One of the worst locations ever. The ATM failed and I now…read morehave to run after my deposit. Claim form filled in wrong, promised calls never happened. On top of it they cancelled the newly issued Debit Card which was replaceing the card which the ATM also kept. We are now struggling to make additional deposits to cover outstanding bills. This is not about a couple of $$ here we are talking about thousands. Sure, mechanical defects happen, it's just how these problems get solved. Other branches are now struggling to help but I will definitely leave 'The most convenient bank of the USA' for something better.

While walking down P street in the city I noticed their ATM and I though hmmm I've never heard o such a bank. I had already known that so needed to open a new account and the sight of this ATM put my thoughts into action. A couple of days later, I came back to the same location of where the ATM however I soon discovered that there is no branch there. So I looked the place up online and found out yet again, there's really no branches anywhere, except for one! I thought to myself- This is perfect! I called first before I came to ye branch in Tyson's Corner. Get this- the person who I spoke with is the same person who is helping me setup the account some three hours later. Over never experienced that kind of service at any bank in my entire life. I have a good feeling that things will go well with my new account!

I had paid off a lot of previous debt so I demonstrated the ability to pay previous obligations. I literally should have been their ideal client. But they denied my $1 million+ revenue business any line of credit (LOC), even a modest $50K. I went to another bank and got a $100K line of credit that was limited only because they were freaked out by Chain Bridge Bank's refusal to lend. A year later, I got a $250K line of credit with my new bank. Chain Bridge Bank appears to cater only to political campaigns. I fail to understand this since that's a very very risk undertaking. But they don't seem to care about almost sure-thing local businesses that are growing rapidly. And now we are 3 times the size only a few years later due to no help from them since they refused to extend a LOC.

A parent (unfortunately) banks at Citi so I've been roped into dealing with this sorry excuse for a bank. You have to make an appointment for almost any transaction. When you make an appointment you may have to wait anyway. They tell you they will call to follow up and never do. They have limited staff so be prepared to wait. Perhaps I am spoiled because I bank at another institution and I can easily walk in and accomplish what I need to do with friendly, courteous service. I am biding my time till when I am able to pull all funds from Citi. Stay away...

Citi clearly doesn't know how to tell time (red flag for anyone considering their dishonest banking services). Sir/Ma'am: Where does it even say in the terms and conditions/customer agreement about account block "inactivity"? Most banks don't do that and are very understanding of their various customers needs, so I'm not recommending Citi to family, friends, or anyone with common sense just like the other 1-star reviewing customers.

Additionally, not all branches have polite and customer oriented staff. The Gaithersburg branch on Montgomery Village AVE is in a terrible location. It is situated in a difficult access location. It is particularly troublesome for a person with disabilities. I hate that location and end up having to go to Rockville to do my banking. Highly inconvenient because I live in Germantown.

Convenient location although exiting the parking lot can be a bit difficult since you can exit on…read moreeither River or Falls Roads, but very close to the intersection. There's plenty of parking behind the building, but there are several reserved spaces for the bank along the drive when you enter from Falls Road. I prefer going to this location cause the staff are friendly, knowledgeable about the products BoA offers and they are at a quicker pace than some of the other locations I've visited.
