Why 4 stars? He loves waterparks more than anything in life, but we've already been to Great Wolf Lodge on multiple occasions, and we preferred to book with Bonvoy points over shelling out the cash for GWL. Plus, we didn't have a ton of waterpark time on the schedule - win, win, win. One thing that was frustrating is that there was zero record anywhere on the internet of the height requirement for the slides here. Well, internet, I'm here to save you with the answers. We have a son that was 43" as of this visit, and he would be crushed to get his hopes up about doing these slides, only to find out that he's not allowed to. There's one big water "castle" with 3 slides. Those requirements are 42". We actually came here a couple of years ago and he definitely did those slides then, and he was most certainly not 42" then. So I'm not sure if they just changed these or they just weren't enforcing the rules in 2023, but they definitely were measuring him on this visit. Then there's one bigger water slide that's stand alone. The requirements are that you have to be 48" to ride freely, but 42-47" is ok with a life jacket. And then the same restrictions apply to the zip line where you can jump in the water after hanging from several feet above the water. The annoying thing about this was that we were there early in the morning and were the only ones doing it. Yet the lifeguard literally measured my son each time he walked up, despite the fact that he was literally doing it over and over again with no one else around. Make it make sense. Overall, this is not the most amazing waterpark you'll find. But when you book with points, all you have to pay is the resort fee and for parking. It's pretty good bang for your buck when you think about it in those terms.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when i needed assistance. The bathrooms were kept very clean and the lockers were maintained. I love to paddleboard and had such a great time doing it! Right now a portion of the river is closed due to construction, so you don't get to explore too much. We also rented a two person kayak for my husband and daughter and it was really fun. This isn't the fault of the company, but the river was so disgusting that I was not comfortable getting off the paddleboard or my daughter playing in the water. Just a lot of trash.

So my wife, daughter and I tried our hand at it. We had the most fun ever. It was special because it was my wife's was birthday. This was something she always wanted to try and I for one was glad that we all did. Ms. Theresa, was the person in charge of the rental place. Mr. Patrick who was a volunteer at the TCPaddlesports was really helpful as well. The only set back for me is that they have no changing rooms the portable potty is dirty and they have to put up the toilet paper so it won't be stolen. Since this is a nonprofit rental place the have no changing rooms. My advice is if you get there before they open and you need to use rest room. Make sure you have personal hand sanitizer and toilet paper. The price for an hour outing was $60.00. Ms. Theresa was truly awesome and very welcoming. Thank you Ms. Theresa, you made it fun.

Not only that but management was very disrespectful when we complained about our experience. If there are other services, go there! The positive reviews sucked me in but it really must depend on the captain you have. Either way, take the risk if you want. I heard the captain of the other ship that went out talking about the people on his ship negatively so I'm sure our captain did the same. Not worth all of that for the lake we went to. Steer clear.

So first of all, I love that there were no kids running around and it was a grown and sexy vibe, they had a DJ and they had different areas that were selling drinks and food I believe. So when I have seen commercials, I will admit that I thought that the lazy river was bigger and I thought there were more rides. The night I went, not all the rides were opened, I don't know if that's because it was a grown party or if they didn't have enough lifeguards. Regardless though, I had a great time, I hang out with my friends for about 2 hours. There was one point, where there was a big group between the wave runner and the lazy river that were having a dance party and doing line dances. I was able to get discounted tickets because we bought them early, so if I have the opportunity to do it again, I definitely would.

I don't think regular pricing reflects the experience, so we wait for deals and go in the off season, spring break in the summer is crazy packed unless you go right at open in a weekday, and even then lines get long before noon. I would never go on a weekend. It is also incredibly humid so bring tons of water, more than you would think. The rises are great, the staff is well trained and super sweet, and the side activities or entertainment they get occasionally is always a great addition. The crowding really does take away from the experience though.

Rv spot was filthy and definitely NOT cleaned prior to our arrival, space full of leaf piles, ants all around the Picknick table, empty beer Carton, framing nail on concrete parking pad, coat hanger and other trash, called office they sent a kid with a blower who did a 50/50 job cleaning up. This was on Friday late afternoon, on Saturday we were expecting to have a great time with out 3 grandkids considering the resort fees they charge on top of the rv site fees. We did have some rain so they canceled everything outdoors! FOR THE WHOLE DAY!! did they open up more activities in doors? Nope! Would they refund resort fees? Nope! It was rather ironic that ALL the extra pay activities that were not included in the resort fees were still open! We were told they have an indoor pool...nope! All pools closed! We ended up going to the activities barn where like I said everything was an Extra charge except the tiny mini golf room which was packed since everything else was closed, no organization in there so it was basically a disaster with at least 10 kids on every hole! They had a bounce house indoor with a sign that says maximum height 48" my grandkids are 4-6-8 so they were playing on it, a grumpy old man (employee) runs off my 50lb grand daughter for being 2" too tall. No exceptions even with all the outdoor activities closed. "Kid friendly?" Spent about $80 extra for the kids to make slime and paint a figurine. Later we decided to try out the Pirate's Cove Arcade. " that should be fun for kids" nope! Walked in and purchased a players card... loaded it with $$$ noticed a sign that says " no refunds" then noticed we WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS! 7:50 pm on a Saturday night in an arcade at a so called establishment for kids and nobody here! We soon figured out why.....most of the games were broken or turned off we walked around for about 10 minutes, I asked the kid playing on his phone by the door why all the games were broken he just looked up from his phone and shook his head as to say " who knows" then went back to his phone. We left went back to the rv and prepared to leave for the next morning. So disappointing, we were hoping for a fun trip for our grandchildren and this place turned out to be a wast of time and money. All in all we spent close to $450 for 1 1/2 days and 2 night in this place. We travel in our RV all over the country and this has to be the worst I hesitate to say "resort" so let's just say outdated, unkept over priced and obviously unprepared for inclement weather parking lot. I would suggest driving right on past this place! Complete rip off....

When we first arrive at 4pm we were told by the front gate attendant that our cabin wasn't ready and they didn't know why. Come and check back in an hour to see if it's ready. After I found out our friends cabin wasn't cleaned, I went to the front office I wanted to see what was going on and if they had and they said "we don't know why you were told that your cabin is clean and ready." That's when the communication between the staff started breaking down. We knew coming into this vacation our cabins heater was broken but to our understanding it had only been broken for a week. Come to find out from a maintenance man that was a lie and it had been broken for 3 months. When I asked the manager why wasn't I made aware of this when I booked this cabin 3 months ago because my friends and I would have booked other cabins! The manager had no answer for this. Our first cabin had black mold under the sink and around the bottom of the shower. There were ants in the bathroom and the water from the sinks and shower smelled like rotten eggs. There was no way we were going to use shower or wash our hands with that water. On night 2, the night manager finally moved us to a different cabin in the pirate ship. The newer cabin was clean but the ship was very loud from the interstate traffic and the 40mph winds. There wasn't very much for our kids to do and the property really needs to be cleaned up. There were lots of stray cats. It's just so unfortunate that we wasted our money staying here. After the first cabin and not being able to get our money back it was so hard to somewhat relax and enjoy our vacation.
