A few days ago, I saw a pair of white pants I liked in the window display and decided to stop in. When I asked if they had the pants in a "Large" size, the older woman working at the time (who may be the owner) looked at me and my body and very sharply (and rudely) said that this store is a boutique. She explained that if their store carried sizes larger than a size 10, it would no longer be considered a boutique. If the goal of this store is to leave potential customers feeling humiliated and shamed for their bodies, then I'd say they're doing a great job. Please shop at any of the other, actually inclusive, boutiques in Cocoa Village - in the case of our little town, one bad apple does not actually spoil the bunch. (And a quick side note: when my daughter later left a review on my behalf, it was removed for not being a "firsthand experience." Well, here I am, the woman who went into the store in the first place, leaving my review of my firsthand experience.)

I felt like I got good pieces for price so I'll be returning! I've also sold with them, which was easy and better than donating clothes with no profit. Owner and other staff member are nice, and a HUGE plus is that they have fitting rooms to try stuff on.

I am mid 30's and brought in brands like Ann Taylor, Loft, etc. I was told they are only looking for specific, more younger brands. The staff are friendly but are all very young. Every time I've been in the store, it is all older ladies in there, my teenager doesn't shop there. Just feel like they need to be buying / selling brands for people 30+ but they seem to be trying to appeal more to the teen market.

Signs are posted stating to ask for assistance if you see an item on display you want to try on. I did see a dress and I asked. I was told the dress was not for sale and she wouldn't take it off display. I was confused because that's sounds ridiculous. The dress was even outside of the store on display so clearly for sale. No sign saying it wasn't. She then went on to say it was damaged and undesirable which I thought also strange because why would you have it on display. Needless to say she was rude and I will NEVER bring anyone or refer them to this store. I love supporting local business but not this one.

Danielle, the owner, pours her heart and soul into this place, and you can see it in every little detail. The place is curated for fun and the prices are incredibly reasonable. My sister and I stumbled upon Retro Reef shortly after Danielle first opened in 2025, and I immediately fell in love with the shop, the unique pieces, and the overall atmosphere. My sister even worked with Danielle to plan the sweetest bachelorette night for me! Fast forward to 2026, and we had the most incredible time celebrating there again. You walk in through the "Rocket City Retro" doors (which house a very nice mid century modern store at the back) and go to the right for the Astronaut's Wife. They have many stunning quality clothes (especially dresses) within a well organized and cool store. I purchased white leather cowboy boots (which I'd been looking for forever!) and three dresses for New Years. The owner was kind and did not bother us while we were browsing. Great selection, reasonable prices, and a great name!
