good and the foods are kept hot and fresh. The area is clean and well organized. Employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Always an enjoyable stay.

The good news is, the solid surfaces were cleaner than expected and no bugs! No TV remote. The ceiling had a huge moldy water stain. The back entry to the hotel did not lock. That was disconcerting. A couple of the towels had been used to wipe a mouth or something and then neatly returned to the towel rack so they were not changed. If you want a cheap place to sleep, go for it.

The toilets in the bathrooms had not been cleaned and in one room did not work at all. The previous guest obviously had not been able to flush it and they left it their feces in it which was not cleaned between guests by housekeeping and the toilet was not fixed. They were moved to a different room, but that room was dirty too. In another couples room, there were no pillows & no towels and their bathroom was dirty too. In fact, all 8 rooms had dirty bathrooms. The TV's did not work and the Wifi was not functioning. The phones in the rooms did not work. The last night we were all there we were sitting in the breakfast area visiting with each other and a mouse ran out of the cupboards under where breakfast is served. Needless to say, no one ate breakfast there the next morning. This hotel was so bad, we questioned how they have a certificate of occupancy as there were many health & safety issues. Do not stay there!!!

Asking for towels got me the recycled cardboard that they give for the pool to dry off. Don't worry the pool users won't be put out as the pool is "closed for maintenance". They are closed as they had a pump go bad and it didn't pass inspection. Instead of fixing it it's just "maintenance". You can easily find the pool as it's next to the out of service bathroom. Can't find the bathroom? It's right next to the out of service elevator. Front desk staff is nice. One a little too nice as he called me "Daddy" as I left.

Neighbors who don't work and I assume live here at the hotel that get in screaming matches everyday like clockwork. The great restaurant in the brochure we saw is his personal kitchen now the restaurant is closed along with the gaming area with the pool table and slot machines. The pool smelled like dead fish. We were ready to leave on day 2. The part for the boiler never came. We checked out early to go to another hotel. At the desk were greeted by an angry ride possibly Jamaican woman who took our key and said "now you go" didn't get our deposit back or the money for the other 2 days we paid for. When we call he doesn't speak English now and doesn't understand us. And Expedia keeps giving us the run around about getting our money back. If I could give a lower rating I would.
