BEWARE of this hotels dishonest practices!!!!! I stayed at this Holiday Inn for over 30 days,…read morespending more than $5,200 during an extended stay. I paid day by day, in person, and received new room keys daily after each payment. On the final day of my stay, I received a fraud alert from my bank for a $935 charge from the hotel. I immediately contacted the front desk and was told it was an error and that everything was fine. Despite this reassurance, my card continued to receive multiple attempted charges totaling nearly $3,900. Later that morning (around 11:30 AM), I was contacted by staff and told there were days I supposedly had not paid. This made no sense, as I had gone to the front desk every single day to pay and receive new keys. I was given a printed statement, which they admitted still needed to be reviewed. At this point, I was locked out of my room, which contained all of my personal belongings. I was told the manager, Phillip, would call me. When I spoke with him, he listed three dates I allegedly did not pay--all of which I could verify with receipts from my bank. He then stated the front desk staff had made errors and implied that if the charges weren't covered, the employees would have to pay out of pocket. Still, no clear explanation was provided. Instead of resolving the issue, the manager stated he was off for the day (at 4 PM) and told me I would have to meet another manager at 7 AM the next morning at an entirely different hotel to discuss my account and retrieve my belongings and that "I just did not want to pay"When I asked to speak with someone who could help immediately, he hung up on me. When I called back, he hung up again. I returned to the property explaining that I had prescription medication inside my room that I urgently needed, yet I was still forced to pay an additional $535 under duress just to regain access. Even then, staff admitted multiple errors were made on their end but could not explain which dates were unpaid or why these issues occurred. After spending over $5,000 at this hotel, I was treated with a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability. This experience was unacceptable and deeply distressing. Long-term guests should never be treated this way, especially when mistakes are acknowledged as being the hotel's fault.

First, the location stated it was supposed to have truck parking and we had a large U-Haul so we…read morereally needed it. Upon arriving, we realized it does not have truck parking at all. It was also really hard to get in and out of the parking lot because there's a lot of construction going on in front of the hotel, it's a single, tight lane and it's almost impossible to get out with a U-Haul. We had a late check in, which I had already called ahead and informed them we wouldn't be there until about 2 o'clock in the morning since we were driving from another state. The guy behind the desk stated that he was new and it took him 30 minutes to locate my reservation and then tell me that the charge hadn't gone through. I pulled up my bank statement and showed him where I was charged for the room. Finally, we were given one key for three adults in a room. When we got into the room, it had a pullout sofa bed, which we needed, it had no sheets on it, so I went back to ask for sheets upon which I was given what it look like a curtain, a flat sheet to lay on, no fitted sheet and one pillow... The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and was badly stained. But this wasn't the worst thing. The room had deodorant pucks stuck into the air-conditioning unit and it was over powering. The next morning, my toddler pulled down the cushions from the sofa bed and we noticed they were badly stained chalky white, like, I'm not even gonna say what it looked like. The next morning I took a look at the offerings for breakfast. It was dry cereal, bagels, they had some batter for waffles, these really small prepackaged muffins and an apple, but that was about it. I went to the desk to check out and let them know all of the issues we had. I was told by the desk clerk that he wasn't the manager, and that the manager wasn't in, but he would pass along the message. I would never stay here again, and I don't recommend anybody else staying there.

Best Western - Jacksonville…read more Guests beware what rooms you get and towels, too. A lot of cutting corners for this family owned business. When I first arrived at the lobby the Indian lady that was checking me in, had no customer service, with attitude. As I presented her with my driver license to check in, I let her know, "I made two separate reservations for King Room and would like to stay in the same room without checking out the next morning." While she was looking for my reservation, she found my first reservation but said, "I don't see your second reservation." I presented her with proof of my email confirmation and booking confirmation, from two weeks ago. She persisted being rude and said, "I can't check you in for your second night till I get confirmation." During all this time, I was hearing loud laughs and conversations in another room - it was her family members. One of them came by to assist and magically, they found my second reservation. Once I finally checked into my room, 20 minutes later, the room looked pleasing to the eyes. The bed was comfortable and shower was good with great shower head pressure. Until, I started using the towels. The towels had human hair and light green stains on it. You can tell the towels are old and the family owned business are cutting corners. The towel rack had visible rust and or mold on it. Not exactly how you want to start your morning. The first morning I went downstairs to their main lobby to get breakfast, I stopped by front desk and asked, Nathan, "I'm leaving for the day, can you have someone put fresh towels in my room because the ones I had yesterday had stains and hair on it? Thank you, and they don't have to clean my room." Nathan was very friendly and professional. I would give him 5 Stars. The second morning, he even assisted other guests with breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre for this Best Western. I've had better breakfast at cheaper competitors. They used tissues for napkins. Eggs, on tray warmer, had visible grey stains. The tables and chairs were visibly old and worn out. Their bagels tasted rubbery, may have been expired. Only thing good about their breakfast was their sausage patties and yogurt. A lot of cutting corners for this family owned business. Guests beware of what you get.

I'm writing on behalf of my mother who is an 83 year old retired teacher living on fixed income. I…read morerecently helped her travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to visit family. I've stayed at many Best Westerns across the country over the years and it's generally a good experience. However, the conditions and staff running this location are some of the worst I've seen in any hotel I've ever stayed in (with the exception of Nathan who is great). Below are the broad strokes of our trip. When we checked into the hotel on Super Bowl Sunday, the tv wasn't working and when I attempted to call the front desk I discovered the phone was unplugged with no phone cord. After leaving the room to explain the situation to the front desk (which involved going outside into the cold), Nick finally came to the room and remedied the situation. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated issue. The tub in the bathroom needs to be reglazed and should not be rented out. The bathroom fan also needs to be cleaned. I work remotely and attempted to set up on the desk, but discovered there was no light bulb in the desk lamp. I didn't receive it until the next afternoon after I was told I'd get it first thing in the morning. The final straw was my mother stepping on an exposed nail sticking out of the floor. When I called the front desk and explained the situation to the woman working the desk sent a man with some rags to toss on the floor over the nail. When I tried to explain the to the man this wasn't a real solution, I discovered the man didn't speak English. So I again had to go to the front desk and when I attempted to explain to the woman at the desk that my mother has a compromised immune system due to her multiple myeloma cancer and we needed the nail in the floor repaired. I was told to calm down and that I was "overreacting". Eventually she sent the man with the rags back with a hammer to drive the nail into the floor. At this point the woman offered to change us to another room, but my mother just wanted to leave all together. We contacted Expedia were told the hotel management said we could check out early but would not receive even a partial refund. So unfortunately we had to stay for the duration of our trip. The next morning, my mother and I went to get breakfast. Normally Best Westerns have oatmeal, eggs, hash browns, etc. There was a waffle maker and biscuits thst looked like they weren't replenished the entire time we were there. There were constant shortages of plates and utensils. Every morning I had to call the front desk to ensure there would be juice, eggs, sausage, napkins and utensils. Nathan who worked the morning shift was always helpful and apologized for the inconvenience. There was a sign that said guests would be charged if they brought food back to the room. When I took a picture of the sign, Nick confronted me and said I couldn't videotape. I pointed out the hotel video camera on the wall taping us while we were eating, so him yelling at me not to video tape didn't make sense. Later, when we got back to the room my mother attempted to take a shower and discovered she couldn't lock the door because the lock on the door knob was reversed. The locking mechanism was on the outside so there was a risk of someone locking themselves inside of the bathroom. Next she saw a cockroach in the bathtub. I again explained this situation to the front desk and was told to "calm down" and that I was "overreacting". The rest of the trip was one bad incident after another. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience what we had to go through. The only positive was Nathan. He really really should be running that hotel. The rest of the staff needs sensitivity training. Especially when dealing with the elderly.
